i met this girl on the first day of kindergarten and i'm in 8th grade right now and we have been best friends since then. over the summer, her dad died and since then she has been hanging out with all these other people but not me. it's not that i'm jealous but i still want to be good friends with her. i am not looking forward to an answer saying "move on cuz she's not a good friend" i'm just still upset about the fact that she just like stopped being my best friend overnight. is there any way to get her to like me more so she'll want to hang out with me more other than talking to her? because she's not the type to sit and listen to what i wanna hear. i'll rate high. I know you don't want to talk to her about it but its the only way.
It doesn't have to be a long talk. Ask her if you did anything to offend her. Tell her you miss hanging out with her, ask if there is anything you can do to change that. :)

Its probably just such a drastic change that it will look strange to you the first couple of days. I'm sure it looks great to anyone else.
If nothing else, get a really cool hat and cover it up until you can stand to look at it. Or, go to your search engine and punch in 'short hair styles' and find one that you'd like to try.

ok, I am a 14 girl and there is a 14 year-old guy tht i have liked for some while now and he has known I liked him for a few weeks. My friend was talking to him on AIM and she told me he said he was debating weather or not to dump his girlfriend. She asked why and he said because he likes another girl, but my friend couldn't find out who because he said the girl was one of her friends (maybe me?). This may seem a bit mean... but i totally want them to break up. My other friend sayd that if it got to him that I was starting to get over him, then he would think that he better dump his girfriend quick before I'm totally over him. but then i also heard that if I did tht then he might just stop liking me... so my question is, should I let it get back to him tht im gettin over him, or should I just leave it?

How come whenever I run, I get a cramp like on my side.. usually on my right side.. I know they're not menstrual cramps, because they feel way different.. but idk, I've had them for a while, and I think it's a common problem among people.. but does ANYBODY know what they're caused by? And how to prevent them? I also get them when I walk alot sometimes.. but especially when I run on bumpy ground, at softball for example. Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks! Ok well the last time i saw him was in january and its now April! ive not seen him so long now he went to hospital and i asked him what hospital he was in and he would not tell me so i guessed and i sent him a get well soon card because he said do not come and visit me then he said hes transfered to another hospital for surgery so i said what hospital i will come and visit you he never told me and it was obvious he never wanted me to see his family like his mum and dad. I had not seen him for a year before i saw him in january but i realised i like him alot in fact i actually thought id fallen for him but since he told me in a text hes ok i thought it was best to leave him alone so ive done so, and ive heard nothing from him not even hello!! It frustrates me that he never contacts me he sits on msn but set to away and im just waiting and waiting for him to say something to me. I mean when i saw him he told me he loves me but if you love someone you usually contact them. Also when i phoned him when he was in hospital as i cared about him he was pretty rude he said don't you think its abit late to be calling me? it was about 10.30 so what im wondering is what shall i do? leave him alone like im doing but not hearing even hello? I hate to sound harsh but when someone doesn't call you or contact you its because they don't want to.
I know you have feelings for the guy and its awful he doesn't feel the same. But that's the truth of it. Move on to someone who cares. :)

Msn messenger does have a feature where you can save conversations. To make sure it is disables do this.
Open messenger
Go to "tools"
Go to "options"
On the left side go to "messages"
Go to "message history"
Make sure nothing is check marked

Ok... I'm in desprate need of some advice. I was involved in an abusive relationship ( i ended it last year in January) I have since then graduated from high school. When i was in high school I had a little crush on my spanish teacher (i was 18 he was 24), never thought much of it, but i was up at my old school the other day and i saw him again and feelings resurfaced. We talked for a while and he asked me out. This is the first relationship i have even considered entering since ending my abusive one...and i'm not sure if i'm doing the right thing ... please don't say that " i'll know when I'm ready" because thats all i've heard latley ... and it doesn't help...because i'm so confused about the entire thing that i don't know anything anymore.

I don't see any reason why you can't go out and see how you feel about it. Take it slow.
He is no longer your teacher, the age difference isn't that bad. He is mature enough to understand why you'd want to take it slow too.
You are needing to get back into having a dating life. No matter who you choose it is going to be scary for you. Even if you know the person is okay and not an abusive person. Take the first step.

I had a question on here about a week ago. I had been raped and I wanted to be tighter again so I could feel like i was a virgin. Most people suggested I do kegels. I did kegels. The weird part is I think I got myself to tight? is that possible?

