Question:
Get a new CD drive. They're really cheap.
You might try taking the drive apart and seeing if there is anything jamming it, but you'll probably break it.

Verify that all incoming connections are allowed in the firewall:

Find your router model number here (or the closest model number they have):

If PortForward has specific instructions for Blockland, use them. Otherwise, use the "default guide" to forward port 28000 TCP and UDP.

Install K-Lite Codec Pack Full:
http://www.codecguide.com/download_kl.htm
Read my answer here for configuration instructions:
http://www.advicenators.com/qview.php?q=554566
Alternatively, you could convert the MP3 file to WAV. You can do this with Zamzar or Media-Convert online. You can do it offline with MediaCoder or by giving LAME this simple command:
lame --decode yourfile.mp3
Ok so I figured the other stuff out...but What I still need to know is how I can use those songs from MP3 Panda...is there a way I can convert them to whatever they need to be for me to be able to use them for the movie maker. Thanks!

Question:
It is possible to put HTML into email, so Youtube embed codes can be used. You'll need to be in the "rich text" or "HTML" mode (the mode which allows formatting), and then figure out how to modify the source. Each mail client does this differently, and many don't even offer the option.
If the video is on Youtube, just use the embed code that Youtube gives you. If it's a video you own, upload it to DivShare and they'll give you a private embed code if your video is in a supported format (run it through Windows Movie Maker if it's not).
Many mail clients will not display embedded content, and some email providers will not allow you to send email with embedded stuff. You should at least include a regular link with the embedded video.
I've gotten emails in the past that have videos embedded at the bottom of the email. No matter what I search, I keep reading that this is supposedly impossible to do, and obviously they are wrong, because I've seen it with my own eyes. I've sat and watched videos play on my emails!
I want to embed a video from youtube. I can do it through gmail, in a fashion, but it seems to only work with gmail accounts.
Do you know how I do this? Do I have to have a certain type of program, or something?
If it helps, I use Windows XP. The emails I've gotten in the past came through my gmail account, which sends my mail to my Incredimail.
Thanks in advance. :-)

You need to examine (or have someone else examine) your motherboard specifications to determine what hard drive interface you require. The ones I linked won't work unless you motherboard supports SATA 3.0Gb/s. If you buy an OEM hard drive like those you'll also need to buy power and data cables separately.
If you need portability, just put a hard drive into an external enclosure like these (compatible with the drives I linked before):

Contact me by IM if you need any help.
I currently have about 28GB of photographs and need somewhere to store them. There will be more to come. They're saved onto CDs right now, but the whole thing is getting tedious what with CDs not holding very much. Would a 64GB flashdrive be a good investment? What else can you recommend? I'm hoping not to spend over a hundred dollars, but I'm willing to if necessary. I don't want to lose these pictures!!

Question:
If multiple computers are connected to the modem/router, it would not be immediately apparent which computer made the purchase (although they could tell that the purchase did come from that network).
However, if they were *really* interested, there are a number of ways they could find out. For example, the version of your browser (Internet Explorer 8.0, Firefox 3.5.3, etc.) and all of its plugins (Java 1.6.0_15-b03, Flash 11.5.1r601, etc.) will be available to them, and if only one of your computers has that specific combination of versions, it will be obvious who made the purchase. You shouldn't have to worry about this unless you're doing something very illegal, though. Ask me another question if you want details on these methods.
hey if you buy something online like access to a website (online membership) can they trace it to the computer it was purchased on from their computers without going through the actual computer or will it just go to the modem if you have a home network?

Question:
Open this file in Notepad:
C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
To the bottom of that file, add a line like this:
127.0.0.1 google.com
Replace google.com with the site you want to block. Do not include "http", "www", or anything after the com/org/net. There should be no /slashes/ in the address. Don't change the number. Don't remove the localhost entries that are already in the file.
After you've added the sites, save the file and run this command (WinKey+R):
ipconfig /flushdns
If you do not run that command, the sites will only be blocked after you reboot.
Spybot S&D's immunize function and SpywareBlaster will add a large number of dangerous sites to the HOSTS file for you.

Question:
**Mnemosyne is free, it's just difficult to find the correct download link. The link I provided will always point to version 1.2.1, which may not be the most current version in a few months.**
Mnemosyne is a flashcard program that shows cards according to an advanced algorithm. With it, you can memorize a large amount of information is a short period of time.
Download, install, and start Mnemosyne. Click the "add cards" button. Put a question in the top box and an answer in the bottom box. Click "0" and continue until you have added all of the information you want to memorize. There are also pre-made sets of cards on the Mnemosyne site.
After you have added all of the data to be memorized, the main Mnemosyne window will present you with one of the questions you created. Think of the answer and click "show answer". If you were correct, click a number between 2 and 5, depending on how much effort it took to remember it. If you were incorrect, choose 0 or 1, depending on how close you were.
Do this for as long as you want. If I'm trying to "cram", I will generally get the "Not memorized" count to zero and then "work ahead of schedule" a few times in intervals of a few hours. The person who asked that question could easily memorize her 17 symbols in just a few hours using Mnemosyne.
For best results, you should use Mnemosyne every day. It will ask you a few questions that it thinks you might have forgotten by now (not the entire set), and in this way you will never forget the data memorized with Mnemosyne.
This is the download link you should use for Mnemosyne (valid only for the next few months):
http://sourceforge.net/projects/mnemosyne-proj/files/mnemosyne/mnemosyne-1.2.1/mnemosyne-1.2.1-setup.exe/download
