:.I have a lot of personal, family, and friend issues of my own so a lot of times, I can probably relate to you a lot of times if you have personal, family, and/or friend issues.
:.I can offer a lot of information, help, and advice on family and friend relationships, love lives, depression, stretching/flexibility, weight loss, violin, being organized, dog training, forensics (public speaking), keeping up with school/extracurricular activities, eating disorders, writing (stories and poems), and probably a lot of other random stuff like what to drink when you eat something spicy and why.
:.Although I can help a lot of you guys on the above subjects, I don't tend to take my own advice so it can become quite an awkward/ironic/contradicting situation for me or make myself sound like a complete and utter hypocrite.
:.Hannah Whitall Smith once said, "The true secret of giving advice is, after you have honestly given it, to be perfectly indifferent whether it is taken or not, and never persist in trying to set people right." I agree 100% of it. Advice is advice and it is given when asked for. I give it and I leave it at that. It's up to the questioner/advice seeker to take it.
:.That point leads onto my philosophies in advice giving:
1. Advice is given when asked and no time else, unless your friend is about to irritate a black bear, then you should definitely advice your friend to back away and run for his or her life.
2. Advice is not critical, not judgmental, and definitely not biased. Advice is advice and should remain neutral.
3. Advice is to help, not to get 5s on every answer. As a result, my advice ends up being quite blunt and frank with a hint of rambling mixed in.

13/f. I was in the popular preppy group but now I am in the gothic. I think I am still bffs with my friend in the popular group. If I ask her anything around that or that she says oh ya why wouldn’t we be I love you or bffs still. We used to be bffs but then it was off and on because we didn’t do the same sports. So I got tired of thinking if tomorrow wed be bffs or not. my gothic friends are always there for me and im very rough and they are to so i can just be myself and also they dont theyd never tell a parent if someone hurts them. my old preppy friends would always just sit there and laugh at stuff that made no sense and if someone hurts them they go tell it drove me fuckin crazy. they never understood what i went through or my music or me cussing. my new gothic friends I love them and they and he are the only ones that understand me. i miss the preppy popular people i dono why? i was never as close with them. ive always liked black but never wore that much because it was 'not perky' i never was perky thay tried to change me. i miss them. but i love being with my gothic friends their my bffs. im myself around them and alot happier and everything. but my parents dont like them. and is trying to keep me away im tired of sneaking and she nos and shes always saying what wrong with my friends!!! im just like them so whats the matter. were not the extreme gothic kids. we go to a fucked up catholic school no peircings or tattoos or hair coloring. theyre always checking US its driving me fucking crazy. think if you were all for expression and you could never express urself at all or even say gothic at school. their always watching us were always doing something wrong. ive always been the quiet shy girl but now im breakin out. whats wrong with me?

Frankly, I think labels are just overrated. See what it has done to people? Separate us. It's like if one person is labeled that, another label is forbidden to go near them. My advice for you is be you. I know it's cheesy and trite but it will be the best.
There is now law saying that you have to hang out with only one group of friends, right? So why not be friends with both groups? And about your mom not liking what's going on, chillax. Respect what your mom is saying [she's probably worried--stereotyping] and just limit what you say about your current friends and if you need to sneak out, sneak out. That's what I do. My mom doesn't like the group of friends I have so I never tell her about them that much.
Hmm so to sum it up:
Be yourself
Be friends with whoever you like
There is no law saying you can't contact another group while being in another group.
So just have fun, enjoy life, be yourself and don't let labels ruin it.
so, i want to lose 10 pounds so im trying to eat healthier. i normally eat cheezits and fruit snacks but today i got those uncrustables (pb n j thing) and a bag of chips only because i was really hungry. but would the pb n j be healthy for me to eat everyday at lunch?
Everyday for lunch? No. Once in a while? Yes.
Peanut butter itself is very high in fat and, while most jellies are healthy, the one used in the manufactured PB&J sandwhich is probably bad for you and higher in sugar and artificial flavoring rather than real fruit. It is also very, very out of the normal proportion. I've tried one and there is double the amount of peanut butter and jelly that should be on a PB & J sandwhich.
So instead of getting those sandwhiches, get a cheese and turkey sandwhich or something like that. Get healthy, fresh sandwhiches because whatever comes manufactured and packaged is unhealthy. So stick with fresh sandwhiches, fruits, salads, and veggies =)
Okay, last night my boyfriend popped my cherry, but I still have vaginal bleeding today. I know it's not my period because I finished my period a week ago. Is this normal?
It varies from people to people and some will bleed lightly for a few hours and some might bleed lightly for a day or a little longer. If it doesn't stop bleeding soon, though, you may want to see what's up with it at a clinic =]

Me and this girl has been good friends for about 4 years now. about 2 years ago she introduced me to one of her friends...who i REALLY like. We've been together for about 1 week. I don't know if i should tell her. I'm not good with these kinda of things....should I tell her?
You should tell her right now because she'll feel left out and lied on if you don't tell her straight out. She'll feel like you're hiding something from her and perhaps think you've hid other things from her in the pst...

i'm 5'5 and weigh 158lbs. i've been going on and off diets for awhile, and the one i was recently on worked great. i lost 15lbs on it! well, this weekend..i kind of over-ate and gained 5lbs back on (on thursday i weighed 152lbs).
i need tips on how to keep myself from cheating on my diets, and stick to it. i also need tips for snacking, excersising, and a way to beat cravings..
i have no deadline, really. if i can loose this weight before school ends, i'll be happy.

