you could attend local art classes that are being held in your area... ask people who have the same interests you do or look online. also, look up summer camps that involve your interests. a lot of colleges hold them and it can be really fun to get away and meet new people who like the same things as you. hope this helps.

To me it sounds like you're a very smart person, so try reading. It sounds dumb, but it's one of my favorite past times. I spend almost all my spare time at school in the library. There are so many great books out there to read, and a lot are directed towards teenagers. If you would like a list of wonderful books, let me know and i'll give you one via feedback.

If reading isn't your thing, try exercising. It's healthy and fun to do if you make it. I'm a cheerleader, so I like practicing at home to get better. I stretch, practice my jumps, splits, tumbling, etc. You could do something similar if your interested.

Try joining a sports team. Basketball, volleyball, cheerleading, etc. If you're out of school/don't like sports try joining a club or organization.

*Make a collage.-U can cut out clippings in magazines or photos of you and put them together through a collage.

*Make a scrap book- Get creative. Make sure you capture memories of the times you really had a lot of fun. Like napkins, food menus, etc. from your favorite restaurants.

*Monopoly- Invite over some friends. Monopoly takes sooo long to finish. But the entire game is fun.

*Twister- Have fun with some friends. Or you can even invite over the guy you like. (because twister can require some physical contact)lol.

I hoped I helped you. But if not then, just send me another message.

Ok-first off, there are tons of photography compititions you could enter, with prizes ranging from money to certificates. Check out your local Media or Photography club at school or your community, or just search online-there's always new ones.
Also, one of my favorite things ever to do is collages...take a posterboard and fill it with sketches, pictures, 3-D artwork, and at times even magazine pages or rough pieces of paper.
If you don't like any of this, talk to your Student Goverment or community leaders to see if you can help design posters for fundraisers-it's a fantastic way to express yourself and help others, too.

I'm going to be honest with you, I'm not the most creative person when it comes to these kinds of things. As far as putting all of these into one single piece of art. But I will try my best to answer your question. :)

You could create a sculpture, create a beautiful painting of it, and you could also draw it, as well.

Here is a website, that may give you some ideas.

Good luck, and I'm very sorry I couldn't help you more!

Make a board that describes you.
Just get any color board you want.
Then get pictures, old jewlery, old movie tickets, ribbon, etc etc. (anything you can think of)
Then put everything all over the board and don't worry about everything being organized and have stuff hanging off.
Just be creative.
Also you could match the colors in it to your room then hang it up in your room when you are done :]
That was an idea of mine but here is a website with a bunch.

Have fun!

collages are a great way to combine a bunch of different types of art mediums into a single peice. if you don't like collages, try being experimental and take a picture of a building (black and white) and then paint (in color) on top of it. art is your thoughts transformed into something physical. just have fun with it and do what ever you feel like. hope i helped

LM answered Wednesday January 31 2007, 3:08 pm:
Take your camera with you and go for a walk. Go somewhere you don't usually go- within reason, of course. Don't like, go wandering into the middle of nowhere, but take a different route to a friend's house or something.

When you see something that catches your eye- a spectacularly painted Victorian house, a weird-looking statue or monument, something like that. Take a few pictures from different angles (you'll need them if you want to make a model). To get more photography stuff in, use different color effects, fiters, lenses, etc. Don't know how much you're into it.

When you get back home, you can use the pictures you took to build a scale model of the house, or something. To be really precise, you'd have to measure the house, but you could estimate.

You could also take a picture that inspires something in you.. a certain colored flower, a scenic fork in the road, or a nice view of a river. You could print out the picture, and design a frame to put it in. Hmm... more artsy than sculpture-like, but it still sounds pretty cool.

hope I helped you, this was a really interesting question! :)

Try doing a "Splatter" painting. Just get a peice of white canvas or something of that kind. Various colors of pain in little 3 inch high 2 inch long tubs and just throwing the paint at the canvas, it's really fun and when you're finished a lot of the time it looks really cool. Just put an old sheet down first...

Good Luck!

solidadvice4teens answered Tuesday January 30 2007, 8:56 pm:
Have you ever thought of creating your own (serious) business and get a business license so you can sell your work through home? You could start offering to take photos of people's weddings or events for a low price, sell masks, sculptures, artwork etc on Ebay or online. It's worked out for people I know.

If there's a local art gallery in your city or town go visit them if you need advice on how to sell your work. They may also have classes you can join or may need someone to help teach kid's/adult classes as an assistant. Look for an internship possibility too as you never know, they may need student tour guides or volunteers

If you love architecture you ought to try your hand at set design. There has to be a community theatre group either for youth or adults that will let you join and could use your skills to design sets for plays.

