:.That point leads onto my philosophies in advice giving:
1. Advice is given when asked and no time else, unless your friend is about to irritate a black bear, then you should definitely advice your friend to back away and run for his or her life.
2. Advice is not critical, not judgmental, and definitely not biased. Advice is advice and should remain neutral.
3. Advice is to help, not to get 5s on every answer. As a result, my advice ends up being quite blunt and frank with a hint of rambling mixed in.

Iam a girl, and i am 12 years old. Ok, so there is a certain girl, my ex-friend. Lets just call her girl 1. Then there is my best friend. Lets call her girl 2. Me and girl 2 have been friends for 8 years, and now girl 1 is in the picture. I was friends with girl 1 at first, but then I found out the things she said about me behind my back. Here's the problem , though. Girl 2 is still one of girl 1's best friends!!! What can I do to change that, and still maintain my moral fiber?

Well, they're friends. Trying to break up a friendship just because you don't like the other girl is a pretty bitchy thing to do.

Just have girl 2 promise not to get swept into girl 1's "talks" about you anytime soon.

Ok, im 13 years old and female and i have this "boy" friend that likes me and i like him to but the problem is he doesnt no i like him back. i hate using friends to tell people i like them for me because they always make me look stupid and we cant pass notes because the teachers have eyes in the back of their heads. okay so, my boyfriend and I have known each other for a little over a year now. [since freshmen year, now we're sophmores] we've been together since last october & we're going on 3 months, but our relationship, before it was official, started to develop over a year ago. I truly love him. he's on one of the sweetest guys I'll ever encounter in my life. We're both Christians, so we're saving our virginity for marriage. I was told to remove my makeup with certain cleaners/removers

Then wash my face with hot/warm water

And cleanse it with some cream OR pads.

That.. is really not helping me.

What's your routine?

First, I don't wear too much make up. Just eyeliner and mascara on some occasions. Use products that are specialties in the face part. Neutrogena or Clean and Clear are the best. Neutrogena has wipes/washers for make up removing.

Wash your face twice a day. If your skin is getting really peeling and dry, use a pad to scrub that excess skin off. But don't do this too frequenstly or harshly. I use a toner after I wash my face so the moisture is still ther (Neutrogena Toner [Alcohol Free]) with a cotton pad. Oh yea, for water temp, don't use too much cold water. Make it luke warm but not warm or hot.

Haha, anywhos, your advice column doesn't have to be pretty and attractive in order for you to give good advice.

First, for your picture, copy it and paste it onto the Paint Document (Press start-->All Programs--> Accessories) From there make the picture really small. Not too small. About 3x3 Max. And if it's loaded with like black and white, negative effects and stuff like that, take it all off because that's probably why the file size gets too big.

For the paragraph, leave out all html codes other than: and and it should work. Make sure not to make it too long because this is for advice...not displaying yourself.

Yes, you should be worried about his current girlfriend. Key word: girlfriend. He's taken right now and if you try to steal him from a girl who's his girlfriend...not good.

So just lay low until they break up. Then, treat him differently form how you act around other guys. If you hug them, hug this guy and link arms with him. Just take it a step above, you know what I mean?

But becareful because guys are sometimes blind to flirts brough on by girls. And also you could ruin a great friendship by flirting with him when he doesn't want anything more than a friendship with you.

I am capable of putting eyeliner on the top and the bottom, but what i'm struggling most with is how do you put pencil black eyeliner on the inside of the eyes (the tear ducts, i think)?
Whenever I try to get eyeliner on the inside, it is easily smearing and sometimes goes inside my eye! how do you prevent this? and is there a better explanation of this?

Try putting some sort of power there. Put some eye shadow (light color that matches your skin color) put some on there and try. It should work but I'm not a hundred percent sure.

There are these really mean girls in my first people. I just started a new school last Wednesday and they were spitting stuff at me and calling me ugly and stuff. [btw i know i'm not ugly]. Anyways, they were being super nasty to me and I just kind of ignored it.
Another girl came in the next day, but she wasn't new, she was just absent the day before. I made friends with her and she told me they were being like that because I was sitting by a girl they hated, Tori. So, the next day I sit away from Tori and they are okay with me.
But now, it seems like they are planning something, or something like that. I was passing notes with the new friend [who's friends with them], and they asked her "is she scared of us?" and stuff and my new friend said "no, she just doesnt want yall treating her badly."
now, they wrote a note to me saying OHH YOU ARE SO AWESOME stuff like that.
so now i'm really scared, because my new "friend" wants me to hang out with her, but i'm afraid they are gonig to do something because they seem SOO fake.

Don't hang out with them. Make up an excuse and if they start to be nasty again, just go STRAIGHT to the counslor or the principle and tell them everything they have been doing (add in a few tears...haha it works) and them they have nothing to go against you because you did nothing, right? haha, good luck and just stay away from these girls because they sound like trouble

I'm mature for my age. Not boasting or whatever, it's just a wellknown fact for people who know me well. Well, I'm not talking about a relationship until marriage or whatever, but nothing between me and a boy ever lasts. I went to a Christian school for my whole life up until this year, so all the guys were to nerdy and weird to ask ANYONE out, so that kind of ruined it for me. I'm in 8th grade now and I go to a public school and a super big church. Guys always ask me for my number and stuff and we talk, but it never sticks. Mostly it's guys 15 and up, but, that's what I like because boys my age are grossly immature and little.
And, usually it's not my personality that makes it not stick, sometimes it's my age. When I was ten I'd have 15 year olds ask me out, then when they found out I was 10 they ignored me.
So, my question is, how can I make stuff last longer and how can I make people forget about my age?

