I agree 100% of it. Advice is advice and it is given when asked for. I give it and I leave it at that. It's up to the questioner/advice seeker to take it.

:.That point leads onto my philosophies in advice giving:
1. Advice is given when asked and no time else, unless your friend is about to irritate a black bear, then you should definitely advice your friend to back away and run for his or her life.
2. Advice is not critical, not judgmental, and definitely not biased. Advice is advice and should remain neutral.
3. Advice is to help, not to get 5s on every answer. As a result, my advice ends up being quite blunt and frank with a hint of rambling mixed in.

There's a talent show at my school coming up really soon and I'd like to play piano and sing. :-) Does anyone know any really nice piano songs that I could play piano and sing to? i need help w/ this math problem:

Ed has a car needing repair. he has researched repari shops and found that Franks Body Shop charges a flat fee of $350 for any size job. manuels fix-it right shop cahrges a flat fee of $100 plus a rate of $50/hour. At what "repair time" would the two repari shops charge an equal amount? Who sould Ed employ if he know the repair will take 1 hour? who should he employ if the repairs will take 3 hours?

i have to define variables, write a system of equations and graph the system of equations, and solve the system of equations.
i got the following so far:

y=fee, x=cost
frank...... y=$350
Manuel..... y=50(x)+100

i dont know how to graph these or solve them. i know what i have is right cause i had my teacher check it. but now i'm stuck. Plez help. thank you so much!

Draw a graph and make sure that the upper right square is the biggest. You don't need the other 3 sections actually. Okay, spacing is going to be hard. I say convert the hours into minutes to make your life a little easier. Go up by 20's. Like start with a zero, skip a space, write 20, skip, write 40, etc for y & x-axis. On the x-axis, you only have to go up to 180, but go up to 200 just incase. For y-axis, you only have to go up to 360, but do 380 just in case, also.

For Frank, start by drawing a dot at 350 on the y-axis. From there just draw a straight horizontal line. So it extends from 350 on the y axis to the end of the paper. For Manuel's, I suggest you pick a different color to help you distinguish who's is who's but you don't have to. But for Manuel, draw a dot at 100 on the y-axis. Now, go up 50 spaces (so that you're at 150) on the y-axis, and go to the right 60 spaces. Do that several times until you end up at 250 on the y-axis and at 180 on the x-axis.

Some girls like it and some girls don't. You may think it's disgusting while others may enjoy it. It all depends on the person's personality, how they were brought up, etc. If you come from a conservative family, of course it's gross on the other hand if you have perverted friends and your familys loose and such, you may not think much of it.

