advice
I'm a 42 y/o single man. Less then a month ago my best friend died in an accident. I have not been able to come to grips with his death. I have recently been having thoughts of ending my life. This happens whenever I am alone, especially at night. I have lost loved ones before, including my parents and brother all within a year of each other, but I never felt this type of despair, or loneliness. I am afraid I may eventually give in to my suicidal urge. Can anyone help me?
Well first off, I'd like to say I'm sorry for this devastating loss. You've lost many people and it's not fair. Everything everyone said is great for you and I'm going to go off that instead of saying what they are saying already just rephrased. You feel even more upset at night because it's dark. Darkness brings upon dark thoughts, so when there is light, you have lighter thoughts. There is a therapy called bright light therapy. May I suggest using a room that you have no use for towards this? In this room, basically all you have is bright lights. There can't be any shadows or anything so even if you close your eyes there will still be light. The elimination of dark makes your thoughts lighter and puts you in a better mood and levels your thoughts off. I hope that you don't fall to suicide. I believe if you talked to a psychologist and did this therapy and tried to stay positive you can pull out of this. Just remember, you're attitude determines your altitude.
I have to make a cereal box for a school project.
the catch is, the cereal box has to have something to do with morality, conscience, church, Jesus, etc.
the name of the cereal has to sound like a regular cereal. for example: Captain Conscience, Church Charms
I can't use those because other kids in my class are using them so I need some ideas!
I also have to have a slogan and a jingle to go with it so if you have an idea please help me out!

So, I got my period yesterday (it's not my first one) and my periods last like 2 weeks and here's the problem. I'm leaving tomorrow to go to my neighbor's lake house for 6 days and 6 nights. My period will probably be going through the WHOLE time I'm there. The house is a little cottage and the only fun things to do are wakeboard & tube in the water. I haven't been able to wakeboard in 3 weeks because I've been busy and I was so excited and now I probably can't go. I'm thinking about wearing a pad on my bathing suit shorts and some crappy shorts from old navy over them & I'll wakeboard like that. I don't wear tampons, I'm not ready. Is there anything I can eat/do to make my period stop or go by quicker?! If not, what do I wear in the water while I'm tubing besides a tampon?? Ugh, this is such a lousy situation. Please help me. =]
I'd actually have to disagree with the first person's answer. The dissolving part is right, but wearing a pad is not. The pad is made to absorb liquids, so if you put it in water it just gets all big and very uncomfortable, trust me on this one. It happened to me once and it was incredibly uncomfortable. Just don't wear anything and you should be pretty fine. Have fun and be safe =)

First of all, how's this site possibly racist? Any proof? Any at all? I'd love to hear why you think it's racist. I'm sure that there are some racist people on this site seeing as there are many, many people on here. Yet, at the same time, there are so many people on here that ask questions and answer that it's almost impossible to tell their color or ethnicity. People give their answers based on their own opinions, their life, and what they truly believe will help the person. So please explain how this site is racist because i do not comprehend that.

That would be the exact definition. It breaks because when you penetrate your vagina, it has to or nothing can enter it. It can break at any time. During sports or during sexual intercourse or masturbation. It doesn't matter. Depending on how much it is stretched or even broken will effect if you bleed during intercourse.

At what age do teenagers usually get past basic levels of thought and begin thinking more intellectually?What I mean is...when do they start to form their own opinions,have some idea of what they want out of life,and just generally gain a more adult outlook?
I'm 14 and going into 10th grade. i think that everyone matures differently. i matured some what when i was in 8th grade and even more when i was in 9th grade. this has to do with the way i've been raised and the hard ships i've faced. last year i started to cut, got caught, got in trouble and i learned from it. i haven't done that since. then issues with my mother about my friends taught me that i should pick friends wisely. i recently got in trouble for drinking, i learned that it can wait till i'm 21. i also got into a lot of verbal fights with people but i learned that they are pointless. but yet for most kids in my high school, they are not really that mature. they all drink or do drugs. and the drama in my school could make your head spin. so to ask what age. it really depends on the person, their expierences how they handle them, and how they were raised. for most kids, i think it might hit them late senior year of the summer after their senior year. because they realize they don't have it easy anymore and they need to grow up and make a living for themselves. no more help from mommy and daddy. and a lot of them get scared from it. me personally, i buy most of the stuff i own because i really don't like having people buy stuff for me or give me money. i'm only 14 but i already know i'm going to be a pharmacist and go to albany college of pharmacy. i also know that school is very hard because my oldest brother goes there, but i want it more than anything and i'm going to work for it to the best i can. maturity is just a word. and people throw it around like they do love. people can say they are mature, but how do you really know? for all you know about me, i could have made up this entire then thus making my entire answer false. it's all a matter of background on a person.

ok i just realized that i have a big growing stomach. maybe because i cant stop eating at mcdonalds. i still try to fit into clothes that fit me about 50-60 pounds ago. i insist on wearing belly shirts with tight jeans, and i recently got my belly button pierced and i want to show it off. i dont really want to go on a diet or attempt to lose weight, and i dont care if my fat tummy spills over the top of my jeans and hangs out for everyone to see, i think i look just fine. the only problem is my mother, she constantly tells me that nobody wants to see my round jiggly belly and to cover it up. she even offers to buy me bigger sized clothes. but the thing is i dont want to buy bigger clothes, im 100% ok with letting everything hang out, idc what people say.i really dont want to here about it from my mom so what should i say to her to get her to shut up?
well if you actually listen to her and lose weight or buy bigger clothes she'd shut up and it'll turn out fine. no offence, but its grimy when people show off their fat stomach to the world to see, because frankly and not to be rude because your entitled to do what you want, but no one wants to see it.
lately there's been a lot of pressure to get into drinking/getting high. im wondering if when you're high, can you control yourself in any way, like around parents? im basically asking if there's anyway to hide either of these, or if i'll just have to do it and sleepover at a friends that night.
ok listen. that stuff is not good. i just got in trouble for drinking recently and was supsended from my school's sport team. it's not a smart idea. i don't know much about getting high seeing as i never had. but i've been around it and you will smell like it and you will have bloodshot eyes and your eyes will be like half closed. drinking, your breath useally gives it away. and when you talk or walk it can be noticeable. basically if you are going to make bad decisions, you shouldn't be around your parents. never do it and come home unless you want to get in big trouble. i would just say don't do it because it's not good for you, i'm guessing it's illegal (for drinking, it's always illegal to use drugs) and i'm guessing your relatively young and you shouldn't be ruining your life, but of course it's your life and your choice.

well my stomach does the same thing but no i'm not pregnant, i'm a virgin. you did not specify if you were a virgin or not, if your not then it's a possibility, though its odd to have your period so it looks like it's just like you have an odd stomach like myself. but if your worried about it just get a pregnancy test!

i'm in 9th grade and most people in my grade are in the grade range. pretty much everyone has kissed and stuff, a little less have been fingered or given an hj, a ton of people have given head or been eaten out. and about half have had sex or tried to but didn't, or they have atleast talked about it.
