Answer: You can't. If a guy really likes you, no matter how nice you are to him, he will be upset.

However, you can find a way to soften the blow and make it a little easier. Try to avoid cliches like "it's not you, it's me" because no matter how many times you say that to someone, it always WILL be them. Try to explain it that you care a lot about him and that's why you need to end it now and that it wouldn't be fair to string him along. You're sorry you had to do this but you hope he will still be your friend.

there's no such thing as a nice break-up. it depends on the guy. you can try telling him that you're not ready to be in a relationship at the moment. and dont forget to bring up the fact that he's the only guy in your heart and he'd be the guy you'd come back to when you're ready for one.

I hate to tell you this, but there really no good way to dump a guy without hurting their feelings, unless they never liked you then they just don't care. There are ways to make it a little better though. Like, don't do it over the phone or something like that. Do it to his face, that way he won't think that you are avoiding him. Then, don't just say it and walk off. Explain yourself. Give him a good reason why and don't be to harsh. Don't do the "it isn't you, it's me" thing, they see right past that crap. You have to be sweet and understanding, and if he runs of or yells, don't run after him or yell back. Just let him do his thing. Also ask if you can stay friends. That way you guys are still friends and you don't have to go through the whole avoiding him deal. I hope that I helped and remember that my inbox is always open. You don't have to rate, but it would be nice. Thanks.

Well. There is no special way to do it because if hes going to get hurt hes going to get hurt, no matter how you do it, just the general fact of breaking up is going to hurt. Then again he may take it easy and not even care all that much, every guy is different. I would say be honest, but if you dont want to hurt him then tell him that things just arent working out and you think that you guys would be better as really close friends. Reassure him its nothing he did and its just a decision you feel comfortable with making. At all costs though make sure he doesnt blame himself, that would set him off in the right track =D

you can say:
(name) right now you just arent what im lookin 4 okay
i dont think our relationship seems to be going in the right direction and if u have 2 explain why
do the old fashioned..its over
**breaking up with anyone isnt easy and its gonna hurt if the person really cares. it only depends on how you do it (being mean or not) that really hurts or makes the person mad..do you get what im saying? if you do it really mean then theyll get mad but if u do it in a not so harsh way like i dont think our relationship seems to be going in the right direction, then they know you dont mean any harm and then suggest still being friends with each other or say no hard feelings? to make the other person see that your not so bad after all..it all depends on tactics

you can just tell him that "things arent working out right now." or another good way to put it is just to say "im really busy and now isnt the right time for me to have a boyfriend." hope everything works out.
