Here's the ultimate Hall of Shame entry:
I did some digging, I guess, and I was looking at the Moderator page, telling how many questions each Mod had rated, their column rating, when they joined, when they last updated, etc.
The statistics surprised me. So I decided I would see how many of these 190 moderators [180 L1, 6 L2, 1 L3, and 2 L4] are actually doing their job according to my standards. Of course, this isn't to be taken as if I believe that people aren't doing their best and trying. I understand people take breaks. I mean NO harm when I give these statistics, I am merely here to try to encourage us to do our jobs better! =]
I decided my criteria would be you had to have been updated in the last 30 days [which SHOULD be everyone], and have rated at least 50 questions, which shouldn't be too hard to do in 30 days [that's ABOUT 2 ratings per day]. So here were my findings, and again, this is merely to show us that we could improve:
6.1% L1s rated 50+ questions in last 30 days.
The last one is really the reason I am posting this. OUR JOB is to RATE questions. And when only 11 of the 181 are doing it, that isn't good. We NEED to help DN and RATE RATE RATE questions. As far as I'm concerned you shouldn't be a moderator unless you're going to do your job. I can understand if your internet is down or if you're on vacation or if you just need a break. But I bet 90% of the people just left and don't even care anymore. Is that what a moderator should do? Please people, let's do our jobs!
