I'm supposed to be going to the gyn (women's doctor) in a few months, and I was wondering, when they stick their fingers inside you to examine you, does that hurt badly, or what? Do they loosen you up or what..?
XstuckINsideMYheartO answered Monday August 15 2005, 5:33 pm: At my recent physical, they did that. it was unsuspected, my doctor just told me out of the blue. At first I was uncomfortable just thinking about it, but once it happens it dosent take that long. Try focusing on somthing elese in the room. It worked for me. babygirl17 answered Sunday August 14 2005, 11:25 am: No it doesnt hurt... It puts a little pressure on your bladder because they are pushing on your cervix to make sure that everything is ok... Don't stress over it.. It is nothing.. I recently went for the same thing.

ncblondie answered Sunday August 14 2005, 10:03 am: It might be a little uncomfortable but it should not hurt. Try to relax as much as you can and distract yourself from the exam. It'll make it less uncomfortable as well as make it go by quicker. [ ncblondie's advice column | Ask ncblondie A Question ]
desertgirl26 answered Sunday August 14 2005, 9:48 am: Man... it's okay. Honestly! I just had my first appointment about a week ago and it was NOTHING near what I thought it would be. My gyno was REALLY REALLY nice and I wasn't uncomfortable AT ALL! It didn't hurt or anything, and they won't really loosen you up. It's okay... just remember, it's a part of life! Hope i helped-- Sahara [ desertgirl26's advice column | Ask desertgirl26 A Question ]
