My best friends parents just told her that they are getting a divorce. I don't know what to say to her. I basically said "I am soooo sorry" and "this should be happening to you" I also toldh er tha ti am always there for her she can call me anytime, it doesn't matter if its 12 midnight, and she can come over whenever, she doesn't hav eto call or nothin' i don't know what else to say. Sounds like you did as any good friend would do. Offered to be there and listen. That's the best thing you can do.

ok so my periods started today, agh what a pain. but im supposed to go to a theme park tonight and i LOVE rollercoasters and going upside down and stuff. if i wear a pad (cant wear tampons for some medical reason) would i like leak going upside down or something? haha idk really i was just wondnering if itd be stupid or something

If the liking is real strong, I advise you make as friendly a breakup as possible with the girl you are now dating. If you have a bad breakup the girl you like may get upset too.
Wait a reasonable amount of time before asking the other girl out. Try and stay friends with them but don't ask her out the day after or anything. Wait a couple of weeks at least. :)

i am with this guy and we have been seriously disucssing marriage. we both want to get married to each other and we want that badly. more than anything else. we are about to move in together shortly, but my question is, if we are planning it and things, but he hasnt actually ASKED me "Will you marry me" and all that shit. so are we considered engaged or what? i am a bit confused. he wants to wait to actually ask me until he can buy the perfect ring and all that cutesy stuff. but until then are we considered engaged or not...i know its stupid but i cant figure it out. i will rate all answers that i get, i promise! i got mi period last month and this is my second month and it started up again last night and there is a lot i mean ALOT of blood from my period it seems to be uncontrolable is that normal!? ( and when i woke up in my pad the blood was all over the place)! sorry this is kinda gross

You are okay. Some people have heavy periods all the time. Hopefully you will only get them now and then. :)

okay well i think i have those little worms im not sure what there called i think like pinworms or inch worms or something. I know i have them though because i saw them. They are really uncomfortable!!! Ahh its like hell. I havent told anyone yet cause its kinda embarrasing. My question is this...is it like a serious thing? should i tell someone right away? or is there something i can do to make them go away? also they only seem to bother me in the night, is that usual? well thanks for any help! Pinworms infections can be asymptomatic or result in mild gastrointestinal upsets. A common symptom associated with pinworm infections is perianal itching. Scratching of the perianal skin to relieve the itching can lead to bacterial infections that result in more itching, etc. This cycle can result in a situation where the infected person becomes very uncomfortable. It is normal.
Your period is all about shedding the lining of your uterus. Sometimes you get what looks like clots but, its perfectly normal. :)

really long story but i need all the help i can get!
well my X-friend, sarah, has a popular friend.
well they just became friends.
heres the story:
sarah and i made plans wedensday to do something thursday, she cancelled plans saying she was tiared and wanted to rest so i can come over tomorrow and she can by hyper.
so i said okay.. shure. tomorrows fine! but my sister is going up to look at colleges and so i need to know.. around 1045 or 11? and she said OKAY
and so we had plans and i was waiting for her to get online around 11 am because thats when shes always online.. so i said to myself "oaky she must be still sleeping"
"mom im not going to look at colleges with you and melissa, sarah can probally pick me up, worse comes to worse i wont get there." they said okay and left.
s0o i waited around untill 9oclock at NIGHT waiting for her to sign on, i called her moms house multipal times (said to call her dads house), her dads (no answer)and her cell phone millions of times. with no answer.
so then she finallu signed on about 10 o clock at night.. and
i said "WHERE WERE YOU!!!"
and she said "Katies house with tori, whats up?"
and i said "dude, we had PLANS today!"
she said: "no we didnt....."
i felt her tention of freaking out because she knows we did
she said: "it wasnt offical plans!"

