Okay I am seriously about to go crazy! I posted a question about my moms b/f being a jerk before so this kind of continous sort of. But My moms b/f is name dale and he has a 13 yr old son. well his son and friend went to this club for 13-20 yr olds and i felt like sleeping in the basement tonight. I wake up at 2am and find these 2 chicks sleeping in my room! He let his son bring in 2 girls from the club! im about to go nuts cuz i dunno what they are going through in my room! Dale is only doing this cuz he knows im pissed! im freaking 16 yrs old and i have no say about who can sleep in my own freaking room! Do you think im overreacting
You really do not have to be a neat freak to not want two nasty girls that you don't know sleeping in your bed. I would be extremely pissed. Talk to your mother about him, and telling her that you need some space.
And go and buy a lock for your room.
It's just wrong that your mom's boyfriend and his son make you feel the need to keep your door locked to the room in your own house. You really need to sit down and have a talk with your mom about this situation.

You have to get noticed. There are plenty of other good columnists on the site, besides you. Ratings aren't an excellante way to tell if your a good columnist or not, but you should just keep giving your advice and sooner or later people will start to notice you.
If you had put your name in this question it might have been a way to get noticed, and if you add people to your favorites then they will notice you more. And they might end up adding you to their favorites so people visiting their column will notice you.
And really, it's only been a few days...
If you wait around 1-2 months then you will be able to be a moderator with those ratings.

Yeah, some people suck. Don't listen to those kind of people, they are unhappy jerks and can only get a shred of happiness by putting people down.

this is a continuation to my question from earlier about the boyfriend doing the new things in bed.
well i asked him where they came from and he told me that we needed to try new things. alot of people told me he may or may not be cheating. like i said im just suspicious becuase we havent had sex in a while, and then all of a sudden we do and its all this crazy wild shit. i'm not saying that i didnt like it... its just strange. strange since we havnt done it in a while, and also cuz he didnt even like discuss these new techniques with me, he just went about them. and of course i went with them cuz they werent bad ideas and all. also, i am pregnant, so like my sex drive is always down, and his is always up. i read that this is very normal, like there is just something that turns guys on about thier woman being pregnant, and there is something that turns woman off about being pregnant, i guess cuz we get all fat. but yeah, because of my low sex drive, i kinda have been pushing him away. could there also be a possibility that he just gave me some space to wait for me to want to do it again? or maybe he got self consious, and was thinking he wasnt that good anymore and wanted to find some new techniques for us to do to make things better? i dont know, but i am like really beating myself up wondering where he got them from. what i really need is a guys oppinion. and if there may be any girls who have experienced this sort of situation that would be good too.
Ok, I read your earlier post, but didn't respond to it. I really don't think you have a whole lot to worry about. I have been in this situation, when my boyfriend first went to college. We had always talked online and he was researching Karma Sutra techniques....(and he watched a lot of porn and got ideas)
I was worried too when he came back the first time, but I talked it over with him and eventually learned to not think about him ever doing something with someone else. Just go with it and enjoy all the new things. Go and talk to him and ask him exactly where he got the idea's from.

If you have ratings in your 'View Feedback' page, and they aren't showing up on the main page of your column, then they will show up eventually. It takes a while for the page to refresh itself.
If there are no ratings under 'view feedback' then that means you have not been rated yet.

