I'm supposed to be going to the gyn (women's doctor) in a few months, and I was wondering, when they stick their fingers inside you to examine you, does that hurt badly, or what? Do they loosen you up or what..?

well the other day when my friend slept over it was time to put our pj's on and i usually go into the bathroom to get changed and my friend just started to take it all of in front of me and i got nervous so i went to the bathroom.....does that mean anything?? like did she want to see me naked or somthing?? because she is usually a private person about that stuff

this is the story... one of my good friends leah liked me friend dan and he liked her.. or at least he thought he did.. he lied to himself to make himself like her.. while he was supposedly likeing her he told me he was confused and thought he liked me too.. this was bad.. the thing is his best friend likes me too.. and my best friend likes him.. we both have feelings for each other but we cant do anything about it bc of our best friends.. we went to six flags a few days ago and we all hung out but i could tell that my friend was soo bored with this girl.. he realized and told her a few days later..the thing is i told her that he wasnt worth it and that she could do better.. i really dont think i had alterior reasons for telling her... i dont think i told her bc i wanted him for myself. but if i go out with him then everyones gonna think of it like that and i dont want to be a hypocrite!! HELP!! WAT DO I DO???

Tell your best friend just that. Tell her you didn't tell her those things because you wanted him. Have a good talk about it. Don't let that stop you from going out with the guy if you really like him, just let her know you had her interests at heart. :)

ok well here's the problem --- see if you can do the math. Ok my friend Eric is the FUNNIEST guy i've ever met, he's my sunshine in total *u*king darkness... like i talk to him to help me deal with my oh-so-emo life. He's always there for me, and i'm always there for him. I'd help him with ALL kinds of his problems, but then he just got a new (and totally bad!) one.. that i cant seem to solve. His girlfriend broke up with him, and they went out for 2 years, the breakup was REALLY hard on him *he thought he was gonna marry her or something* and he really wants a girlfriend. I'm not sure if he's on the rebound, but i dont think so. He's 16 and driving this September, and yet he cant get a girlfriend. He's semi-hot, but looks dont matter *even though they sorta do but..*. He said that he knows alot of girls and has alot of friends that ARE girls, but they are all taken. He dosent see the beauty of being single--yet. But he's been really depressed and so have i, i got threatend to be killed, and i wanted him to help me cope with it through laughter, but he was just as upset. Also, he's in my band, and the band is me and him lol, and we both make lyrics, and my lyrics are serious and emo because i'm going through that stage in life when everything sucks, and he makes the fun, jump-in, dance, funny, sorta lyrics, but ever since he's been depressed, his lyrics are just like mine, and i dont want everyone to think our band is emo and gothy. Also, i want the best for him, cause he's my homeboy lol. My friends and i talked to him about dying his hair and stuff *changing his apperance* but he's a band jocky, and he's a lost cause. He will find someone else. When you break up with someone you have dating a long time its almost like the person died. You have to do some grieving and it doesn't go away overnight. Give him some time. He will eventually get over it. About all you can do is lend a shoulder and be a friend, like hes done for you in the past. No need to shove him into a relationship right away he will find someone when the time is right for him. :)

okay heres my problem..one of my best friends is going out with this guy two years older than her... and he has a REALLY bad rep like everyone knows him for having sex and using all these girls... but ive talked to her and him many times and hes changed a lot over the year, and he really likes my friend and he wont let her do anything too bad because he doesnt want her to think hes using her, but were going into highschool and i really am scared for her beacuse she will start to get the bad rep and no one understands there relationship and will think hes just using her.. what should i do and what should she do should she break up with him and wait till later in the year or what?

If you really like someone you just date them and the heck with what anyone thinks. I really don't know why you think going into high school will make anything different than it is now. It won't. If she doesn't have a bad rep now, going to school in a different building isn't going to change that. HE may have, it shouldn't affect her any. :)

well first i am 14/f, and anyone makes fun of my question in anyway, i will report you and get you banned. and well people who are willing to help, please help i need help ASAP. my problem is this. i am crushing on a gay guy. i just met him and he first denied that he was, but today he told me and my friend that he is gay. but he is fits so perfect for my dream prince. he likes stuff i like, and such. not to mention he is sooo hot.
so please, is there anyway i can turn him straight? i know it will be really hard and i can't help it because its like hormon, but i have heard of few stories that it can happen. but i dont know how, and please dont say give up, because i know most of you will try to do that but i already know that , but i have to try at least!! so please please help me.

