Not to be gross or anything, but I only poop every couple days and my friend said that was unhealthy. she really freaked out when I told her that when I am trips and stuff I will hold it for 5-7 days.

She says that is why I always feel wore out all the time.

So how many times a day should you poop?

Ideally, you should be aiming for once or twice a day. It isn't very healthy if you're only going once or twice a week and your friend is right, constipation and bloating can cause you to feel lethargic, although it's likely that this is also down to what you're eating.

You need to ensure you're getting a balanced diet, including foods which are high in fibre such as potatoes, pulses, cereals and wholemeal varieties breads, pastas and rice. Fibre is what keeps your digestive system going so it's really important that you have the right amount in your diet.

I suggest you visit a doctor to make sure there aren't any more serious problems. He or she may also be able to refer you to a nutritionist.

You can put all your existing music on and you can transfer music from CD's as well. You don't HAVE to buy music from iTunes.

I have a really habbit of pulling my hair out
from the top and apparently im starting to get bold patches and my hair is getting really thin im tryng to stop i am but my question is will it grow back im really scared i doesnt =/?

I had this problem when I was little, as did my auntie. In her case, it was so bad she had to get all her hair cut off. Luckily for me, that horror story stopped me before it got that far.

It will grow back, but you need to find a way to stop doing it. One method is to try and distract yourself with something else, like twiddling your thumbs or snapping an elastic band against your wrist.

When I was trying to stop biting my nails, I used to file them so far down that there was nothing to bite. Once I'd broken the habit, I started growing them because I was no longer tempted to bite them. Perhaps you could try something similar with your hair? Tying your hair up or wear a hat or a headband could work as you won't be able to get at your hair properly. If it works, once you've stopped doing it you can start wearing it down again and growing it properly.

Heres some background: I have been on birth control for the past 3 years. I just recently got off of it (in July) because my parents are afraid of the negative side effects. I had my period in August (starting on the 15th) and in September (starting on the 12th). I had an irregular period before taking birth control, which is why i initially got on it. My boyfriend and I had sex on october 4th with a condom, but he took it off towards the end without telling me (he pulled out). I am ten days late for my period. Ive already taken 3 pregnancy tests and all of them have been negative.

I am in my 3rd year of college and have been taking adderall lately. I dont know if maybe the adderall is having an effect on my period. Also, I didnt eat for two days straight because I was so stressed about exams. So im not sure if its my nutrition or stress thats making it take so long to come. I know that im not pregnant (according to ept digital pregnancy test taken yesterday and the day before), but has anybody else run into this problem? Do you know what the cause could be? Or is there any way I can induce my period? Any input would help!

Thanks for the help!

Try and relax, three negative pregnancy tests is a pretty sure sign that you're not pregnant. However, it is worrying that your boyfriend took the condom off without telling you. If I were you I would have a serious talk with him about that, because if he were to do that again, you might not be so lucky.

Bad nutrition and stress are both common factors for a late period. The fact that you had an irregular period before should also be considered. The best thing to do is to visit your doctor. They will be able to give you proper medical advice and make sure there's nothing wrong. They may also do another pregnancy test just to be on the safe side.

Okay, I am 16 yrs of age, male, and im about 5'9. I'm very concern because most of my friends are taller than me and I am started to worry that i have stopped growing. The question I am trying to get at is am I going to grow anymore, how can I increase my height, should I stop eating junk food? Also my father is about 6'3.

Males stop growing a few years after girls, so you've still got a while to go yet.

At 16, you still have a little wriggle room. As your father is tall, it's not completely unlikely that you'll gain a few inches. I have several male friends that went from being average to pretty tall around your age. The fact that your father is tall is another good sign, so don't give up hope just yet.

I do sympathise entirely. I'm 18 and only 5'0". I was blessed with short parents so I'm unlikely to get much taller. Unfortunately for both of us, aside from learning to walk in heels, there isn't anything you can do to increase your height. For now you just need to wait it out. Even if you don't turn out to be a giant, remember it's not the end of the world.

At the looks of it I am gonna have to go to work pretty quickly after the baby is born. So this will be my first attemp at breat feeding how to do breat feed an work??

