Okay.. i need some way to cover a hickey.. i have a huge one on my boob.. which is no problem.. but if i get one on my neck.. i need a way to cover it while im around my parents.. Is there any special make up for it? I've tried foundation and concealer.. neither worked.. If you know of anyway to hide it.. besides covering it with my hair.. lemme know!!
Thanks!
P.S. I'm female.. so I have access to all kinds of makeup
BlairDotCom answered Thursday April 28 2005, 3:32 pm: okay, theres this stuff -- im not sure what its called, but its green. Kind of liquidy-- all kinds of make-up labels make something like that.
Basically--it minimizes the redness, tones it down because it is darker than the red. Then you can easily eough put some foundation, or powder over it and really minimizes the intesity of what was there.
Im not sure how well that works, since ive never had a hickey before, but it cant hurt to try.

Because green over the redness of the hickie cancels out the redness and so you are left with pretty much the same colour as your natural skin tone. Then go over it with pressed powder-keep it in your bag so you can touch up during the day. Everyone assumes that hickies are always on your neck-they don't have to be!
If you get one that you don't have to cover up then it can be your secret without being embarrassed that everyone will see it!
Good luck! [ Daisy's advice column | Ask Daisy A Question ]

Deanimal answered Wednesday April 27 2005, 1:35 am: I generally use concealor. Thick, pancake concealor.
You know, hickies on your neck are easily avoided. Just say "I love it when you give me hickies, how about my boob again?"
Really, just don't let the guy suck your neck. Either don't give hickies or suggest other places.
If it does happen, ice the area almost immediately. (THROUGH A WASHCLOTH!!) This will help a little, but it only works if you do it early. After you've done that, wear your hair down a lot and wear thick concealor. The hickey will fade in a few days. [ Deanimal's advice column | Ask Deanimal A Question ]

chaos answered Tuesday April 26 2005, 10:55 pm: It's too hot for a turtleneck. Have you tried tattoo cover up? You can get it at most bridal sites or probably at your local department store. I would definitely call ahead for that one.
The best advice is don't let him put one on your neck. If he does, then do it to him and let him deal with it. He'll look even funnier. [ chaos's advice column | Ask chaos A Question ]
MyPaperHeartIsBleeding answered Tuesday April 26 2005, 10:26 pm: Get a reallly cold spoon and put it on it, it really helps. I also heard lemon juice or something works. I had the same problem...lol one on the boob and a huge one on my neck. My mom didn't really care though. Try liquid conceler and then powder over it.. I did that though and people could still tell. Uhm.. You will probly just have to let it heal though. Not much you can do though bcause a hickey is breaking blood vessels.. just like a bruise..