Community theatre groups also use photographers to take publicity photos for their archives and for the local papers. They also need people skilled in photography and art (graphics etc) to design programs and take headshots of the actors, director for display in the lobby. See what you can do with that.

angie91 answered Tuesday January 30 2007, 8:52 pm:
I woke up this morning and I had three questions in my inbox (let me tell you that was a first) and I was super excited. I looked at the first one and it said that it was about guys. Then I looked at the second one and it wasn't really a question, more of a comment on a question I'd answered before. and Then yours. well I went out today, and I thought about your question all day.
To be honest, I love architecture and design and I said for years that I wanted to be a graphic or interior designer. But then I shocked everyone when I didn't take any courses this year in graphics. But I know exactly what you are feeling. I hate being bored. It drives me insane. I have a really creative... I don't know background I guess. I always pick out stupid little things and criticize them, but I am way more into writing, so that's what I do when I'm bored. I don't really have any painting experience or anything so I don't know how to create projects. But I think that if you go online there are probably a lot of contests in that area. But if you don't want to get competitive, then why don't you try to talk to your art teacher. Or if you aren't in an art class why don't you join one? I know that that is one thing that I always wanted to do, but give me a paint brush and I have no idea what I'm doing. I made a macaroni picture with a little girl when I was babysitting last week and that was my true shinning. My Mom put it up on the wall. LOL! But you know your talents, so you have to find a way of expressing them. You can take a class, or you can go to a craft store and browse around. Talk to the people who work there and see what they say.
If you want to do some photography, you could try and find a project that will make a gift for someone. Say you baby-sit the girl next door, and she her parents anniversary is coming up. Why don't you take her to the park and take a bunch of black and white pictures of her playing? Then make a scrap book or something else for them as a gift. Or make a collage of your friends. Or make a film that showcases your friend's birthday.
If you like architecture, one thing that we were going to do in my graphics class last year that we didn't end up doing was building a 3D house out of this like foam core stuff and it was a really cool project I really wanted to do. That would be a really great thing to put into your portfolio if you decide that you want to be an architect one day.
Sculpting, you could like make small sculptures of all of your friends. And then showcase them one day.
But as far as designing a project for yourself that is combining all of those into one, I don't know if I'd be able to figure something out like that. I'll probably think of something like a year from now lol and it will drive me mad.
If you go to the library and look through some magazines on architecture then you can see what kind of projects inspire you. I'm sure you are super creative, and you don't need me to come up with a fantastic project for you, you can do that by yourself! I know you'll think of something awesome if you think about it a bit. If all else fails and you just need something to do, then draw. Whether you're awesome, or you're like me who can't draw anything more than stick people I know you'll find something awesome to draw and keep the creativity flowing. If you keep your mind working and your left brain inspired to work harder, then you will be able to think of something eventually. Things that work the left brain are things that involve doing things out of the ordinary. Have you ever played with a little kid and realized that you have totally lost your imagination? That happens to me because I don't use my imagination as much anymore, but if you do things spontaneously and make up things that totally dont make any sense, then you'll work on your left brain and you'll be able to think of these things that you wouldn't have thought of otherwise. And keep things like music and reading going on in your life as well. And if you really want to work on idea making, listen to classical music, though it's boring and not very much fun, it stimulates the mind (like reading) and helps your mind to work harder.
I hope I helped to either spark some ideas or help you find a way to spark your own ideas. Thank you so much for asking me this question, and good luck finding something to occupy your time. And remember, you can do anything you set your mind to. So even if you think that it's something that will never happen to you (like writing happened for me) it will if you want it too. Just try and find your way outside of the box. And don't conform, because that's the least creative thing you can do. So keep the creative juices flowing, and I wish you good luck in following your dreams! If you ever need anything else let me know! Lots of love,
Angie91

There are tons of fun things to do, one thing is latchhooking. Have you ever tried it? If you haven't, its a piece of material with holes and you use this tool to tie small strands of yarn into it. When you are done with it, it looks like a big furry sort of thing.

You said you liked architecture, photography, and sculpture into one single piece of art... what I can think of is getting clay, and sculpt it into a sky scraper, and put pictures of your friends into various windows here and there.

But aside from that, there are still tons of things to do. In the winter, since you can't do much outside, you can get a magazine you like and read it. Some magazines even have suggestions of things to do.

You didn't mention if you are a boy or girl so I'll list ideas for both-

If you are a girl, you can try things like rearranging your room for a fresher look. If you like to read grab your favorite book. Scrapbook, listen to music, even clean your room & do your homework.