Unless you plan on bringing your baby to work with you, will need to express your milk. This means extracting milk from your breasts to put into bottles which can be fed to your baby when you aren't there. You can do this by hand or with a special pump.

You will find a good article about expressing milk here:

thanks for your help in http://www.advicenators.com/qview.php?q=572192

i hope it's okay if i ask some more lol

so there are 2 types of alcohol?

distilled (spirits) vs. fermented (beer and wine)?
beer and wine are not hard alcohol? are they "soft"?
spirits are the same thing as liquors? and are hard alcohol?

beer is from malt/yeast/barley/rice grains? and wine is from grapes?

and for hard liquor/spirits are vodka, gin, and rum from different sources too? i think whiskey, tequila, brandy are also among those. i think rum is from molasses. not sure about the others. they are like the basic ingredients to drinks like cosmopolitan and mojito, for example? because you don't drink those by themselves? are those considered mixed drinks or something?

There are technically three classes of alcohol: beers, wines and spirits. However, these can be broken down into further categories. Liquors are a type of spirit and are generally thought of as 'hard alcohol'. Beers and wines aren't commonly referred to as 'soft', although I suppose technically they are.

Beer is most commonly made from barely malt although different ingredients are added depending on what type of beer it is. Grapes are the main ingredients in wine.

Vodka, Gin and Whiskey are distilled from starches, mostly commonly corn and grain. Rum is distilled from molasses, Tequila from the Agave plant and Brandy from wine.

Spirits are usually mixed with other others and fruit juices to make cocktails such as Mojito and Cosmopolitan, or even just with drinks such as coke, lemonade and orange juice. They are also often taken in the form of shots. Many people also drink them straight, although not everyone likes the strong taste.

Thanks for inboxing.

for some reason, i cannot watch rape scenes in movies. i always close my eyes, cover my ears, and turn away even at the ones that aren't very violent. it's completely and utterly disturbing to me. i can handle blood and gore and anything else pretty much but for some reason i just can't watch it, idk how anyone else can.

I think that's pretty normal, I find it really uncomfortable to watch scenes of extreme violence. Not many people like to see upsetting images and rape is particularly difficult because it is such an invasion.

what are spirits in relation to beer and wine and hard liquor, etc?

Spirits are alcoholic beverages which have been distilled rather than fermented, like beer and wine. 'Hard liquors' are spirits and include Vodka, Gin and Rum.

I was drinking last night and got really, really smashed. I know, I was being very stupid by drinking SO much. Anyway, I was at a party and I know this guy was really hitting on me and trying to get in my pants all night long. I was grinding on him some and we were making out. I'll admit that I remember him sliding his hand down my pants and fingered me for just like a few minutes, but I was really, really horny so I KNOW I totally let him do that to me because it feels good.
I'm a virgin though and I want to save myself for marriage and I kept telling him no to putting his penis in me but he kept trying to persuade me. Anyway, I ended up passing out sometime and woke up without most of my clothes on (I only had on my thong panties). It wouldn't have been a big deal but it was like someone had taken off my underwear and put them back on me? I can't be for sure.
Anyway, my loser friends weren't there to take care of me and now I'm worried that the guy succeeded and we did have sex. I called the loser "friends" and they told me crap about me screaming at them a lot to leave me alone with the guy. I know I didn't do that because I'm not that kind of person so they have to be making that up. They are probably too stupid to just tell me the truth that they don't care if I have sex or not. One of the loser friends told me that the last time she saw me I was with the guy and his pants were down and I was giving him head. I PROBABLY did do that because I usually give some really hott guy head at the parties I go to. This guy was WAY hott too. I don't remember that this time though.
Today I'm not bleeding or anything but I have before when I fingered myself and masturbated with things so I think I had already ripped my hymen out. How can I tell if I'm still a virgin? Do I need to see a doctor to find out? Is there actually a way? Should I find out the guy's name and take him to court because he totally took advantage of me last night?! I'm furious if he did have sex with me because I totally didn't say yes to that!

