There is this guy that i like but i dont know if he likes me. We talk like evryday for at least like two hours. We are either talking on the phone, texting, or talkin on MSN. But he is always asking me if i like him. But these past like two days i have been trying to talk to him but he wont pick up his phone or text me back or e-mail me back. What is going on? Does he like me or is he just mad at me for the moment? What should i do? (link)

ok so im in 8th grade 14/f, and i need to write a paragraph (8-10 sentences) on a treasured memory. This is kind of a gay question but I really can't think of what to write about. I like soccer, field hockey, love the Flyers, and stuff. I rate high for good ideas!! =]~ (link)

I think a treasured memory would be more along the lines of an event in your life that you will always remember.
A special day with one of your parents or grandparents.
Mine would be having a really nice visit with my granny ( who had been very sick). She lives a state away from me and I had a really nice visit with her and she was really happy and feeling good & everything. A week or so later she died. But I will always treasure that last visit because it was so nice.
Something like that. :)

Okay I'm working towards a healthier lifestyle for myself ( less junk food, more exercising ) and so far its working out great! However I'm having the worst time giving up soda. I love love love coke and I drink like 2 or 3 cans a day! I know this is really bad for me but how do I stop? I can't just STOP drinking them, and I've tried drinking less and less each day but its not working out so great. Any ideas?

I have a problem with the old coca cola myself!
And the diet kind is....eww.
Since I have had to switch or go cold turkey, I have found that the C2 coke is the best substitute with less calories. Next is the coke Zero. It isn't bad.
Of course none of it is "good for you". But whats a girl to do. *sipping' some zero" :)

okay, so theres this guy i love, and then theres these two girls who hes really good friends with. one of them is like super ugly, and i know he wouldnt never actually be attracted to her like that, so there really isnt anything to worry about with her but then the other one is kinda prettier then me. and he would be attracted to her. but its not like a self esteem issue,because im happy with the way i look and plus, he really isnt like that, you just have to be somewhat pretty. ya know? ok so anyways so this weekend he never called me, so i was like wtcrap, then he got on aim, and we talked for like 10 minutes and he was like i got to go, sharon needs my help with some stuff. i was like ..oh okay. so then today i decided to go to starbucks, and he was like there with sharon, and they were both like heyyy wats up, and we were talking. i guess you could say it was okay, me and him were like talking and so was she. and then i was like i got to go, and i told him to get on aim later. and he was like i dont know if i can, and i was like why and he was like well sharon was going to show me some video games..lol i know stupid right? i mean come on. so i was likeee ummm whatever thats gay. and he was like whatever games are cool. like yea i know hes 16 ..thats a little childish. but thats what i love about him, he isnt afraid to still act like a kid, and then he knows when to like not act like a kid and be serious. so whatever anyways. so i was like okay..have fun then. and i just left.then on myspace, he has never left me a comment, but we send messages like..alottttt. and im his number one. but shes his number 2, and today i was looking at hers, and he like left her comments, sayin how many good times theyve had. and it kinda made me upset that he had the nerve to leave her one but not me... but heres the main problem hes always hanging out with her, i know their just friends, but thats how we started, we were just friends at first then we got really close cause we spent alot of time together. now its like hes chosing her over me, and i have no idea why. like its wierd hes always telling me how much he loves me, and how he wouldnt know what he would do without me. and know im just starting to think if its just fake. like an act. or just plain leading me on...but i dont know anymore. i love the kid to death, im just afraid that hes going to like dump me for her..and i dont know what i would do if he did, and i really have no idea how to bring it up without having a fight over it. i just really dont know anymore...soo please help. oh and also i hardly ever talk to her, so it would be hard to go up to her and talk to her about him and stuff. but yeaa ill rate you guys, just help..thanks (link)

I'm older than him by a long shot and I love to play video games. Sharon evidently does too.
I don't think he is necessarily looking to dump you, it just seems from what you've written that he actually has more in common with her.
If you want to keep hold of him you may have to take up gaming and get into some of the same things he likes. It won't make you lose maturity to do so. You may actually enjoy it. He talks to her because she is fun to be with. :)

