Popularity issues

Question Posted Sunday November 25 2007, 5:11 am

How can someone go from being very popular to totally unpopular, to the point where people don't talk about them anymore ? What do you have to do to become very unpopular?

Well being "popular" when it comes to high school just means you are a prep and hang out with all the kids that party, are considered "fashionable and pretty, and whose parents have money. Or you have sex with a lot of guys so I guess that would make you "popular" with the guys lol... Bad joke :) Anyways... Do either of those definitions seem cool to you? Good, because they shouldn't. Point is... Who Cares If You Are POPULAR! It doesnt matter at all. Will it make you money, get you a job, further your education and future? No... So being popular does not matter and should not matter.

Now that that is over with, onto the answer to your question. To become as you would say "unpopular" you might have made one or two friends mad, so they started telling their friends and so on and so on. So eventually everyone came up with bad ideas about you and stopped talking to you. That is what rumors do. And another idea for thought... Most popular people DO NOT have real friends, because real friends do not manipulate, spread rumors, and back stab friends. So take this opportunity to find out who you really are, find good real friends, and focus on more important things in life than popularity.

Hope I helped and best of luck!

who cares if your "popular". like seriously? nobody really cares about how much money your daddy makes.

and by becoming 'unpopular' you probably did something wrong, or people got sick of you.

Well sometimes people think they have to like a person because they're popular, but soon figure out that if no one like them then why bother pretending to like them.

OR...

You might be popular because of your looks, but then you might not have a very likable personality and people eventually stop talking to you because they realise although you're really pretty you're not someone who they like much.

It could be because of a lot of different reasons.

Well, it depends what you think is popular. Its just a group, and its approachable. Well, i have gone from completely unpopular, to popular, to in the middle. Its not really about having "what it takes" it just is who your friends with. Like say your friends are "popular" then you are. If you drift away from some poeople, then your "unpopular". I am sorry if this advice doesnt help, but the situation varies. Like you can drift, get in a fight, be a b*tch, or a backstabber or anything. So, this is hard to answer. I hope this helps, sorry if this doesnt.

They do osomething shameful, that people dont want to be associated with them because of it.
example: someone started doing drugs and drinking- and they were on of the most popular people, but because of their actions, people do not want to be around that person.

i am not saying that you should start drinking or doing drugs to become less popular, but if you stop talking to some people, then you wont be as popular
