So there's this guy in my class who I really like. I started texting him since last saturday. I asked him a question if he would go out with me, and he said sure. BUT when i told him if he WILL go out with me, he said he likes someone else, and yeah i'm confused...

Guys often do that. I think sometimes, since they are communicating over text messages, they feel cool enough to tell you whatever. But once they are face to face or even on the phone, they will whimp out. It's like this with more than guys too, a lot of people feel "safe" with text messages. He's probbably just being a jerk. You can always ask him what the heck is his problem or just forget it. If you like him a lot a lot, maybe try asking him why he ddi what he did- on the other hand, if he is really close with the other person he likes, you may just want it forget it and move on because there is less of a chance then. I really like doing planks, or just going into push up position and holding it because I feel the muscles being worked in not only my abs but my arms and shoulders. Remember, give your body a break. Don't do like 1000 abs every day, your muscles won't have time to rebuild (or whatever it is considered they do). Hope this helped!!!

In order to get rid of fat you can't do specific workouts like, if you want to loose stomach fat you can't do crunches. You have to burn it off with cardio. So, if you eat healthy and do cardio maybe 4 times a week, or every other day with strenght workouts on the non cardio days, you should see results. But, if you eat like out every night or have a lot of sweets, don't expect any quick results. If you want to loose weight best and most efficently, eat healthy. Ah, get over the guy! He is obviously not great if he talks and talks to you then goes out with someone else. But, if I'm going to stick up for him.. he may have not ment to lead you on or get you to like him. So it can go either way. But really, he's not worth feeling like crap over. I know its hard but you have to try. I don't think anyone else in the world can give you a trick to geting over someone besides trying and hang out wth other guys/people and just do stuff to get your mind off of him. I hope this helped

Okay so I am confident in myself, but i am really bad at talking with people and i always feel stupid when im talking with someone. Like especially the past year i dont even want to talk to people other than my close friends and i dont know why cause i have never been like that!

Your not depressed, if you were you probably wouldn't even have the motivation to write a quetion and you'd feel like crying ever second or something. So you don't have to worry about it. You just started your problem.. your just bad at talking with people. So.. you most likely have little confidence with social interaction with others and just feel comfortable around friends. I don't think its a huge problem if you don't like talking a lot with people your not friends with cause it can be weird at times. But, at a point it might affect you for school or something where you're forced to be with other people. I would suggest hanging out with people your not familar with whileee your with close friends. So, if your friends talk to people then maybe you'll join in the conversation and get to talking to them. Hope this helped!!

hi katie =] okay so im 5'2 and 135. theres times when i feel that my body is huge but then other times when i'm happy with my body. i'm currently doing 100 sittups a day. 25 normal, 25 to the left, 25 to the righht, ad 25 with legs crossed. what are other ways of toning my stomach? also my thighs.. i was a softball catcher for about two months for my school and that helped me gain muscle in my thighs, but now that muscle is much less. how can i gain that muscle back? is it possible to loose 15-20 lbs by may? and how can i do that? thanks

You have to eat healthy and get regular activity. First, I am not 100% sure that ab workouts everyday is good, becasue your muscle needs rest to build up and get stronger/toned. So, for when you do strength or core, skip a day, try strength/core one day then cardio another. Plus, if you want abs, you first need to loose fat (not saying you have any just talking ingeneral) around your stomach so your abs can show. If you have a little pouch covering your abs, you won't ever get a six pack. If you want to loose weight, try running, bike riding, or doing cardio workout videos (i like all of them). There are always cardio things to do, whatever gets your heart rate up. I know that riding bikes is cardio and when I ride I feel a big burn in my legs, and I think that when you ride a bike it will bring back leg muscles, and make your legs toned, so bike riding is my FAVORITEEE exercise. Here is some healthy stuff that I like and told people before (it will help you get healthy and loose some extra lbs)..

anything whole wheat- breads, bagels, english muffins, cereal, wraps, buns, granola bars, oatmeal, etc. you'll have to start looking at ingredients and if it says, "whole wheat" first on the list then thats good.
personal favorites- crispix, wheaties, flat out wraps, any Kashi


fruits/veggies- self explanitory.. the more color the better (dark red, orange, yellow, purple, blue, dark greens)
personal favorites- all fruit, carrots, cucumber, spinich (easily can sneek into sandwhiches without tasting, romaine lettuce, tomatoes, peppers


lean meats/fish (good source of protein)- skinless boneless chicken breast, turkey breast, lean steak, fish
personal favorites- fresh salmon, tuna, grilled chicken, deli turkey, ground turkey burgers

If you don't have a flipflop, theres a 99% chance you won't make it. You can make freshman without a flipflop, but Jv you do need one. Freshman, for the tryout sheet, you don't need any tumbling. For Jv, it says should have standing and running tumbling on a matt. Sorry, you atleast need a flipflop to make JV

No, not a healthy way. You would pretty much have to starve yourself, work out all the time and you would just loose muscle. Your body would eat your muscles instead of fat. So, I don't think its a good idea at all. Sorry.

You won't be! Your 130 which is great for a 5'5 girl in sports. Muscle is great! the more you have the more fast your metabolism is. Who knows, maybe your still growing, if not then maybe you are putting on a little.. A LITTLE! No need to freak, maybe its just water weight. Your true weight is when you wake up in the morning, pee, and stand like naked on a scale. And i doubt you just woke up after a dr appointment? Right? If your truely concerned, look at the last few questions i answered. I pretty much gave all the good foods you can eat. About feeling big, everyone has insecurities. Your friends may be skinny, but think, can they lift as much as you? Can they run as fast? Do they eat crappy foods? Hahah. When im feeling down, I just think.. "well i eat healthy alot and they might be skinner but when their metabolism slows down they will be fat". I know its not completely true or anything but It makes me laugh inside and feel better hahah.



For a conclusion, I dont think you should worry about your weight becasue 130, all muscle, 5'5 is good! If you go to the doctor and see your weight creeping up by the 5's (5 lbs, 10 lbs, etc) then you can start to eat healtier and do more cardio to burn fat. When you get to that point that you decide for sure you want to loose weight, then I can help you. And its not a diet, its a healthy life! diets arent good for younger girls.. it tends to lead to disorders.. so consider yourself healthy.

i've always been like small & skinny. but now i feel like im getting fatter + kinda lazy. i've never needed to watch what i eat, i was always just naturally skinny & could pig out without getting fat. but now it seems like im not that active because all my sports are in the off season and i'm not doing much. i prbly should be eating healthier, but i'm not used to do that. i want to lose weight and i want to lose it on my thighs and stomach. what can i do to get my muscles back and lose the fat? thanks so much, haha ur the bestttt! I just used this for someone elses question and it related to healthy eating- i advise that this will get you back on track. also, you need to exercise atleast 3 times a week? if your sports are in off season dont think of this as a time to relax, you should be just taking your body easy, keep up exercising so you wont be out of shape, and get some "you" time in. To get back muscle you have to lift weights, not like 30 lb bench pressing, but 5 lb weights/8lb.. stuff to get indurence.

If you want to get stronger- High weights low reps (like on a machine, your highest level with reps of 8 then 6 then 4)

If you want to have endurence/toned- low weights hight reps (20 then 22 then 24 of a light weight you can handle, but should be hard at the last rep)


Plus, with more muscle you burn more calories!
You need to do cardio to burn calories, then end up burning fat, and lift/do weights/strenght for muscle!