okay..i want to get a puppy but ive never had any animal before except a fish and i hated it so i let it die, anyways i have no idea how to take care of a puppy cuz i wanna get it when its little but i dont want it going to the bathroom all in the house but what do i do in the winter? but the real ? here is what type of dog should i get, i want a really cute one, i did want a little weiner dog but i dont know, i know that i want a really little dog but chiwawas are mean and yappers so what should i get? and also what would be some really cute names with that dog? i would get a girl one of whatever help! If you do decide to get a dog, then you have to realize that they take a whole lot of care. You can't just get a puppy and get rid of it when it grows up and isn't cute anymore, and hasn't been taught to be house trained.
When you get it home you are going to have to take it outside about every two hours to ensure that it learns that that is the place to go to the bathroom. If it does make a mistake and goes in the house, do not rub his nose in it, but show it to him and say no and maybe tap him on the nose a little. And then bring him outside immediately. When he goes to the bathroom outside, then praise him a lot and give him a treat. Do this ALL the time and he will learn pretty quickly.
A lot of small breed dogs are pretty mean little yappers, so you need to research the breed to decide if they're the right one for you. Don't get a dog JUST because it is cute, my roommate did that and got a very mean and stubborn breed. If she had researched the particular breed before hand then she never would have gotten her dog.
Getting a dog requires a lot of time and care. You can't just get annoyed with it and let it die, or you, or your parents could be fined, or jailed big time. Plus that would be pretty darn cruel. You deserve it to yourself to research the breeds that are known for good temperments and good trainability before you make your decision.

A very close friend of mine is showing all the sure-fire signs of pregnacy at 15 years of age. I want very much to tell her it's probably nothing to worry about, but I don't want to lead her on to thinking it's nothing when a baby is growing inside of her. She is very un-capable of conceving a child and I do not know what to doooo.

Is she wondering whether or not she's pregnant also? You do need to say something to her and have her take a test. Don't just say it's probably nothing to worry about, just tell her that you'll always be there for her in any way that you can no matter what happens. If she is pregnant, and she decides to keep it, you never know, it might help her to get more responsible. If you think it might risk her life to have a baby at such a young age, then she does have other options.
Just talk to her and be there for her. Gear her toward some counceling, or some adults that you can really trust and who will help her out more. But your first step is to get her to take a pregnancy test.

Well, my boyfriend and me had sex, and I read in this little book I have about the birth control I'm taking, and it says it takes a month for birth control to become effective. I really worried now. Is there a chance I could get pregnant? I mean, does it actually take a month, or do they mean, the first time you take it, it's effective?
No, it means exactly what was written in the book. Your doctor really should have explained this to you more.
Yes, you could be pregnant. Also, you might want to go get tested instead of waiting until your next period, because I have read that birth control can be bad for your baby. Use a condom at least until a month has gone by. It's still a good idea even after that because of the large amount of STD's out there now.

It's not necessarily the age of someone that determines whether or not they are in love. It's the way that they descibe it.... such as "I've been going out with him for a month, he treats me like crap, but I can't help it because I love him soooo much, and he loves me, even though he makes fun of me all the time."
maybe you are in love at 15. But it is going to be hard for the both of you if your parents don't approve, but I will say that I think your parents are extremely wrong and need to stop discriminating against the color of a person's skin.
Yes, I know your parents reacting badly towards someone you love can hurt a lot. My mother never liked my first love because she did not want him taking me away from her. But she came up with excuses about our relationship every chance she got. She certainly never hid the fact that she didn't like him from me, or even him and she put him down most chances that she got. I know it was only because I was her youngest and she didn't want me to go away from her and get hurt by a guy like she always got hurt... but she never quite realized that it was her that hurt me most of all by not trusting mine and his feelings.
I don't know if you will ever be able to get your parents to understand how much it hurts you that they feel that way towards him, but I wish you luck trying to get them to realize it.

(I'm 14) I've been going out with my bf for awhile, and I always knew that he USED to smoke pot, and stopped like 6 months ago,and sometimes drinks a lot because of family problems...Well about 3 weeks ago he left a voice message saying he wouldn't be able to call because he got grounded because he "got caught doing something...very bad" and wouldn't tell me what it was, well his parents disconnected his phone and I found out yesterday from his friend justin (i had to practically beat it out of him...because he was afraid i'd go off killing my bf or something...) that his parents caught him smoking (which explains why he cant run 2 miles anymore) and that he used to have a big stash of cigs in his room, but that he quit after his parents caught him...then he asked if i was gonna break up with him, i said "i have no idea" And i haven't talked to him because he's grounded, and as selfish as it is, it pisses me off..
I dunno what to do, should I break up with him or not? fuck that, you dad did not love your mom if he almost killed her. alcohal does not just suddenly turn you into an asshole killer, you have to be an asshole in the first place to have alcohal bring it out in you. And secondly, do you think your better than your boyfriend just because he smokes? Who are the people that decide who is messed up and who is part of the "good" crowd. Personally, I think it's wrong to judge someone by one or two mistakes that they have made.
You can't sit up on your little soap box for the rest of your life and put down all the so called "bad" people who care for you, but also happen to make a few mistakes.

