A very worried sister
My brother is 2 years and he has the flu! I am giving him medicine with my mom from a dripper like thing and he spits it out. How can I get him to drink it...

This is going to sound very barbaric, but me and my sister would have to fight my niece for her to take her medicine(when she had ear infections, colds,etc.)Hold his nose, and he'll be forced to swallow it.You only have to do this once.Then next time you have this problem all you'll have to do is mention the holding of the nose, and he'll take it........Hope I helped,~<3Potential.

well me and my mom had the same problem with my sister but we mixed a cretain amount n with her juice and she never knew the difference but my brother just like acting like it was some type of train or something so try to play with him to get him to drink it or just mix it in!

try using bribe! it may sound lame but tell him that if he eats the medicine you will give him a quarter, or a cookie or something. if he doesn't understand what you are saying just hold up the bribery and hold out the medicine... it always works for me!

Use an oral syringe,(can buy at the pharmacy) have your Mom squirt the medicine in his mouth & hold his nose closed for a few seconds. Most kids will swallow when you plug their nose.
Another option is to mix the medicine with a little apple sauce or pudding and give it to him on a spoon.

What my mom used to do with my brother when she had to give him medicine was she would just mix it with what ever he drank. He barely noticed the difference.

the easiest way to give him the medicine so that he gets all of it would be to put it in his drink so then he doesnt know that he is taking his medicine and if it comes to it you could try to convince him that it will do something for him so that he sint sick anymore.

im not sure if that makes the medicine less powerfull but you can give it a go.
another way is to tell him that if he's a good boy and takes his medicine he will get a reward like a new toy (also take his mind off the flu) or get him a coloring in book or something,

If your meaning a thing like an eye dropper...tilt his head back and squirt it as far back in his throat as you can.
He'll cough but he will get most of it down. :)

did he go see a doctor?? the doctors could definately help because since he's 2 he doesn't know that he's suppose to drink it & what not. i'd call/go see your family doctor about it.