You have to understnad that guys are turned on by any sexual activity and are horny 99% of the time. Hehe. Anywhos, just because you think that two guys making out isn't hot doesn't mean that it isn't. Some people are just naturally turned on by two people of the same gender making out. ok well how about this........i am going to start from the beginning if that is ok with u.......we met 3 summers ago doing a summer musical, so we have been friends about 3 and a half years. I am going to use names to make it easier to understand. I met my two best friends Jake and Laura the summer after my freshman year. Laura seemed quiet and Jake was a little preppy. I was a little closer to Jake then Laura during this play.....but as a couple plays went by we were the three musketeers and were unseperable. Laura and jake started to hang out more without me and whenever I was with Jake alone it was just weird because Laura and him became better friends that he and i were. But School came around and jake and his preppy friends started to hang out again and Laura became my best friend. Let me explain Laura for a sec....... her parents are older and very over protective, she is kinda sheltered, very thin and when she wears her contacts and straitens her hair she is very pretty....she became a depressed freak, all she would talk about was how ugly she was and how stupid she was and how she was depressed from her parents or jake because he was hanging out with his preppy friends too much or anything like that......she made me so depressed I cried myself to sleep every night.....but she was my best friend so i tried my hardest to help her. She confessed to me one day that she loved jake and she had liked him since our first show together and that she really really loved him.... so the next play came around and us three started to hang out more again but this time i was really close to jake and laura....whenever laura got on my nerves i would hang out with jake....it was kinda refreshing and cool since i could finally hang out with him alone and be comfortable...laura and jake became like him and i were they couldnt hang out alone it was just to weird.....laura actually told me one day that every best friend she had ever had used her and after awhile thought she was weird so just stopped talking to her. I promised her i would never do that. But she got more and more annoying every day......and that just pulled jake and i closer together...he eventually found out that she liked him and he started to like her even though they were the farthest apart they had ever been, they started dating at the beginning of this school year(mine and lauras senior year...jake is only a sophmore) and jake bought her a promise ring (very expensive)....her parents were very upset when she got that... she just got really weird and obsessive over jake and her and jake broke up... he admitted that he really didnt like her that much and the ring wasnt a promise ring it was just a friendship ring. Her depression finally got a little better but mine got worse because she would make me feel like crap.....so one day i just told her in the nicest way possible that we couldnt be friends anymore because i just couldnt deal with the depression she put on me.....i felt bad because she said all of her friends do that to he but i have to and now its just me and jake and we are closer that ever(and i am the happiest i have been in a long time...without laura...it was the right thing to do). (Laura had always been a goodie girl and we just found out like 2 weeks ago that she got fingered on the bus, we were shocked) anyways my friend kendra told me that jake said something about liking me and the funny thing was that i had been thinking about it lately but we just havent told each other......(at the end of the summer before Laura and my senior year i had a party while my parents were gone and laura was invited but didnt come she was too good to drink her mom would find out she said...( i respected that)....this was my first time drinking and my 28 yr old brother bought the alcohol.... that night jake said something to me and kendra that we were shocked to hear... that he wanted my brother....he wouldnt stop about it all night......the next few weeks when him and laura were dating he regreted more than ever saying what he did and kendra and i were fine with it.....we didnt tell anyone and it stayed between us(laura didnt even know).....now its jake and i with us hiding how we like eachother....but new years eve jake kendra and i went to my grandmas(my brother lives with my grandma)....she gave us a couple glasses of wine and jake (with not a very good alcohol tolerance) got really wasted....all of a sudden him and my brother were playing darts and kendra told me that he had said it again and i was in a way heart broken but in a way shocked that he would say that again....thats when we talked and he said that he really really liked me but just liked my bro when he was drunk....i spent hours and hours at my grandmas cleaning his puke and wiping his mouth and being a good friend... i wasnt drunk at all and when we left my grandmas all he talked about was that he wanted to have sex with me that night.... and how he was going to get me drunk(were both still virgins by the way)...and i kinda wanted to....(we had been talking about going to prom together also)...but we went back to my house and he sobered up and we ended up not doing anything...

Heh, okay so Jake saying something about your brother..forget it. People who get wasted say/do the stupidest things in all different levels. Alcohol has a very damaging effect. So just put that off to one side right now.

He's a 10th grader and you're about to graduate? Well, having sex with him is illegal becuase you're probably 18 and he's..well not. Haha. But anywhos, forget about that. If you really really love him then do it. If you don't have any doubts in your mind whatsoever that is. If you're having the slightest doubt, then just forget the whole idea. But it's true that doing someone that you don't know for the first time is horrible compared to losing your virginity to someone when you're are not drunk (I hope) and you know the person and you treasure the person dearing. But you need to think about this. You may emotionally be able to handle sex but Jake might not be because right now he's just a horny teenager like every teenager out there. Just talk to him about it for a while. Make sure HE doesn't have any doubts and make sure he's not wanting to have sex just because he's horny but because he truly wants to and loves you. And make sure you're not doing this because he wants you to or you want to just lose your virginity before you go to college. Good luck!!

Everyone's first periods are a pain and changes form person to person but it shouldn't last for more than a week. Just change your pad/tampon 2 or 3 hrs since it's heavy and make sure you use a long pad. If you're afraid of it leaking, use the long ones--for nights and that way you'll be secure with the leaking problem.

And it's not bad "if the blood gets on the place where you pee out of?" as you've quoted. If you feel iffy about it get the pad from Always with the little wipes attached to the front

My friend and I write songs. She sings and I play the piano.
Our style is sort of like the song How To Save A Life by The Fray or Coldplay or the song Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol.
If I were to make up a simple riff on the piano, how would I know what notes my friend would sing... or the key... or what rhythm? If can't figure this out.

Well this will take effort on both sides. First decide the key signature. Will it be 2/4 4/4 3/4 6/8 etc. Decide that first to first get your rhythm. Then work on the notes and how to fit it in there and make sure it's not too high/low for you friend to sing it. There is not certain way other than to work together to come up with your own unique tune so have fun and good luck

Tampons are tricky. Well first you need to get the right size. There should be a little chart on a tampon box that will tell you what size you need. Have you read the instructions that come with them? You do exactly as they tell you too. Don't feel afraid to push it up there because if you don't, it's gonna cause discomfort. If you do feel uncomfortable, try readjusting it or push it up a little bit higher. It would take you a couple or minutes to kinda get used to it. But it will take you a while to get completely used to it.

I can't answer specifics but...

