16/f--I have this friend whos mormon. She's really nice & everything, but she's always trying to get me to go to church with her. But the thing is, I'm a proud Christian. I love learning about new religions, cultures, lifestyles, etc. But going to church with her is something I don't really want to do. Also, I've talked to my mom about it, and she doesn't want me to go either. Part of my not wanting to go, is that I've talked with a few people who have gone to church with her (also friends of ours) and they've said that they take down your name, address, number and sometimes take your picture. And thats not something I feel comfortable with. My church on the other hand, won't do that. They'll treat you like a guest and they tell you, you aren't obligated to do anything. But for some reason, everyone has said that the mormons try to talk you into some things. And I'm not disagreeing and bashing on the mormon religion, but its not something I want to be a part of and I've pretty much kept my feelings to myself rather than spreading them or whatever. But I don't know what to tell my friend when she invites me places anymore. Usually I'll say "I'm doing something" or 'I can't wake up that early'. And I feel bad. And now, my other best friend just became mormon...so I'm not sure what to do. And I don't know if my friend's mom would want her to come to church with me, since she's really overprotective (I was thinking mabe we would both experience other churches, but it might be a bad idea). Just simply tell her that you are happy with your religion and really don't want to go to her church. It is normal to want to know about other religions and even to visit other churches. But, if something makes you feel strange you just don't do it. No matter what it is. The internet is a great place and I'm sure you can find out about all kinds of religions on there. Enough to satisfy all your curiosity. You do need to make it clear that you don't want to go to church with her though, otherwise she will continue to ask. :)

he and his girlfriend broke up about two months ago almost
so now we hang out a lot because we're getting to be close friends, last week he asked if i wantd him to walk me to the door...this week he came over, we sortof snuggled/had heads on eachothers shoulders. then he gave me a huge hug, spun me around and gave me two kisses on my forehead at the end of the night.
two days later he IMed me and was like "i missed you today" ..is this just stuff a classy guy would do with a close friend....or is there something else there?? (link)

I think he may like you as more than a friend. He may just not be ready to move on it yet. I think he will soon though. If you want to know what he's thinking you could always ask. :)

If he's obsessed with her, you probably won't change his mind about her. Some people just have to learn the hard way. Just be there for him when she dumps him. And she will one day because she doesn't seem to have much respect for him to me. :)

hi there people really bother me in school, i dont have much friends and they all tease me. boys call me a mutt and a dog and disguting pig, im not fat though and im not reallly ugly. girls bark and moo at me and push me and im sick of it, i have 2 bestfriends but they dont stick up for me. if these people knew what i been through like, my dad died when i was 6 and my bothers friggen a crack head, ligit and my sisters a big whore who doesnt talk to the whole fam.. i dont have anyone and im sick of it, what should i do? They may be judging you by your siblings behaviour. It isn't right, but people tend to do that. Hopefully they will see that you are not like them.
Unfortunatley, there isn't much you can do to change their behavior. Don't let them see that they are getting to you or they will just do it more. It would be nice if your friends would stick up for you but some people are scared they will be the next target. Ignore them the best you can. Sorry I have nothing helpful to add. :)

i like this guy and i have no idea if he feels the same way. sometimes i get little signals, but nothing big. the problem is, i dont want to get too attached to him because he's not the type to have a gf. i talked about to one of my friends and she said that he would grow out of it and that i should be his first. the thing is, i dont know if he's ready to get out of it... should i forget about him or flirt with him? im back with my boyfriend james, we went out for 9 months and broke up a month ago but now we're goin out again, he cheated on me with my bestfriend and this really dirty chick. but i coudlnt help the things he says to me hes so nice. is it wrong that im back with him? this boy scotty who has been my friend always was so mad and punched him in the face when he saw me cryin when i found out. he said hed never treat a girl like that and if he does it again he'll rip him apart because he loves me.. he told me he has major feelings too and i think i like him, what should i do (link)

I could see you forgiving the guy if it was a one time thing. I don't know how committed a guyu is if he cheats more than once. I have my doubts, but that one is up to you.
Scotty sounds like a nice guy, and he likes you. You know he probably isn't going to cheat on you since he has already proven himself to be an honorable guy. If you want to date him instead, I think it would be a wonderful thing for you. :)

i have a bunch of friends and all. we hang out together a lot, but there is one problem. whenever i'm in a group situation, i always am the one left out - i guess you could call me the odd man out. i think my friends take me for granted, knowing that i'll always be there for them whenever they need help or whatnot, and that's the only time i feel like they care about me, when they have a problem they need help with. is there any way i could get my friends to realize that they're treating me like crap without actually saying it to them or acting really rude or whiny? thanks so much. i rate :D (link)

Refuse to let yourself be left out. Jump right into the conversation or start a new one. Be a little more aggressive and see if that helps you. :)

Short versions of a verrrry confusing story:
this guy likes me so much. hes nice, soo sweet, easy to talk to, pretty cute and funny. but i keep comparing him to this guy i used to like. the guy that likes me now. he seems like the perfect guy, but always tells me about his feelings for me..i think its clingy and annoying. hes soo perfect but i just don't have feelings for him! i keep trying to stop comparing him and i think if i give it time, i might like him. but, i just don't see that happening. he likes me soo much and thinks i like him a lot too and thats my fault because i let him think that. but WHAT should i do! i'm not into talking about feelings and he is, its like hes obsesed w.me. should i break it off now or just wait?? Tell him if he doesn't settle down, one of these days some girl will sue him for sexual harrassment. Some people are just weirdos and you can't tell them anything. He may just have to learn the hard way. If you know any of the girls well enough, tell them to start slapping him and making a big production of it. Maybe he won't like the negative publicity. :)

You just go out with Art then. The others will just have to get used to the idea...and they will sooner or later. You can't please everyone so don't even try. Just do what you want and don't let what they think influence your decision. :)

I don't know about NY in particular, but you do in most places nowadays. Sorta depends on the job really. Construction work and factory jobs are definate yesses. :)

Okay.. i need some way to cover a hickey.. i have a huge one on my boob.. which is no problem.. but if i get one on my neck.. i need a way to cover it while im around my parents.. Is there any special make up for it? I've tried foundation and concealer.. neither worked.. If you know of anyway to hide it.. besides covering it with my hair.. lemme know!!

