well im going on vacation in 164 days.
and i weigh like 123 now.
i really wanna weigh like 100, or around there.
i just wanna know if thats possible in like that many days?
and what can i do to get there?
like would running help?
and if so like should i run like sprints because i heard thats better than running like 1 mile just like sprint a few yards then like jog then sprint and so on.
and like would running help me lose like the fat on my arms too?
& forget about sodas. even diet. sure they're low in calorie and all, but they're still not that great for you..
take a multi-vitamin.
work out for around 40 minutes a day. that can include running, swimming, walking, anything that involves full body movement.
running could help you lose fat on your arms, but i would try lifting weights too. maybe 5lbs to start off with.
and also. don't try and loose weight too fast. you might not necessarily be 'fat' if you weigh 123lbs. it really all depends on your height. get your BMI ratings here: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
^that will determine if you need to loose weight or not. but don't ALWAYS trust it. everyone's bone structure is different.
Depressed_Poet answered Tuesday January 30 2007, 3:40 pm: 1)Eating Healthier:
If you are between the age of 11-18 it is said that you should have 1700 calories a day. Of course, that 1700 calorie limit should consist of healthy foods. Replace soda with water. Replace cake or chips etc. with salad or fruit. Drink plenty of water about 6 glasses of water a day to wash out the unhealthy toxins in your body poisoning your health.
2)Running:
Everytime you run a mile you add 21 minutes to your life. Again, if you are between the ages of 11-18 you should walk on a treadmill for 30mins. a day. But before you do those things, do some warm-up exercises so you don't pull a muscle. That might not seem serious...but it is! It could hurt more than breaking a bone. And it will keep you from exercising more.
3)Motivation:
Motivation for your diet is simple if you can develop a streak of will power. When there's cake around avoid it. And remember, one day a week you can cheat your diet. It's only healthy but only have about 300 extra calories if you're going to cheat. If you feel this will make you want more, don't have a cheat day. Hope this helps, good luck! <3 [ Depressed_Poet's advice column | Ask Depressed_Poet A Question ]
LadyH answered Tuesday January 30 2007, 9:55 am: 164 days would give you about 5 & a half months, meaning you'd have to lose about 4 lbs a month. So yes, it's definitely possible, but is it a healthy weight for your height? If you want to lose weight, the obvious solutions are to change your intake of food. Cut out sodas & sugary foods & replace them with more veggies & protein. Be sure to get atleast 8 glasses of water a day - this will help clean out your system of any chemicals. Instead of having 3 meals a day, have 4-6 small meals to keep your metabolism going. Start off by exercising 3 times a week; for atleast 30 minutes. When you're comfortable with that, increase it to about 4-5 times a week for atleast an hour. Stick to any kind of cardio like running, jogging, jump roping, dance, or any sport that gets your heart rate up. If you want to lose fat targeted in your arms, get a set of weights: 5lbs each for lights & 10 lbs for heavy weights. If you're a more athletic & strong girl, start off at 10 lbs for light weights & 15 lbs for heavy weights. Since I cannot demonstrate some arm exercises, try searching for some on google. Not only is your health & excerise important, but many fail to realize that so is the amount of sleep you get. Aim for about 7-8 hours of sleep a night. The important thing is to be consistant. If you think you're the type who will slack off with your exercise habits, see if a friend wants to join you & support you along the way. Make it a routine & you'll see results in no time. :) [ LadyH's advice column | Ask LadyH A Question ]