I went to the doctor last week for my headaches. They're extremely bad and have been going on for a few months. I get them every day from within the first hour I wake up till I go to sleep. I usually take motrin or advil but that doesn't always help. I've also throw up a couple times and I wake up in the middle of the night from my headaches. I'm having a CAT Scan on tuesday because of it. But I'm just wondering what could be the cause of my headaches. Please respond. Thanks so much in advance. (link)

I'm not poking fun at you, its just that headaches can be caused by a million things. MOST are nothing major you need to worry about.
The main reason a doctor will do a CAT scan is to rule out what it ISN'T. If it turns out normal, and it probably will, it could still be a million things. The doctor just knows it isn't anything major.
Almost everything can cause a headache. Including sleeping to much or not enough. Allergies, some medicines actually give you a headache, sometimes if you stop taking something for a headache (aspirin or Tylenol, that will give you a headache.
So try not to worry about it to much. Having a CAT scan doesn't mean the doctor thinks there is something major wrong with you. :)

Every night I walk for about one hour which equals to about 3.67 miles and I burn about 560 calories.
Well I'm pretty tired of walking because it just bores me so what other exercises would be about the same? Meaning burn a lot of calories as much as walking does. I don't have any time to go out and buy thing or lift weight, so anything else?

I'm breaking up with my boyfriend. This is seriously going to be so hard for me to do because I completely adore this boy, but I can't see our relationship going anywhere because now I realize I can only see him as a friend. I don't think your friends will think any less of you if you tell them the story. If they do, then hey, they aren't such good friends after all.
Tell them he has a substance abuse problem (whatever it may be), and that he has been trying to get help. That's all they need to know for now.
Do not be embarrassed. It is not you who has the problem. The problem is your dads. You might look and see if there is an alateen organization in your area. They can be very helpful. You meet other kids who are going through the same things you are.

okay well you see.. me and this kid // we'll call him louis =] okay well me and louis went out in the summer and i liked him just not as much as you usually should like someone when your going out with them.. but everything was fine untill me and his cousin got into a fight and to make a long story short i called my brother to pick me up .. i told him the story.. he flipped out on "louis's" sister and now we arent allowed to hang out and in any means go out probably ever again.. but me and him really like eachother and i actually like him a lot this time but the only thing that is holding us back from going out is the family situation. i know its not the best thing to do and i dont want a leture on not lying but we were just thinking of not telling our parents but what could i say to him to like make him relize its okay and then for us to be together? ill rate high =] by the way 14/f (link)

Seems to me the fight was with the cousin and sister. Your brother probably should have stayed out of it. Of course I don't know the situation.
Anyway, I think you should get your parents to see that you and him were not fighting with each other. You aren't dating the cousin or sister, and your brother doesn't have to have anything to do with any of them again.
Sneaking around really just isn't a good idea. Think the parents are upset now just let them find out that little piece of news! You will be grounded from seeing him forever and you will lose their trust in you. Those are pretty big consequences.

My boyfriend and I have only been official for about a week. We're both seniors but we haven't talked about prom yet (I had a date but it's not going to work out). We'll, he also already had a date lined up and I'm not sure if they're still going together. I know the girl he was/is planning to go with and she hasn't said anything about them not going so I'm not sure. She's not really a friend of mine or anything, I just know her from class but we still talk sometimes.
Well anyway, I was planning on asking him about but I'm not sure what I should say to him if he says that they still have their plans. I don't want to be a bitch and tell him that he has to break the plans because that would be really mean to her. But, you're supposed to go to prom with your boyfriend! What would y'all do? (link)

Ask him. Just ask what his plans for prom are. Tell him you understand if he had a prior commitment but your plans fell through. Just tell him you need to know so you aren't assuming things one way or the other. :)

Okay I am 17 years old and I am dating a 19 year old guy who graduated from my school last year. We met over the summer and have had a great relationship for 8 months. We broke up because I was "controlling" him and "changing" his lifestyle. We talked it out and he wanted to be able to talk to his best friend (who is his ex g/f, and had recently tried to fight me.. is that normal for him to talk to her? should I be jealous?) and he didn't want to go to my Junior Prom, and he didn't want to party anymore. Those were the terms. I agreed. (of course, I am in love) Well now that prom is getting closer I wanted him to go, so I asked him and he just says "he doesn't want to." Should I be okay with that? I mean I even offered to pay for everything. He is my b/f, shouldn't he just go with me?