If you are a boy, you can play games on the computer, read, hang with friends, ask your parents anything you can do for money because then, another time when you are bored, you can spend it (:

Sorry, the answer was long but I didn't give that many ideas. The other advice I can give you is ask your friends what they do when they have nothing to do, and get ideas from that. Have fun =)

Tim and I played the random game for an hour in gym because we were bored and it was pretty entertaining (It's where you say random objects taking turns and who ever repeats a word loses -- incase you didnt know). Go to games.atari.com and you can play monopoly, scrabble, and blah blah with real players. Also (although you have to make an account) go to games. yahoo.com -- they have tons of games there but be careful who you talk to.

When I'm bored (I wish I had time to be bored) I go to storywrite.com or allpoetry.com and just write a story or a poem. If you're not into that, just call up a friend and talk to him/her.

Haha, what I do sometimes is take one of those house advertising magzines with all the layouts in there and pick on room out of it and just decorate the room in whatever way I want to. In other words, just take some graph paper and make a house and design a room.

Have fun =]

Hey. It was so funny to read this because you sound Exactly like me. I love that kind of stuff. Here are some suggestions that I hope you will think are fun. You can make a scrapbook with pictures of all your friends and family, you can build a house (out of any materials you would like) that you would like to live in sometime in the future (I'm not sure how old you are). Then you can make a book to go along with that house and put a picture of each of your friends and family members. Then write a description about something you put in the house to fit each of their personalities and why. You can try to make a pot and then paste pictures onto it that you took, you can build a jewlery box (out of wood they sell at a craft store) and paste pictures onto that, or you can build a small, decorative chair and paste pictures of your favorite vacation spot on it and then make a matching pot. I really hope this helped and if you need more ideas feel free to ask. Good luck! =)

Cj answered Tuesday January 30 2007, 7:23 pm:
Ok, the only reason you can be bored is if you make your life boring.
And something that is always boring is something that is monotonous.
and monotony is achieved because there is no variation.

So spice up our life the simple way,
Instead of simply mashing a piece of paper before you throw it away, shred it into a million pieces.

or you can draw your architecture stuff, and then make a play do version of it, and try to take a photograph of it, but make the photograph in such a way that your image is obvious once you know what it is, but near impossible to distinguish otherwise. That should give you alot of practice with lighting etc.

Or you could just break something then try to fix it.

PunkieFreak4690 answered Tuesday January 30 2007, 5:48 pm:
Hey, thank you so much for choosing me to answer your question, and supply you advice!

Some wonferful ideas that I have tried myself was to design your own picture using dye paper and album stickers. You put the dye paper first on the table or flat surface, and get some photo album stickers (they are like small pictures you can paste under the photo sheets in a photo album), and design patterns on the dye paper. Then, frame it with a wooden frame, yet paint the frame to any color. But for the best, try matching it with the design. You can come up with themes on this, too, such as walking on the beach (using sandpaper and stickers of footprints or feet), candlelight dinner (using black paper, and stickers of candlesticks), a garden (using different kinds of paper, shredding it into pieces, and pasting it on another piece of paper, then using flower or tree stickers). I know it sounds a little confusing, but once you go at it step-by-step, you'll get the idea and get through it easily. So frame this 'masterpiece' of yours, and you can save it or sell it. (approximate cost - $8.00)

Make a pillow! Go to your local craftstore, and pick up some colorful cloth. It can be velvet, polyester, cotton, or nylon. But avoid wool. Solid colors may be around 3 dollars a square foot, and special decorated ones can run a few dollars more. Next, find embroidery floss (if you HAVE to use thread, combine it with 3 pieces ot thread together to give it the same strength). Then get polyester stuffing. They're cheap. They go just a few dollars a bag. Turn the cloths upside down, and make a line using a ruler on the edges. Use any kind of shape or form (you can make it circular, rectangular, or triangular around the edges). Then stich up the edges following the line, and leave a small hole to put the stuffing in. Afterwards, put the stuffing in and stich up the hole. Then you are done! You can also decorate the cloth before stiching it up, like writing your name, whether in pen or using embroidery floss. There are stencils you can use to draw out design and stich it. (approximate cost - $10.00)

Go to a local pottery shop and make your own ceramic pot! It's easy and fun. You can make your own flower pots, vases, cups, bowls, and other common household objects. (approximate cost - $6.00-$15.00 - depending on size of pottery)

Also, Valentine's is coming up, so click here [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) and design Valentine's decorations. They look really cute to make =].

Paint a small wooden statue (of a flower, house, pet, etc) you can find these at any craft store, too. I love doing these!

Also, are you in High School? Because a lot of high schools have fun architecture, photography, sculpting, and art classes that can get you creative and imaginative. If not, there are soo many clubs and organizations out there that offer art-related classes and just for-fun activities.