Well, age seems to linger on boy's midns when they're dating a younger girl. I know that when my bff was going out with a girl that was a year younger than him, me and my friends made it hell for him for about a week XD

Anyways, just show them that you're mature. From the beginning. Then when they figure out your age and still wants to be with you, great. If they don't, screw it. If they're going to judge you on your age, they're not worth it.

i just started a new school wednesday. it's really great and i made a lot of new friends and i'm actually getting pretty popular there.
well, there is this guy [lets say his name is] jimmy. kay so jimmy hands a note to my friend lynn telling her to give it to me. so we pass in the hallway and she gives it to me saying "it's from a boy. hehe." so i'm like "okay?"
so, i open it and it says "hey, i'm jimmy. you are really cute, i'm the tall guy with brown curly hair."
well, jimmy is pretty good looking and really popular, but all my friends say that he always goes for the new girls and always has to have a girlfriend. so that was a turn off.
AND on top of that, he hasn't talked to me at ALL. and all my friends have talked to him and he's like "yeah i really really like her, i wanna ask her out" and stuff like that.

Well, if you haven't talked to the guy, you can't go on what your friends say and judge him right than and there. He does, however, seem attracted only because you're new and pretty.

So what I'd suggest is, hang out with him before you actually agree to be his gf...jsut to make sure you know who you're going to be dealing with.

Just ask him casually if he wants to hang out with you and your friends one night and blah blah and see if you like him or not and make your decision on that.

Well I think I like this guy I met about a week ago, last friday. Hes friends with my BFF, thats how I met him. And I had fun with him at the mall/movies when we first met. Then Saturday me and my BFF hung out again and we called him and just talked to him. Later that day he called us back on my cell and him and I talked for awhile about making my BFF go to Jack in the Box so me, my bff, him and his friends could hang out. She didn't go. So I had my dad drive me to a school that was by his house and him, his friends and i hung out for awhile. It's my 17th birthday coming up on 20th Jan, and i'm not sure what to do to "celebrate" it. Last year I had a limo party but that was because it was my "sweet sixteen", and i've had house parties, cinema parties and bowling parties before in the past, so i've kinda run out of ideas.
My friends say I should just go cinema again but there's nothing really on that I want to see.
And my boyfriend says that he'll take me out somewhere but he wants me to choose where and again I have no idea.

My dad has always been the same. He's always happy one minute and angry the next. Ever since I can remember he's "spanked" me as hard as he could. He's always argued with my mom. He's always treated me unfairly. Always blamed things on me. When I was about 10 or 11, my parents got divorced. It didn't really affect me all that much. I was actually kind of happy. I mean, I thought my parents arguing would stop. I thought all those times were my dad would yell at my mom and push her up against the wall would stop. Of course I was wrong. It's been almost 6 years now, since they first got a divorce and my dad's remarried and my mom has a pretty steady boyfriend. My dad's always working. When he's not working his regular shift, he's working over time. One thing that always seemed to bug me about him is the way he always yells at me...but not just that he does it. Its that no matter how much its not my fault and how much it's my brother's fault, he always blames it on me. He favors my brother. The other night my dad came over to pick me up and take me to his house because it was his weekend to take me and my brother. I got packed and went out in the car and put my stuff in the trunk. My dad was going to let my brother go to the skate park and I was angry because when ever I ask to do anything he always tells me no. And I was telling him how I felt about that. He told me not to talk to him like that and I was afraid he was going to slap me or something like that so I got out of the car and told him I wasn't coming to his house and got my clothes out of the trunk and went back in to my house. At that point, he wasn't even trying to get me to come to his house, he didn't care. My mom told him to come in and talk to me so he did. I told him how he made me feel and he still didn't even try to convince me to go to his house. I told him to get out of my house but he wouldn't. My mom told me to go to my room and settle down. I heard my mom talking to my brother and so I thought he was gone, so I came out. My dad was still there. The next thing I know, my dad tells me this is all my arugment is all my fault and he has my mom up against the wall held by her sweatshirt. He finally leaves and my mom has a bruise on her neck...so she finally decides she should call the cops because it's not the first time it's happened. Now my dad might get arrested. I don't know how I should react to that. I feel like crap. It's all my fault. My brother's going to hate me. So is my stepmother. I'm afraid of what's going to happen to me if my dad gets locked in jail and how he'll react when he gets out. Over all, I'm just scared. Scared of everything that might happen. I have no clue what to do.

It's not your fault. Your dad got himself in this situation and if someone tries to blame you for the consequences he brought upon himself, they're just stupid. You were jsut expressing your feelings and your dad couldn't handle the fact.

Your stepmother---if she doesn't understand, tell her that if you'd rather have someone who will hurt her in the future out of jail hurting others, then she has some serious thinking to do. As for you brother, tell him that if he gets mad at you for "making" this happen, ask him if he enjoys seeing your mom getting hurt because of your dad.

It's NOT your fault at all. You should go to www.safeyouth.org and talk to someone on there. Talk to your mom that you're afraid that your stepmom, brother, and dad are going to blame you for everything and are going to get mad and you are just overall afraid of what will happen between you and your dad now.