It seems to me that YOU are the one doing all the compromising here. What is he doing for you?
Prom is pretty important to most girls so I don't think it is really right for him not to go with you. I think you should go (if you want to) with or without him.
In all honesty, if he doesn't do a little changing for you, I would consider looking elsewhere for a guy who will. He seems to be asking for a break up.
If the ex is his "best friend", I don't suppose there is a lot you can do about him talking to her, so long as that is where it ends. Being jealous is natural. :)

Ok, heres my question. Around October, I found the blog of an Australian girl on the Internet. She'd kept the blog for about a year before I read it. I started noting it and we added each other on MSN. Now we're pretty good email friends, strange as it sounds, I always seem to have tons to talk about to her. We never set out to email, it just started out kind of accidentally.
Anyway, she recently found out that a friend of her fathers is opening a chain of coffee shops and has offered to send her over here (England) to work there. She's always wanted to travel and is really thrilled by this. Anyway, she's going to be in a town about 2 hrs on the train from where I live and obviously she suggested meeting up. Well I have absolutely no reason to doubt she's genuine (ie. not a dangerous rapist) except for the fact she's an Internet friend. I've swapped photos with her and read her friends blog, and I'm planning to speak to her on the phone before we meet up, and it'll definately be somewhere crowded in the middle of town. I'm not telling my parents about her, although I'll tell my friends. My question just is - are there any other precautions I should take to be 100% safe? I'd really really appreciate a detailed answer,

I think it would be nice for you to meet. I do think you should tell your parents though. You aren't doing anything wrong so I don't know why it would be a problem. Explain how you met, maybe even show them her blog if it is decent.
It sounds as if you have a good idea on how to be safe about it. That is great. You could always take a friend along when you visit. At least let them know what time you are meeting, what time you will return etc. Make sure someone knows where you are at all times. Use a cell phone if you have one. Check in. Encourage your long distant friend to do the same!
If I were you, I would write your question up and send it to the inbox of Dangerwench. She met Dangernerd online and she may just be able to give you some first hand advice about meeting people online safely.

my mum is 46 and she gets really bad bruises on her fingers after simple tasks like carrying the shopping.
She will carry a few bags of shopping home in plastic carrier bags and then she will complain about her fingers swelling up, being painful or developing bruises.
I'Ve asked her if she thinks its serious and she says its probably nothing and I'm just worried it could be some disease or something...?

Some people do just bruise easily. However, since it isn't real common I think she should have it checked out by a doctor. Knowing for sure it is nothing sure makes a person feel better! :)

While i have never been for abortion, i find my self in an aknward situation. My friend thinks that she is pregnant. but she doesnt know for sure. she doesnt live close enough to a hospital to go and she cant buy a home preganancy test. I think that she is just feeling gulity because she had sex with her boyfriend and the stress i giving her these symptoms. But we have no way of knowing for sure. She says that if she is she will find the quickest way to have an abortion. I dont know what to do. (link)

You know, if she thinks she can afford an abortion a home pregnancy test should be a breeze!
Could the possible father to be afford the test? That is one option. How long has she been without her period? If it been 30 days go for the test, if not, I would wait it out. You are right about the stress possibly causing her not to have her period.
If you have strong feelings about abortion, then of course you can't encourage that. You can lend support though.
A lot of this talk is probably fear more than anything else. She needs to tell her mom. I've been there and the thought of it was much scarier than the outcome was. Never underestimate moms ability to surprise a girl!
So, encourage her to calm down. Get a pregnancy test. You might see if there is a health department in your county. There are in most and they may give her a test for free. If her period is more than 30 days late, encourage her to talk to her mom. :)