You go with the one that you invited first. I think it's okay to tell the other girl that you like her though. Tell her you are already commited to take the friend to the dance but that you hope she will be there so you might have a few dances with her. If you are going to the dance as just friends though, it is possible that the friend you are taking may let the girl who likes you come along...If you're good enough friends you could ask. If she doesn't want to though, you are obligated to take the friend. Will make you look good...you are a man of your word. :)

Ok,sorry if this is long. I moved away from my city,call it A to a town/suburb call it B. If i might say,i was friends with almost everyone(in my grade in elementry school and middle school] in my home city, A.But when i moved to B,everything changed. People in B judge you by how you look and they hate you even when they never met you. I have friends,yes,but im not all that pretty and i know people dont like me,people that i dont even no hate me. I hate it,i dont hate anyone or talk about people behind there backs. People in A are so much nicer but ever since i moved,i get sadder and sadder every day. I know its stupid but i really cant handle it! I know at least some people will hate you were ever you go but im just not used to this change. Im not all that outgoing,but could anyone give me advice for my situation please? (link)

Just stick with those you have made friends with and forget the rest of them. There isn't much you can do to make them like you if they are that shallow. I doubt your parents will let you go back to your original school, so you have to try and make the best of a bad situation. :)

ok, my ex-girlfriend & I broke up a while ago, & for a while we didn't speak, but now we do & were really good friends, well, she just got out of another realationship (I think shes in this 1 2 get that guy jellious) & again, shes with someone else (I've been with anotehr person since her & I broke up, but now that other girl & I are broken up, but were good friends too) & hes really gross & perverted, & hes really tall & really strong, well, she can just be lead into anything any one wants, & expeshally when she wants to keep a relationship, & hes very good at convicing people to do things, well, he makes her touch certain areas & then he shoves his hand down her skirt, well, he told her & some other people that he wanted to have sex on there 1st date, & she said no, but they way he is, he might rape her or convince her to have sex...

Sounds like maybe you should find a way to let one of her parents know this about the guy. Preferably her dad. I think he may take care of this guy quite well. :)

ok well my dad is an alcholic and he drinks like every night and like a month ago he got pulled over for drunk driving he is in jail now and gets out in a few monthes! but before he went in he would always hit me and my family (not my mom tho)!! it gets me upset and dont no what to do!! and he only hits us when he isnt drunk so its either hes drunk or really mean does ne one no n e thing i can do w/o my mom knowing cuz she would freak if she found out that i tell ppl!! ~kel (link)

Lokk up alateen on the web. Tell her you found it and want to go to a meeting. It is for kids of alcoholics and is a good program. They have an alanon group that maybe she could benefit from too. Look them up. :)

Okay well my friend and i want to quit the dance team we are on rite now and we want to go to a dance studio that concentrates mostly on technique and such. I think thats cool, but I also think competing would be fun. Should I quit the dance team to go to the dance studio or do both??? (link)

Why not do both? They are probably diffrent routines, lots of practice! I think all the dancing you can get will probably benefit you. :)

Hi! Hope you are well!! Here is the latest update on the Australian saga.
I went home to see my boyfriend and tried to talk to him about our relationship and he wouldn't listen. I tried dropping subtle hints but they didn't work!
He said he was coming back from work at 5.30 to spend some time with me before we went out and I got a phonecall saying he'd just met up with some friends so wouldn't be coming back. Great.
Anyway, I went out last night. I went to the bar where the Australian works and he wasn't there. I didn't ask where he was because that would look too keen. I went to the club where we went last week and he wasn't there. I got really drunk with my friends and texted him-Aaaagh!
I texted him saying 'magic roll' which is the place we were going to go to last week but it was closed. Anyway, he texted back asking me to get him one and gave his address. I felt he was using me a bit and perhaps taking advantage of the fact I had drunk quite a lot?? Anyway, I texted back saying no I wouldn't go and give him one. I got nothing back.
I woke up this morning and texted him apologising for the drunken texts. He sent one back saying don't worry, that he founf it funny and then asked how I was feeling. I told him I was feeling pretty hungover and then asked how he was feeling. He texted back saying he wasn't feeling well and was still in bed (which is why he probably didn't go out last night). He then said he was just going stay in and watch a dvd this afternooon. This is what the text said -'I'm still in bed ive got a head cold and feel like crap. think I might just get a dvd this afternoon ur more than welcome?'
Is this just being friendly? I sent him one back saying than you but I had loads of work to do but hoped he'd get better and that I'd see him soon for a magic roll. I got nothing back.
I feel really stupid because I think he thinks I fancy him because I sent him that text last night. But then he would have thought that in that case I would have gone round to watch the dvd. I am so confused! i'm going to be so embarrassed!! will let you know if there are any more updates!! (link)
