EriksBallerina answered Wednesday May 16 2007, 10:24 pm: Well, some people are probably vegeterians like me.
So i'd suggest you add some vegeterian options such as:
pasta with marinara/alfrado sauce (no meat or chicken or fish or anything)
vegetables?
cheese pizza
cheese ravioli
veggie burgers
pasta salad (again, no meat)
orphans answered Wednesday May 16 2007, 8:00 am: Well, first of all, you should make a salad. And there is no better salad than greek salad.
Wich consists of, letice, tomato, cucamber (the long greek thingy) maybe feta cheese, a couple of olives a little bit of salt, oil (olive oil if you can find it, its the best for that type of salad).
Then you can play safe with some pasta, its easy to cook, and can also condidered to be...a classy dish. Other than that its not what you cook, its how you serve it. Make some nice formal atmosphere, have some wine, depending opn what you cook and there you go.
I personally prefer BBQs. You cant miss with that one, everybody loves them. [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]
Sabine answered Tuesday May 15 2007, 9:11 pm: Okay, please don't rate this. I'd like to suggest some dishes, but I need more info. Some things, like fetuccine alfredo, would feed a lot of people but can't sit around long and can't really be reheated. So it would help us to know:
1) How many people are you feeding?
2) Are you planning on charging and, if so, do you want it to be cheap or more pricy?
3) What kind of facilities do you have? Like do you have a place to keep crock pots plugged in? Do you have real plates or will it be disposable only? Do you have a refrigerator to keep things that should be kept cold? Are you going to have room for things like salad dressing, butter, soy sauce, etc.?
4) Are the people who are eating going to have to be doing something else as well, such as listen to a presentation?
5) Are there mixed ages present, like toddlers as well as grandpas?
All of these things would factor into what kinds of foods I would tell you to serve. If you could please describe this, I will give you some very specific advice.

+CHICKEN pot pie
