Is it wrong to cry if your dog died and you've known her since you were a toddler? My friends would think it's silly, and when you think about it, it kind of is. Does anybody else think it's silly?

It's not silly you love that dog so much and by showing you care is probably by crying and lettin it out but u will eventually get over it but it's not stupid or silly to cry over someone or something you care about

It's never wrong to cry over a pet. If you have known them for a long time and they were part of your daily life, or you only knew them for a while, it's okay to cry.

This has happened to me before too. I had this dog for nine years and then died of bone cancer. I cried for about 4 days because i was so attached to that dog. So, no I dont think it is silly to cry. I didnt go to school one day because i cried so much. Just tell your friends about your problem and they will understand.

Yea, i mean you have kbnown the dog since you were a baby and no its not silly to cry. I mean if you were close with it and it was an inside dog and u played with him alot of caorse you are going to be sad, when anybody does its sad, and dogs are like human almost.. they are really smart and im sure if i had a dog for that long id be realy sad, ive had my dog for like 2 yrs now and if she died id be depressed for awhile becuase we always take her to the lake, and i always play with her and she keeps me company sometimes so dont think its silly!

There is nothing wrong with crying over your dog, especially if you've known it since you were a toddler! dogs are just like family, you grow up with them, you see them, you live with them, you play with them. It's not silly! I would cry if my dog dies! which i hope my or yours won't!

Of course it's NOT silly!!! If you've known her since you were a toddler, than your dog is like a sister to you. You know, part of the family. If your friends think that it's silly than they got somethin else coming to them because it's the same as losing a family member. So dont be ashamed to cry, ok? I hope you feel better about it.

I cried after i lost my dog Kirby and my 7 other dogs...i know alot..but they get too aggressive...so we have to get rid of them..don't worry we don't kill them! Hope i helped! No way! If my rabbit that Iv'e had since I was 6 died I would cry! A dog is like a friend or even a family member, especialy when you have known it for so long. I'm so sorry- you will get over it. However, don't cry in public places about it. Your friends oviously don't see how important your dog was to you- it is not them being horrible. Lots of sympathy, hope your dog goes to doggy heaven.

no i think its perfectly ok...if my dog ever died...i would be so upset for like weeks...im very attached to my dog...at times she could make me mad and i could say i hate her but really...i love my dog and that might sound silly but its the truth...so dont be afraid to cry its always good to get out your emotions...and if your friends were real friends they wouldnt think thats silly because something that gives you pain is not something they should laugh at....im sorry about the dog.... :`(

Yeah i admit it kind of is to cry over a pet. I was talking to my boyfriend about this i said if any of my 3 pets died i would be crying like a big baby. So its perfectly normal i think its just like a little bro or sis you have around. And you are just used to it being there and it gives you the love and attention. So its perfectly normal!! Of course not! Cry away. Your dog was your best friend, and don't you worry about your friends thinking it is silly. If they have pets, then they will go through the same thing. I have two guinea pigs, and when they die, I will cry myself a little river, so don't worry about being sad about your dog.

No, it is not wrong to cry over the death of a pet you loved.....they become a part of your family! I lost my dog last November due to heart disease, and I cried as though he was my child! Pets are friends to us, when no one else is there, or has time. They love us unconditionally, and carve a special place in our hearts. I think what you're feeling is normal.....