I hope I helped! I am not very huge on designing ideas with art-related stuff but I have tried a lot of methods I gave out, and It really entertained me, especially making pillows and blankets. That's always fun! If you weren't satisfied with my answer, I'll be happy to edit it! Just leave your comments and suggestions on the feedback and I will get to it soon.

Have fun! =]

a fun thing to do is make a scrapbook. Paste all sorts of pictures (family, friends, pets etc) and write crazy things beside them! You can make one for yourslef or a family one or just a friends one. You can cut out diferant shapes and stuff from colour paper and paste them on. Find things around your house to pitch in. One thing i want to do when i have time is make a memory book. Filled with memories of my friends including pictures. That is basically like a scrapbook. You can redecorate your room if you want...or ummmmm....make a new hairstyle or something. Experiment with make-up, try differant shades of eyeshadow or something. That can make you less bored. 3-D puzzles are really fun to do also. Sorry if i wasnt much help...if you need anything else dont hesitate to ask me:)

well, i havent tried it yet, but i always thought it would be cool to design a magizine cover about my day or week. You could do it on the computer, or not. I would put a picture in the backround, and little captions saying what happened that day or week. If you dont like that, you could make a model of a famous building, like the leaning tower of piza. or, design your dream building or home. hope i helped =) sorry if this wasnt what you were looking for but i tried.

Let's see...fun stuff to do...well, I don't know if it's winter where you are, but my friend and I love to build snowforts. HUGE ONES!!! Just throwing a sleepover party with all of your best friends is great too. Get soda, chips, whatever else you want, and movies. Lots and lots of movies (preferably scary movies and the most hilarious comedies you can think of). I'm sorry if my stuff doesn't sound fun. But anything you can do with your friends can be fun. I wish you luck in finding something you like to do though.

Why you chose me to answer this question, I don't know, but....

I channel my boredom and excess energy into my writing. I write monologues, short stories, and scripts, and I find the process very rewarding, especially when it wins an award or gets made into a movie or play.

While on that, I also direct movies. That can be incredibly fun, and it's very easy to do if you can round people up.

Plus, there's always www.bored.com

TheDayTripper answered Tuesday January 30 2007, 3:33 pm:
Well,if you would really like to be busy,I can think of a few ways to combine all of those into one.

1)You could sculpt a scene out of clay.Include things like buildings, and make all of the props and everything yourself.

2)Make a collage. If you want,do it on your computer.Use all of the pictures to make a larger image. If you want to get even more in depth with this, have the pictures relate to whatever you're making (for instance:if you make a heart have all of the pictures be of something red,for a cat use only pictures of cats,etc...)

3)Sculpt something fairly large(something flat would work best)and put photographs onto the sculpture. They can be used for color,to add a certain emotion...

Hope I helped with your boredom :)

alright well you could get like a bunch of magazines and maybe make a collage of like shoes? or something you like thats in the magazine. whatever. or you said you like archietecture and sculpting, so maybe if your friends birthday is comin up, or a special someone you have for valentines day, you could make a like sculpture of them. like get clay and make a bust (a sculpture from the shoulders up [i learned that in english today =)]) or well you sound artsy so maybe try just like free painting, paint what you see in your imagination and make it real..thats all i can really think of, hope i helped =)

illdomybest answered Tuesday January 30 2007, 2:27 pm:
some of these are new things and some of them are pertaining to what you said..see if your interested in any

If you have a camera and some friends you could do make up and hairstyles and dress up and take pictures like models and create a photo album.

You could get some beads and string or jewelry crafts or hair accesorie crafts sold at wal-marts k-marts and other hobby stores create your own designs and either make them for your self or sell them. You can do that alone or by yourself.

You can buy some material or use old clothing and get somepatterns or make stuff up on a drawing board and create your own fashions. With someone or by your self.

You could get some sculpting clay and sculpt nd then take photos or just keep it like that.or take a phot of what you want to sculpt and create a sculpted replica of it.

You could get some modeling glue and some craft supplies and build your dream house or doll houses and playsets and give them has gifts to younger kids or sell them. Take pictures to advertise them.

I dont know what kind of weather your having now but you could try hedge sculpting or plant sculpting..thats something you could make money off of to if you desired and do it well. For practice you could buy some bushes that have been preplanted and take them in a room with a tarp covered floor or go outside and take a whack at it.

You could makes vases or baskets and make flower arangements. or flower arangements with out the vases and baskets with the choice of artificial or real flowers thats another thing you could custom make and sale if it turns out you do it well.