Firstly, I don't think there is any way of telling for sure if you are still a virgin. However, I strongly suggest you get an STD test AND a pregnancy test because if you did have sex, it's unlikely you used protection.

Secondly, how do you know you didn't say yes? You admit that you can't remember giving him head but are pretty sure that you did, so how can you be sure that you said no? I doubt you'd have much of a case in court, if it even went to court, because you can't even remember what happened. Although you say you would never say yes as you're saving yourself until marriage, people's morals tend to go out of the window when they've been drinking.

The same goes for your 'loser' friends. They're probably telling the truth. I suggest you sit them down and talk to them sensibly and calmly about what happened, you might get some answers.

The moral of this story is to stop drinking this much. It is incredibly dangerous as you have illustrated perfectly. You say 'I usually give some really hott guy head at the parties I go to'. Is that really the type of girl you want to be? A reputation like that is hard to shift, and I can almost guarantee that you won't want to be like that forever. You can't have alot of self respect if you go around granting random guys sexual favours, yet you say you're saving yourself for marriage? Just something to think about.

I know this isn't about sex but i didn't no what to put it under lol.

So I think Obama should have never became president
I think hi is an idiot.

So i want to know people who did vote for him why you did what were your reasons?
Cause if you think hes ganna pay for your bills and provide for you hes not.

I just wanna know everyones reason for why they voted for him or why you didn't vote for him.
Also a lot of people including me, Think he manly won cause he is black and i think if that is true witch i think it is i think thats wrong.
My resons are because I think racism is wrong and if people vote for him only because he's black just means your being racist. Now you might note be but your basing your decision on the color of his skin i and i think thats horriable.
I bet if he was a white man he would not of one or he wouldn't of one for the reasons he did.

PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THIS OVENSIVLY IM JUST SPREEDING MY OPINION ON WHAT I BELIEVIE AND I WANT TO KNOW WHAT PEOPLE BELIEVE OR THINK.

I didn't get to vote because I'm not an American citizen or over 18. Having said that, in the UK, the majority of people were rooting for Obama, including myself.

It baffles me as to why anyone would be complaining about free healthcare for all but perhaps that is because I live in the UK, where I've never HAD to pay for it.

I don't think he won just because he is black, although I doubt many people of ethnic minority voted for McCain. Having said that, the sad truth is that many of those people are relatively poor and therefore inevitably lean towards the Democrats. He was undeniably the most enigmatic and engaging of the two candidates, he is incredibly intelligent, he is portrayed as a kind family man and he is much younger than McCain. This teamed with the fact that people were sick of George Bush and wanted something new and different is why he won. Not because he is black.

im a teenage guy.
i masterbate alot, probably once a day. sometimes twice a day.

i dont know if i should stop, but after i masturbate, i feel great and i feel like nothing can distract me. and doing it before i sleep is good for me to fall asleep faster.

i dont know if its bad for me...i feel guilty when i do it. should i stop? and how?

please dont give me a simple answer like "focus on other things"

i want details. please help!

It's not bad for you, it's perfectly normal and healthy.

As long as it doesn't interfere with your day to day life then it's fine.

I was 12 when i had my first boyfriend and my first kiss, The first one was really bad cause I had know idea what i was doing like my tooth went in his mouth or something it was so bad cause we were at the movies with a group of people 3 girls two boy so my ex and the other guy playned it out on how he was ganna kiss me we were in the parking lot and the other guy was trying to get the two girls disstracted so he was like omg look and ofcourse i looked cause i didn't understand what was going on then my ex was like saying my name and was telling me to hurry and come here adn i new it was about to happen i was like wtf do i do and it was so bad ha
we never madeout cause i was new to all that stuff so i was wondering how your first makeout was?.... or kiss if you haven't madeout with anyone.

My first kiss was when I was 11, behind the football pitch in a park. We were friends and both wanted to see what it was like so we thought it'd be a good idea.

My first 'makeout' was in a cupboard when I was about 13. I'll leave it at that.

Okay I guess I'll just jump right in here...

I am a girl, first off. I am 19 years old, and ever since I was really, really young (age 3 or 4) people have ALWAYS commented on how much older I look then I really am.