A normal teenage girl needs to consume 2200 calories a day and a teenage guy 2800..i think the guy's is wrong but anyways. All you need to do is look in the nutritions fact side.
Sodium makes you gain fat along with foods that are junk food, mayo, butter, peanut butter, etc. but you know that. Avoid those foods and soda (even if its diet) and drink plenty of water, eat veggies every meal and you should be fine. Also school lunches are filled with carbs so if you can, pack your own lunch with healthy items such as carrots and dip, apples, etc. You should try to fit in at least 30min-60min of excersie 3 times a week..I know, life is just too busy...get up early in the morning + go for a breif walk or in the evening

so, around homecoming season at our high school, this girl that lives across the street from me started a bunch of stupid drama with me OVER A HOMECOMING DRESS. so she and her group of five or six girls hated me and my two best friends. about a month ago, they did a bunch of shit to my house [since of course they live just right there] i was out of town at the time. they harassed me and left me rude comments on myspace [yeah, really mature & all]. they are all mostly skanks, literally. so now one of my best friends mentioned above is becoming friends with the leader of the army of skanks and somewhat with another of the girls. it's rediculous and i can't believe it. i'm not anywhere near ready to forgive and forget. she acts like shes friends with them and is nice to them, but tells me she hates them [which i know is obviously a lie].

Okay, well they have issues. They're jealous of you and they are just being immature...if you didn't do ANYTHING to them, print out all the crude comments they posted and report it to the PRINCIPLE seriuosly. It will get them in trouble. Tell them about all the stupid things they are doing to you over a stupid dress...who know they might even be suspended form homecoming. Hehe. But if you DID do something mean or something back to them, I say ignore them. Wear the dress you want and just completely forget about them. They're not worth your time and you should just move on. I am seventeen and I met my best friend from doing plays together, we have alot in common, like we both like to sing and act. I have always liked my best friend as a brother but I am starting to develop feelings for him. He has always been feminine and people call him gay but I trust him when he says he's not. The problem is that everytime we get drunk he wants my brother. When he was drunk I asked him if he was gay and he said he wasnt and that he did like me but he liked my brother. Okay, well he may just be bi, really feminine, or just confused. When people are drunk, we react to it in all different ways and his is in a awy where he wants a guy. He isn't necssarily gay ..he may be bi. He may know this and doesn't wnt to come out or he's confused about his orientation or he's in denial about his orientation, etc. Just don't force stuff on him and ask him if he's gay because that seems to hurt some people when they aren't..or don't wnt to come out..or just flat out is bi. Anyways, just chill and let him take him time.

Well if you are having a REALLY light period, your blood can just turn black because it's really light and you're leaving the pad on as if it was just a normal period. It's just your blood that's dried up because you're having a light one so I wouldn't worry much about it

Well about a month ago me and my boyfriend of 11 months broke up... and about two weeks later he had hooked up with this girl that he really didn't care too much about because she was a golddigger... she was always rude to him, wouldnt let him hang out with his friends, and whenever she was around her male friends he was shown to them as her friend and not her boyfriend.... anyhow, three nights ago, me and my ex was conversating and all the sudden I found me and him having sex. Well you guys broke up and that results in you guys not being able to solve a problem without breaking up. He's cheating on this girl right now no matter how much he dislikes her and that's a bad thing. And this girl can go in bitch mode if she finds out if her bf dumped her to get back with you although it seems like she doesn't care. How do I convince my friend Rebecca that her mom does not think she looks drawn any more and she does not have to gain weight. On August 25, 2006 Rebeccas mom said: "Rebecca you look drawn, you look very thin, but you dont have to gain just dont lose." However,on September 2, 2006 her mother said: "Rebecca you look good you no longer look drawn dont forget you havent taken a vacation in 2 years." Tell your friend that she's going to develope an eating disorder of some sort if she doesn't accept what other people truel think. Tell her that she looks perfect the way she is and that if she tries to do something about her weight, she's going to make herself look not too healthy. Just keep reassuring to her that she looks fine and take an old pic. of her looking drawn and hold up a picture of her now and compare them and she'll see the difference and hopefully realize that she looks wonderful right now the way she is

My dear, you're only in middle school...you're taking this a wee bit too seriously. If you break up with boys that you like jsut because people make stupid judgements about you because of a guy, you're never going to make a relationship work. People are going to have to accept the real you and you who like someone they may dislike. If you try to please all your friends, you're not going to have time to have what you want. Stick with this guy and if people don't like you for that stupid reason, forget about them. They're worthless friends. Find people who will like you for you and not for who you date and how much you please them.