Im mid twenties, and ocassionally have pains in my chest expecially when i take a deep breath. If I bend to my left I can feel a popping in my chest and i would have to straighten myself and then it goes away. When i lay in bed at night, and lay on my left side, a sharp pain goes through my chest. What could be wrong with me. (link)

Whatever it is I would suggest you have it looked at by a doctor.
Have you fallen or been hit in the ribs recently?
Its posible one of them is broken. They really don't tape them up or anything anymore, but you want to make sure a lung doesn't get punctured. :)

Sometimes depression is a normal reaction to difficult situations. It isn't always permanent
and teens have it often but not constantly.
If you have a lot of things happening in your life right now that cause you stress, you're going to have some depression.
So hang in there and hopefully it will go away on its own. If it doesn't in a few weeks, then you may need to get some help for it. :)

Okay, my name is Saylor I am soon to be thirteen in July and I'm starting to have boy trouble. Okay I know a bunch of boys that like me and I can have anyone of them that I want I know this because they have all asked me out... except for one that I am really crushing on. Okay here is how it goes... Okay tonight was the big baseball game against Owsley County and Lee County. (two counties that are enemies) Me... being from Owsley. Okay the boy I like plays baseball for Owsley. I was watching the game and my bff Whitley came over there and told me to come in the dugout. Well this boy (Nate) was sittin out cause he sprang his hand. I sat with him the whole time I think he was flirting with me but Im really not sure. He sat with me on the bus on the way home and everything. He was tickling me and laying down against me trying to go to sleep and I really like him. He is way sweet. It really sounds like he likes you already.
Anytime a guy that age is talking to you and sitting with you on the bus...its a pretty sure thing.
The best thing to do now is get to know him better. Talk to him every chance you get. Smile at him a lot and just let him know you are interested and like the attention he is giving you.
Hopefully, before you know it, you two will be an item! :)

You need to tell this story to your mom.
If it did die it could turn into a medical emergency. If that happens you don't want them to be trying to figure out what is wrong with you. :)

You need to tell him. He isn't being much of a friend if he is hitting on you. That's just rotten.
Just tell your boyfriend that while you don't want to cause a problem but, you don't like ____'s behavior and you'd really like it if he told him to stop it.
Then hopefully he puts an end to it. :)

Last week I was trying really hard to become a level two, I rated 1000+ questions and I thought if I kept up I would maybe I'd get it.
I was banned over a year ago because I put music on my column and you don't get banned for that...but the level two made a mistake and banned me anyway. I was also banned last week for posting personal comments in people's inbox and your not supposed to do this because their not real questions.
I was so sad, not only did I miss 5 days of rating questions...I found out I have to wait another 6 weeks to become a level one moderator. All the questions that I rated are now useless.
So in 6 weeks, I'll have to try again. And start all over but because I was banned twice...do you think I'll ever have a chance of being a level two or should I give up?

Never give up!
If you want to be a L2 you have to keep up with the site news. Things have a way of changing pretty fast around here these days.
Know the rules, answer questions the best you can. Don't answer those you haven't a clue about...those kinds of things will be a lot more important than the amount of questions you rate
or if you've been banned.
Being banned is never a good thing, but you haven't been banned for anything major. The music ban would be overlooked I would imagine.
The chatting thing is a pretty big deal at the moment. The server is being overwhelmed and the unnecessary chatter doesnt help that.
I have been doing banning on the chatting on columns. I think I probably was the one who banned you. I didn't realize it was you until after the fact. I saw the comments in the discussion forum after it was done and felt really bad about it. I do apologize...being a level 2 does have its downside. :(
I don't want you to give up though. You keep doing what you're doing and keep up on the site news. No more chatting! :)
Rate the questions fairly. If you are ever in doubt about something you can drop me an email anytime. Put advicenators in the subject line so I know it isn't junk. I will check and make sure my address is on my column.

My niece is a High School graduate who dropped out of college in her freshman year. Although, she is not a "genius" she is probably an average student. She says she quit school since she was "bored". Since then, she has gotten 3 different jobs (sales clerk or receptionist) and has been fired from all 3. She keeps blaming the company. But, I think it is her attitude or something she is doing. Should I tell my sister that her daughter needs to go back to college? Should I tell her that instead of blaming the company, that perhaps it is something that my niece is doing (or not doing) that is causing her to be fired? I think my sister is in denial over her daughter.
For example here is an edited version of an email I got about my niece's latest firing (names have been changed):
Susan called me to tell me that the boss of her new job- fired her. It doesn't make much sense what he told her- he said that she doesn't meet their exception for growth in their firm. That they are expanding and she doesn't fit with that plan. Didn't they know they were expanding before they hired her? Why waste their time and
hers?
Susan said she didn't have much to do- the
phones weren't busy and they told her that they would give her other stuff to do. So- I don't know what went on. Its nuts.
Oh well, I think she was bored anyway since there wasn't much to do. Everything happens for a reason and there is something better for her
elsewhere.

Sounds as though in a subtle way she may be asking your opinion. I think she may have her own doubts about her daughters story of the firing.
I think if you do it in a way that doesn't sound mean it is perfectly alright for you to give your opinion.
Your sister is right though. They wouldn't waste their time training someone just to turn around and fire them. She isn't doing something right. She either doesn't have the proper skills...either for office work or dealing with customers in the proper manner.
I think I'd say something. :)

Ok here's the deal-
There's this guy that i really really like and we've been talking online wuite a bit but we never really talk that much in school. We get along so good and we have a lot in common. He's a senior and I'ma freshman this year. Seniors get out of school in the middle of May. My question is, should i try to pursue a relationship with him if he is leaving highscool in my and going off to college in Spetember? He is only going to be at college about an hour or less away.