I know what it's like to get chills when your around someone you have feelings for, and I don't think you should just hide your feelings forever.
I'm not a religious person, and I don't think it's right that your religion should make you feel like it's a sin to have feelings for another guy.
If you don't decide to be with your friend, then you will probably regret it for the rest of your life. There's no way you are going to be happy if you hide the person that you are, and you can't always just pick and choose who you fall in love with.

This may not be the right category, but I couldnt find a better place. I just found out today that one of my friends from school, that I graduated with passed away yesterday. His friends were going through his cell phone, found my number and called me. I had one class with the person, we always flirted with each other and talked about hooking up. I never called him after we graduated because I thought, yeah hes to good for me. Well, he still had my number in his phone and I feel bad for never calling him. I want to go to the viewing to see him one last time and to pay my respects to him. He was a great guy. But, then again, I dont want to go because I want to remember him from how he was before. I dont think I could handle seeing him in a casket. I dont know what to do. Should I go to the viewing or not? The viewing is Friday..so I need answers soon. Thanks!!
Don't feel guilty about not calling him since graduation, it will only make you feel worse about his death. He thought of you as a good friend if he kept your number in his phone all this time.
I would go to the viewing to say goodbye. I don't think it will leave you with a bad memory of him, you will always have the time you spent with him in high school to think about. This one last goodbye will not change that.
If you end up not going to it, then you will probably regret missing the chance, it will be a very emotional time, but well worth it. It will make you feel better inside.

I heard that if you eat 6 small meals a day, instead of 3 big its better for you. Any truth to this?
Yes, it's very true. Your stomach is only as large as your fist, so you only need to eat enough in one filling to fill your stomach. Any more than that is only going to make your stomach expand more. Also, eating more often will keep your matabolism up, without making it so you gain weight because they are smaller meals.

My husband and I are adopting a cat today from the Humane Society. The cat is 4 years old, and has not been declawed. I feel it would be inhumane to do declaw her, but I am worried about her scratching my furniture, and me as well. Does anyone have any alternitives to declawing, or how to prevent her from scratching the furniture.
And any other tips for a new cat owner would be appriciated.
Well, I'm the 14th person to answer, and I didn't check to see if everything that I'm going to say has been already said, but here goes.
Yes, it is pretty inhumane to get a cat declawed, I'm glad you feel that way. The humane society around here will absolutely not adopt a cat out if they know you are going to get it declawed. But to fix the scratching problem there are a couple things you can do.
First, just train the cat... despite popular belief, cats can be trainable. If you see her clawing the furniture, scold her by spraying her with a small water bottle, and have a scratching post that you can put her next to so that she will know "this is where I scratch, instead of the other place where I get water sprayed at me"
Another thing you could do is buy these sticky pads that go on your furniture. They are clear and will deter your cat away from putting her paws on it, or claws into it.
Something to make the scratching post more attractive to your cat is to put cat nip on it. Just rub it in and make it all smelly for her.
There are also things you can buy to put on her claws. Little rubber tips that will keep her from scratching. I've heard they're pretty hard to put on, but if they do happen to fall off, don't worry, she wont get hurt from swollowing one. I'm sorry I don't have the names of the sticky pads, or the rubber claw tips, but you could go to any cat specialty places, maybe there is a cat boarder around your house. I would also suggest a large store like petco or petsmart if there are no other alternatives. I don't enjoy suggesting them because I feel that they do not treat their animals right at all, so I don't like giving them business... but sometimes it's your only option. I do remember seeing a page online about how to put the claw tips on your cat, you could try searching on google for that when you find out what they're called.