Here's the way I see it.
Tori WAS concerned enough to ask what was going on with your family.
Katie...A loser. Why hang out or be friends with someone who is going to threaten you?
Sarah is going to learn the hard way that shes not popular either. She is just to naive to realize that shes being used by Katie.
Sarah is no different than you are. If Katie thinks you are a poser etc. Believe me she thinks the same of Sarah. She is just using her for some reason. Most likely because Katie worships the ground she walks on.
So, Tori seems OK.
Sarah will be again if she ever gets a clue.
Katie= trouble maker...Beware of her. :)

ok well i really like this guy and he wants me to go over his house and i want to (hes been to my house before and lets say me n him kissed **a few times**)but everytime he hangs out with a girl something happens weather its just a kiss or sex. and i wouldnt have a problem with this but after i found out that he only likes me as a friend and that he likes my cousin things changed...a few weeks ago before i found out that he didnt like me or before i found out that he liked my cousin he told me he wanted to finger me and i said ok but now that he likes my cousin should i go over his house when i no something is gonna happen? If you don't think you can resist temptation then I will have to say don't go to his house.
Girls need to know a guy really cares before having sex with them (most of us anyway).
Boys, a lot of them anyway, don't seem to need those feelings first. I think he might just use you to get to your cousin.
Find you a guy who really cares about YOU before you get all involved like that. :)

Okay, wasn't sure if this should go under health or injuries or what, so I just chose injuries. Anyway, I woke up this morning and the left side of my jaw was killing me. I think I may have fallen asleep with my mouth clenched tight or just maybe slept on it wrong. But usually when my braces bother me I keep my mouth clenched (I think that's the word for it) so that's most likely the cause. My dad looked at it and said that it wasn't too serious and just to either keep something cold on it, or to take a shower because the steam or heat or something would help.
Just wondering if either of those might soothe the pain, or if you guys/girls had any other ideas. I know none of you are doctors, I just wanted to know if you guys/girls knew of anything that will make my jaw hurt less. I would take pills like advil or something, but I could barely get my mouth open enough to eat breakfast this morning (toast) rather than swallowing pills, mainly because I have a pill phobia and would need a lot of water and stuff to be able to take them.
So any pain relievers for my jaw that don't have to do with swallowing pills would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know of anything liquid you might take for the pain. Aspirin is always good.
More than likely you clenched or you teeth in your sleep. It is pretty common.
You could also be cutting a molar or wisdom tooth it it is back there where your upper and lower jaw connect.
If it continues, you might want to have your orthodontist check it out for you. :)

I'm 5'7" and I used to weigh 120 and then around 3 months ago i started losing weight but the past 2 weeks I've been losing alot more weight than usual. I mean I eat just as much as I used to and i still get the same amount of excersise but I weigh 99 pounds now and i need help. How do I gain any weight? (link)

If you are not dieting and have a sudden weight loss like that you need to see your doctor.
If your routine hasn't changed then something else has. :)

My sister is 11 and in 6th grade. She weighs like 89 pounds. She is about 4 11. She cares about her weight a lot. She thinks shes fat but I've seen her friends and they say she nots and her stomach isnt that big at all. She is also muscular. Like she is a fast runner and she is strong. First of all, i'm not asking this to be told to go to the doctor. I just need advice from people who might now what this is. Anyways, during the summer i had like a racing heart beat for two months and i felt weak but really nervous. I would fall asleep and then jump all of a sudden after like five minutes. It eventually went away, and last night it started all over. I could tell the symptoms. I felt really bad in the morning. Everybody thought i was sick and my heart beat was abnormally fast again. It eventually calmed down but i now it's still there. It's actually getting worse as i'm typing this. Does ANYBODY know what this could be or what could happen as a result to this???? My parents wont let me go to the doctor and i dont think the school nurse can help me. I have no medicine to take or anything. Please help me y'all!!! (Sorry its so long but i need help...) (link)

It could be so many things I wouldn't even want to venture a guess. I do know one thing for certain. If your heart does anything out of the ordinary...get thee to a doctor ASAP.
Even if it takes the school nurse to tell your parents to take you.

No birth control will claim 100% effectiveness. 99% is pretty good though.
Your probably okay. You just have to be careful of STDs because birth control pills don't do anything to prevent those ( which I'm sure you know). :)