When I was 15 I once had a police officer hit on me while I was on vacation with my family because I looked that much older. When he found out how old I was the officer was mortified and kept apologizing and left... (It was at the beach)

It didn't bother me because he wasn't mean but it bothers me that I seem to look so old. That is only ONE out of the thousands of situations that have happened like that to me for the last 16 years or so.

It's not because I wear make, or even how I wear makeup because I don't wear makeup often and when I do I use very little, I don't use eye shadows or anything; I normally only wear foundation with SPF because I have sensitive skin and don’t want sun damage, and MAYBE some mascara.

I am on the taller side, I'm 5'7" but that's not freakishly tall, there are tons of other girls that I know or have met that are like 5'10" and they don't have the same problem I do.

I am heavy weight wise and I try to wear clothes that complement my body type, by covering up more than most girls my age and also normally needing to wear older women’s clothes because I can't fit into the "teen" stuff, plus I like the classy look... But again, I know and have seen tons of other girls that wear the same "older women’s" clothes and don't have my problem.

Today really pushed me over the edge because when I finally thought that at the age of 19 I was starting to look my age and blend in with my peers I had my whole class (in college before my professor came in) tell me that I looked at LEAST 22!!!! I look at least 22?! So that was there nice way of saying, I look more like 30 at the age of 19?

I know I sound like I'm being over dramatic about this but I swear I'm not, and I'm not trying to sound like it's the end of the world, but honestly, if that was all you ever heard, it would get on your nerves too. I mean when I am 30 am I going to look like I'm 50? My feelings are just really hurt and I don't know what to do about this.

My class today said they thought I was older because of the clothes and the makeup I wore but I think it's only because I unintentionally noted that I was not happy to hear how old they thought I was, and I already explained the clothes and make up factors above...

So, can anyone please give me some serious advice about this, even someone that has maybe experienced the same thing? I would truly and greatly appreciate a different peace of mind about this hurtful fact.

I have the opposite problem. I have always been told I look a good few years younger than I am, which although I'm sure I'll appreciate when I'm older, right now when I WANT to look old isn't so good. I find that no matter what I wear or how I do my hair or make up, my height always betrays me. I've pretty much finished growing and I'm only 5'0".

It sounds like you're insecure about your appearance anyway, regardless of whether or not you look 'old'. You mentioned your weight. Just cutting junk food out of your diet or walking rather than driving/taking the bus can dramatically change your weight/shape. This may improve your confidence and give you more options in terms of clothing.

If you prefer classier clothes rather than the convential 'teen' look then that's fine. If you don't feel comfortable in other things then don't wear them. However, if you do decide to lose a little weight, you'll have an excuse to get yourself some new outfits. Try looking in some shops you wouldn't usually shop in, you might be surprised at what you find. Not all 'younger' outfits are trashy and revealing. Additionally, try adding some accessories to your outfits. A well-placed belt, hair accessory or piece of jewellery can instantly update an outfit and make it seem younger and more exciting.

Adding some highlights or getting a new fringe etc can also dramatically change how old someone looks. You might like to go to a good hairdresser and talk to them about the best haircuts/colours for you.

Even if you don't feel that you look younger if you choose to do these things, they will almost definitely boost your confidence. No one is 100% happy with how they look and although it's incredibly difficult to do so, trying to accept and live with your perceived flaws is the best option.

why do ppl say not to room with a friend?

Sometimes it turns out that someone you thought was a really good friend is incredibly hard to live and spend so much time with. It can end up ruining your friendship. However, obviously this isn't always the case and it can be absolutely fine and lots of fun.

to be, TRULY in love with your current boyfriend when mixed and confused and unwanted feelings come to you from your long-ago ex?

i think it is. just because this happens, i cant control feelings. i love my boyfriend so much, but i am so confused about my ex and how i feel. but it's possible to still love my boyfriend while im figuring things out, right?

From personal experience, I don't think it's possible. I found that I very much cared about the new guy, but that I found it near impossible to be entirely fair on him. I was constantly comparing him to my ex and expecting them to be exactly the same. In the end, my constant demands and inability to accept the new boyfriend as an individual was the main reason we broke up.

