It will grow back, but you need to find a way to stop doing it. One method is to try and distract yourself with something else, like twiddling your thumbs or snapping an elastic band against your wrist.
When I was trying to stop biting my nails, I used to file them so far down that there was nothing to bite. Once I'd broken the habit, I started growing them because I was no longer tempted to bite them. Perhaps you could try something similar with your hair? Tying your hair up or wear a hat or a headband could work as you won't be able to get at your hair properly. If it works, once you've stopped doing it you can start wearing it down again and growing it properly. [ rainbowcherrie's advice column | Ask rainbowcherrie A Question ]
