So... about senior prom. Will it be DEVASTATING if I don't go? My friends are really cynical about it and don't want to go, and no - I won't be able to convince them to go. My best friend is setting it up. She has to go. I could go with her... but I don't really know the other friends that she would be hanging out with.
The thing is - I don't really want or NEED to go. But I just don't want to go and have an awkward time because I feel like I'm OBLIGATED to go. Is prom really that big of a deal? (link)

just go, its one of those once in a lifetime things. people are gonna ask you about it, it will come up for the rest of your life and you want to say you have experienced it. i would say its a pretty big deal. you can always leave early but i'm pretty sure you'll end up having fun between the actual pro and after prom party

your uncle would probably think its werid if he doesn't know about it already. 25 and 18 is a pretty large age gap when you are this young. personally i would try finding aanother guy, but you could posssibly make it work. i work definitley tlak to your uncle and his fiance about it first though so things don't get too weir.

well it really depends on the bed you use since some are more powerful than others. but it would probably take like one or two weeks. i wouldn't do 20 min at a time because your skin can get really dry and the tan won't last... ask the people in the tanning salon what would work best for you. and if you want to get tanner faster you can put on tanning lotion which they sell in the tanning salon.

you could try www.pandora.com, it is a website where you type in the name of a song or artist you like and it gives you similar arists. you can listen to full songs for free to see if you like them... but if you like one write it down or something because you can't replay it.

I'm only a quarter Italian. I know that for sure. I'm also a bit Irish, Dutch, German, etc.
But Italians have that oily, olive colored skin, right? That's what I've heard.
My skin doesn't look olive, to ME anyways. And I hardly ever breakout. If I do, it's not TOO noticeable, but I do have occassional problems.
But when I start off my day, my skin doesn't feel oily. It usually looks almost chapped in some places. But throughout the day, that changes. I've actually had a few guys say that my skin looks oily-- once today.
But when I use a blotting sheet, it's not like the whole thing is soaked.
I just don't know what to do and I'm pretty annoyed. Pleae help! :[ (link)

just use the blotting sheet anyways, even if you can't see its removing some oil. you could try using a mineral power foundation to get rid of some of the shine. and use a gentle foaming cleanser for normal skin, that should also reduce oil. don't overdo it with cleaning products, because that can dry your skin out and cause breakouts.

yoga is more flexibility and mediation oriented, pilates uses more strength training but also flexibility. to get thinner and more toned, i would do a combined class like yogalates or pi-yo. those are offered at most gyms, like the ymca. but if i had to choose between the two, i would choose pilates because it has had good results with people i know.

doubt that will do anything. try doing leg lifts, lying on the ground, both legs up and once. if you want it to be harder add anke weights. also try doing scissor kicks but horizonally (i.e. one leg crosses over the other, switching over which one is on top each time) at the same time you are doing scissor kicks, try lifting up your core from the hips. you can also try belly dancing. there are a lot of instructional videos on that, and it works good

Im 18 and i lost my left arm in a freak accident when i was younger, Ive never been able to get over it. I have a prostetic arm but its no me, i lift weights and am very muscular. Lately i have been building my own prostetics. Mine arent the everyday fake hook hand, i started with building a wrist rocket arm. Then i stepped it up and now i have few other ones. Since i couldnt have a normal arm im deciding to look more into robotics and cybernetics if you hav any info on that? Is it possible to sell these inventions to someone?

i don't think you could really sell these to anyone since im assuming you don't have a degree in robotics or engineering. if i were you i would look into engineering as a career, maybe apply to some polytech schools as they offer those kind of degrees. with a degree in engineering you'll always have a job since the world is always in need of engineers. also people will become interested in your designs and you will be able to grow upon them. but i would apply to those colleges, like worcester polytech, RPI, RIT, etc. they would prob be impressed by your designs. you could also probably get a scholarship there if you shared your story, most of those schools are very genorous

ok so i got a new phone in september and i hate it. its too late to return it but it doesnt work sometimes. today i called my friend ten times and she never got them!!! the phone goes to the voicemail and all but it never goes to them. its not her phone because it happens to other people too. other times it doesnt let me end calls and i have to take the battery out. the phone flips up into a "T" kinda shape. anyway, i really want the new EN V (i have verizon) but i dont want to pay the whole price. how can i get a new phone in exchange for this one?!?!?!?!? my friend had the same problem with verizon, she had the venus and was able to switch to the en-v after telling the people at the verizon the problem. i believe this was after the 30 day rule or whatever, so just go in there and complain, bring a parent with you, and hopefully you can exchange it. also a lot of phone companys offer buying used or refurbished phones for a much lower price. you could by one of these, often they look like new. you could also buy a phone on ebay, those are usually pretty cheap, but then if it breaks the verizon store will not fix it for you...

i have Idiopathic Reactive Hypoglycemia. Most forms of hypoglycemia is caused by diabetes but IRH is just the blood sugar problems without the diabetes. I was just wondering if anyone on here has this also or knows anyone with it. How do you deal? Because right now it's the biggest annoyance in my life. There's rarely a day that i can go without being completely sick to my stomach. I'd love to be able to go a week without having this effect me but i dont know if that's possible. If you have hypoglycemia do you know any tricks or foods that help the nausea? (link)

also ginger caplets, pepto bismol, tigan and zantac are medicines that you can use. pramlintide is a new medication that is also supposed to help. i believe pramlintide, zantac, and tigan are all prescription medice though.
you can also try buying some fresh ginger root (this is actually found at most grocery stores). with this you can cut a small slice and put it into a hot tea. you can also drink this cold. ginger is proven to reduce nausea in general, including nausea due to hypglycemia
this is really drastic and possibly illegal in your state, but i also found that marijuana can help with nausea.
also i found this diet plan, i know you proabbly already have one but maybe this has different suggestions
If you feel weak and shaky like you are going to faint (hypoglycemic), eat protein like cheese or luncheon meat. This is different than the recommendations for a diabetic experiencing an insulin reaction who is instructed eat sugar-containing foods like orange juice. Sugar would temporarily bring your blood sugar up, but it would fall rapidly again within a short time.
Nausea with or after eating is not normal and should be addressed by your doctor and a dietitian. The amount of food you eat (one piece of fruit or half sandwich) is probably not sufficient to prevent or cause hypoglycemic symptoms between meals. Do you sporadically eat much larger meals at other times? Or binge eat? Or fast?
One 12 ounce can of soda (carbonated beverage) contains 9 tsp. of sugar or 45 gm of carbohydrate. How much soda do you drink a day or at one time?
Simple carbohydrates are sugars like those found in candy, soda and desserts as well as fruit (fructose) and milk (lactose). Complex carbohydrates are starches and fiber found in bread, cereal, rice, pasta and vegetables like potatoes, corn and peas.
Protein containing foods are meat, poultry, fish, cheese, lunchmeats and sausages. Milk contains protein as well as milk sugar (lactose).
The dietary treatment for hypoglycemia is slightly reduced carbohydrates (50% of calories), slightly increased protein (20% of calories) and six small meals per day. With a regular meal pattern, your hypoglycemic symptoms should lessen and you will probably feel better. This diet is very similar to a diabetic diet that does not include sweets or sugars. Two 4" pancakes or 2 frozen round waffles are allowed and can be exchanged for 2 starch breads for breakfast, but no syrup. Try fresh fruit (1/4 to 1/2 cup) on the pancakes or waffles instead.