Of course your situation is probably slightly different to mine. Having said that, if you still have feelings for your ex, I think you will find it incredibly difficult to truly give yourself to and be honest with your current boyfriend.

It can take a very long time to get over someone. It's not uncommon to get into a new relationship before you realise you're not as over your ex as you thought. If you can't work out your feelings, I think it would be a good idea to have a break from your boyfriend in order to figure out how you feel. However, you need to be careful and think about how highly you value your current boyfriend before you do this. He probably won't take too kindly to being rejected out of the blue and may not want you back afterwards. Try and be as honest and kind as possible.

Alternatively, you can try and stay with your boyfriend while you figure out your feelings, although this can be very difficult and may not work. Try and be logical and objective with your feelings as well as honest with yourself. You're the only one who knows how you really feel.

Good luck.

What do Americans speak? I know that people from England speak English but I've always called what I spoke English. I'm in the United States though, not from England so I'm not English. Am I still considered to be English-speaking or is it referred to as something else? I'm confused

English is the most widely spoken language in the world. What you speak is classified as 'American English'. You'll find that it does differ slightly from the English I speak (in England) as we use different words and spellings, as well as saying some things differently. So yes, you are still considered to be English speaking, it is just a variation on 'original' English.

I was thinking of making homemade alfredo sauce the other day but I don't have a recipe for it. I was hoping that somebody here had a recipe that they could share with me...

I've never made a sauce before in my life either so I'm not looking for something too complicated to begin with. If your recipe is a not basic then please let me know so I am aware that it might take more effort and tries to get it right :) that's all.

There are plenty on Google:

60g butter
120ml double cream
6 tbsp freshly-grated Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp flour
salt and freshly-ground black pepper, to taste

Melt the butter in a pan and mix in the flour to form a basic roux. Add all the other ingredients and cook, stirring all the while until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens and becomes glossy (but do not allow to boil). Take off the heat and stir-in your favourite pasta or use as the topping for a pizza.

My friend told me that she is gay and I do not want to be friends with her anymore. It's not that I don't like her as a person but I cannot grasp the fact that she has become a lesbian. Just months ago she was dating men and now she is claiming homosexuality. I don't like it and the entire thing makes me uncomfortable. I'm trying to avoid her now more than ever since she has confessed her sexuality to me and I feel that I need to just tell her to her face why I no longer have interest in our friendship. How should I tell her? What should I say? I don't want to come off as cruel by saying, "You're a homosexual and that makes me too uncomfortable to continue a friendship with you," but at the same time I think it sounds most appropriate because it is the truth.

I know it isn't fair of me to not tell her why I have been avoiding contact with her. I know I should tell her but I'm not sure how I should go about this. I was thinking a neutral setting would be most appropriate but I don't want to embarrass her if she gets upset in some form.

Does anyone have experience with this or any ideas of how I should handle this matter? Thank you.

You don't want to sound cruel but the fact is, this is cruel.

It probably took your friend alot to come out to you and you are just rejecting her. What has changed? Just because she doesn't like men anymore doesn't mean she is a different person. Similarly, it doesn't mean she now has a crush on you, just like you don't have crushes on all your male friends.

Of course she is going to be upset and embarrassed at her friend telling her she doesn't want to see her anymore, it'd be ridiculous to expect otherwise.

You seriously need to rethink your attitude. How would you feel if it was the other way round? I suggest you put yourself in your friend's shoes for a moment. Imagine you made the brave step of telling her something as important as that, only to have her reject you for it?

It's normal to be surprised and have to readjust to something like this but you can't just cut off all ties. Perhaps you should try talking to your friend about it and try and understand how she feels. If you can gain a better understanding of the situation you may feel more comfortable.

If you can't see how selfish you're being, she doesn't deserve a friend like you.

EDIT:
You are entitled to your opinion, but saying that you now look like a lesbian yourself because you were close friends with her is a shallow and immature opinion. Do you look like you are sleeping with all your male friends?