With things you make and can sale you could take pictures as examples or scan the pictures in the computer and make your own catalog and print. Put them in neighbors mailboxes, give them to parents friends, your friends, pass it around to people in school or school staff and teachers or both, put in break room at work,e.t.c just make sure you include a form of contact.
..
If you do try jewelry making or hair fashion or clothing and discover you really good at it you could take pictures of examples that youve did and have people custom order and pay you to make them..i have a friend who did that he did get alot of business but his only setback was that sometimes he wasnt motivated enough.

if you need anymore or other questions feel free to write back

phillysprincesss answered Tuesday January 30 2007, 1:21 pm:
It sounds like your are off to a good start with your interests. Winter is a great time to take pictures in my opinion. You could go to a park or just out in your neighborhood on a snowy day, depending on where you live, and take some nice black and white photos. You could make a collage out of all of your photos, or even a scrapbook, or like a memory book for one single occasion. You could go to a craft store and buy some new supplies or get some ideas out of books that they have there. You could also try to take up something new. It sounds like you are crafty and artsy. You could try knitting or crotcheting, I know it sounds corny, but it is very soothing. I used to make blankets when I was bored when I was around 15-16 years old. If you have a Michael's arts and crafts store around you, they are always having free classes or classes for a small fee. Also for just plain old fun grab some friends and do something like movies, bowling, ice or roller skating. There's a million different things to pass the time. I hope this helped you a lil bit:-)

killerface answered Tuesday January 30 2007, 9:44 am:
I like art too :]
I knit. [I've done scarves and hats and a purse] It sounds gay, but it makes you feel really accomplished once you've finished something.
You can get knitting looms from walmart or almost any other craft stores like michaels or jo ann fabrics if you wanted to make beanies. i personally like them. [the looms come in four sizes, i believe. they should go red [the biggest] then green, yellow and blue, the smallest.] make sure you pick up one of those nifty instruction guides too, if you don't trust the one that comes with it.

I paint. Watercolor, that is. The supplies are the cheapest, in my opinion, too. All you need is the water color paper [get the real deal, not just construction paper--but it doesn't have to be the $18 stuff.] the cheapest set of paints, [mine cost about $7] and a couple brushes. I do alot of beach scenes, since I live in Florida.

I do photography. I have a camera, [not THE best around that's out, but still digital and several megapixels.] I take pictures of everything, from the mall on friday nights to when i visit my family on the weekend to when i go on vacation and i load them on my computer, go through them all, delete the ones i dont like, and go get the rest developed.

expensive, yes, but cool. it's fun to go through the pictures with friends or family. then, you crop them [if you haven't already] and glue them together. i usually get a bright colored piece of posterboard [the number of pictures you want to get on there will determine the size you want to get.] and stick them all on with glue [not too much] or some double sided tape at different angles, then around the pictures with markers write captions, drawings, anything really.

I wish I did something like sculpting-- but there's always playdoh :] that stuff's the bomb.

And, if you're truly bored out of your mind, there's always websites.
www.bored.com
www.addictinggames.com
www.neopets.com
www.quizilla.com

i go to all of those sites regularly.
-Hope I helped. Have fun on your projects.

"Find a good book. I hated reading untill i found a book I loved and i relized that i love reading when theres something good to read. Maybe go outside and just walk around, jog, go on a trampoling if you have one, even a swing set. Take your ipod or mp3 player, cd player, and just sit outside and look at a veiw. I do that all the time cause I just sit on my swings and look at the pond in my backyard. I always say I will, but one of these days Im going to lay on my trampoline and just look at the stars with my ipod on. Maybe work out, like do sit ups or go on a tredmil. If you have a pet play with them, like throw the ball around with your dog if you have one. Invite people over and if they say your house is so fun then they can pick something out to do. Try cooking, its really fun and you can always eat what you just made. "

I already told someone else that. You might not have the same problem, but the solution is near the same. Go for walks with friends, hang out with people. I think how you do art work is awesome. Get together with a friend and just walk to like your nearest grocery store, but some kind of dessert, then bake it. Sure you end up eating it all, but its fun and a snack. Theres a whole bunch you can do, even if some other people think its lame. As long as it keeps you occupied.

Take pictures of everything! Make a picture montage type-thing of your trip. Some of your friends could model for you, too. I've done this before & it was really fun. All the pics came out great aswell. Sorry if this wasn't exactlay what you're looking for. Good luck!

Well, what I used to do when I was bored was built stuff too.
When you open your eyes and look around, there are so many things to occupy your time with.
Try to make a really unique building or landscape using different mediums like clay, straws, sticks and flour.
Then after you're done, place it in a nice setting and use different lights to take pictures of it and build a portfolio.