It depends on what you are getting the physical for. Since I have worked in doctors office before I can tell you this much....
If you are going for a sports/cheerleader physical more than likely you will not get a shot. They will get your weight, blood pressure, Listen to your heart and lungs, things like that.
The only reason they would give you a shot would be if you needed a booster of some kind. Unless you are having a problem of some kind, they probably will let you keep all your blood. :)

Ok, here goes, theres this guy Sam and i think he used to like me but i was totally mean to him because he was always kinda annoying. Now he has a girlfriend and i think she is so wrong for him. When i found out that he had a girlfriend i all of a sudden got jealous and didn't know what to do. He's such a sweet guy but this girl is kinda rough around the edges if you know what i mean. She's kinda out there and i don't have a good feeling about her and Sam. I just don't know what to do about the way i feel about him and the jealousy and about how i dont have a good feeling about him and his girlfriend.
Sorry it's so long but i could use some good advice.
P.S. Him and i are kinda friends but we used to talk all of the time.

Don't try to break them up because it will only make you look bad. Wait until they are no longer dating if you want a chance with him. :)

ok so i hear if you take test and it comes out positive, there is still a chance it can be wrong and your really not pregnant. i also hear if it comes out negative..it can be inacurate as well and you really could be pregnant..therefore how is taking a pregnancy test a good indicator if your pregnant or not? are you supposed to take like 4 in a row and see whatever answer comes out the most?

The tests are much more accurate than they used to be. Chances are they will be correct most of the time. So long as it is done correctly.
The most accurate test will still be made in a doctors office or health department. But even they can give the occasional false reading. Nothing is 100%. :)

My mothers' doctor tells me anti-depressants (SSRI's like prozac) will reduced the effectiveness of the birth control pill. I'm not sure I can trust him, as he is very sexually conservative and doesn't beleive unmarried people should have sex. He always seems to be trying to scare me out of having sex. (I rather not go to him anymore, but there are very very few family doctors where I live.)
I know the normal issues and chances with the pill, but I can't seem to find any reasources online that deal with this specifically. Does anyone have any idea or personal experience?

I haven't looked it up ( check the drugs on a medical site) but, if your doctor says it you can probably believe it. It is against the law for them to knowingly give you false information.
Antibiotics I know can reduce the effectiveness so it is more than likely true. :)

Okay, well one of my friends was talking to me, and she said she thought she was overwieght. She doesn't really look it, but she said she's gained about 20lbs in the past year. She thinks it may be due to stress because she moved just this past year. Well she had to leave her boyfriend behind and everything, and now she's maintaining a long distance relationship, which we all know can be stressful. Anyway, her boss usues relacore, and has an extra bottle, and my friend told me she was thinking about using it. So I asked her if it was safe and she said she wasn't sure. So I visited a website, relacore.com and I still wasn't completely sure if it was safe or not. She's only 15 and I wasn't sure if this was something that only adults should use, or something of the such. Anyway, we just wanted to know if relacore is okay for a 15 year old girl to take, and if not are there any other diet pills you could reccommend? Thanks in advance (link)

Slim-fast will work if you have a healthy diet and exercise. Pill are probably not that safe...as you usually found out in 4-5 years after damage is done.
Healthy diet and exercise is the best way to lose weight. I know that's what everyone always says, but it is true. That being the case, slim-fast is unnecessary.

my husband is an alcholic, he promises to stop drinking but i always seem to find bottles of beer hidden in different places how can i help him stop he seems to think he is not hurting anyone but i dont like the drunken behaviour in front of my kids even though they are grown up but now he has his first grandchild and yet he still wont stop, you see he stopped drinking for 22 years and for the last 5 he has been secretly drinking cause everytime i find his bottl es we argue can you advise me please. I was in the kitchen making cookies when I discovered that I had no vanilla extract. The cookie recipie that I'm using calls for only 1/2 teaspoon of the extract, but I'm worried about how they would turn out.
Is it ok to leave out the vanilla extract, or are there any substitutes for vanilla extract?

I'm sure you have delicious cookies by now. You can safely leave out the vanilla. Have done it many times. If you happen to have another extract you could use it...depends on if you like the flavor and if it would be good in your cookies. Root Beer for example might be a bit yukky. :)