I believe that the average weight for you should be around 125lbs. So aiming for 30lbs is a great idea but don't try to achieve it all at once because the faster you lose it, the more likely it gets that you'll gain those pounds back--really quickly!
Here is a tip about exercising: going on a same routine for a while won't help! You need to switch it up as much as you can. Why? Because your body will grow accustomed to your exercise habits and will no longer burn as much calories than when you first started. So I'd say do these exercises and make sure you switch them up as often as you can =]
-Running/Jogging
-Jump roping
-Aerobics
-Pilates
-Weight lifting
Do any three of these above at least 3 times a week.
-Crunches/Curl ups
-Leg lifts
-Push ups
-Oblique Crunches
-Yoga
-Side Crunches
Try and do one or two of those above everyday. It seems like a hassel but you'll get into the habit of setting aside 15min for these everday. Start with a reasonable number and gradually increase and I mean GRADUALLY.
A good way to make sure you're switching is to get index cards and write each of the exercises and get them into 2 differnet piles (exercises from the first list and exercises from the 2nd list). Pick random ones from each deck and it will likely help you with varying your exercise. If you don't know what some of the exercises are/want a few more exercises, message my inbox =]

Now, for the eating part...
You must eat all your meals! Because if you skip meals, your body will just end up storing more fat because it knows that it's not going to get food in between a meal...if that made sense. Now, that doesn't mean you can go off and eat everything anytime you get hungry.
5 Meal rule: (all food consumed must be healthy)
Breakfast:
Whole wheat/grain toast with light cream cheese or low fat peanut butter with fresh fruit OR english muffin with light cream cheese are MUCH better than sugary cereals, eggs, bacon, etc.
Snack:
Fresh fruits (sliced apple, grapes), dried fruit, whole wheat crackers with low fat cheese, yogurt, veggies, etc.
Lunch:
Whole wheat bread with lean meats, low fat peanut butter, etc. and fresh fruit or salad with low fat dressing.
Snack:
Same as the above one
Dinner:
Grilled chicken or fish, baked potatos, fruits, veggies
Beverages:
H2O should be your best friend. Try and limit your soda intakes and make them diet if you have to drink them. Juices should be like orange juice or something with not much added flavor/sugar in there. Milk should be fat free or low fat.
Basically my point here is to eat healthy foods. The snacks in between help you from getting too hungry causing you to splurge yourself with food during meals. Limit junk food/fast food intakes but not completely get rid of them. Instead of potato chips, ask your mom if she can buy pretzels. Have you or your mom cut up fruits/veggies into serving size and put them on the eye leveled shelf of the fridge so when you're hungry, they're right there for you to eat.
Remember that exercise isn't the only thing to lose weight. Eating is very important. don't overwork yourself and gradually increase your intensity of your workout or you might injure youself...

hey ppl! well, i'm 14/f, and i have a problem. when i was about... 11 i think, i wanted to start shaving my legs. well, my mom didn't think i was old enough to shave with an actual razor, so she got me an electric razer thing. well, now i'm 14 and that electric razer does just not cut it. it doesn't get all of the hair off my legs. i want a razor, but i don't think my mom will let me. does that stuff by suave or whatever work? its the stuff kinda like nair. with the bladeless razor. idk what to do. help! thanx!!
Nair didn't work out well for me but then different people have different results...
Just ask your mom if you can buy an actual razor and if she still says no, go over to your friends, have her mom drive you guys to a market and get one with your own money. Or if you have a Target gift card or something, go online and order it with the gift card--about the razor replacing...unless your dad has a regular razor, you might have to buy them yourself...or just buy one and tell your mom that you need to replace the razor head..

Well, popping the cherry basically means you lose your virginity. It doesn't matter how hard he does it or how soft he does it...as long as he does it, your cherry is going to pop. It's basically a hymen in your vagina opening that rips.
Okay on Friday I had about 5 friends over, and well we drank a little. And everyone passed out except me and this guy. And he was kinda all over me, trying to kiss me and stuff. Anywhos, eat healthy meals--cut out junk food as much as possible including soda, candy, fast food, pizza, etc. Drink lots of water and eat fruits and veggies. Exercise for 30min 3 times a week whether it's jogging, yoga, pilates, aerobics, etc. Do that and when lose all the excess fat, start toning exercises along with the running. [Crunchs, push ups, weight lift, etc.]
I have a really demanding mother. And everyday I have to live with it. Its ah-nnoying. Every word that comes out of her mouth is like do this do that. She never jokes around she takes things wayyy to seriousely, and Ive counted. And also whenever I try to talk to her, she always asks me questions about it, shes so nosy and has no social skills. Shes moody all the time. Like if she asks WHO did this and if no one did it she'll start yelling. i just cant stand this anymore. And I dont know what do?? I'm in a similar situation. I'm 14/9th grade and I'm in Latin IV, Alg II, strings, IB program, violin lesson, 6 clubs, and blah. I'm already deprived of sleep and social life yet my mom insists that I can to better which is ironic considering that I'm getting straight A's. She always tells me to help around the house more and clean my room and practice the violin more and it's just endless.
She can never take jokes, there has to be a who, what, when, where, and why to a story or it's yelling time for her.
I've learned that talking back or ignoring or just being a teenager does not help at all. Just for a couple of days, do some things you normally wouldn't do [like clean the kitchen, do laundry] without her telling you to do so. Then slowly and deviously plant a "life is busy" thing here and there. Hold back on jokes and stories and *poof*. It gets a little better.

If you think that drinking lots of water will make you lose weight, it will be the same as saying "butterflies will bring world peace".
To lose weight, you need to go on a healthy diet and exercise regularly. The last time I checked, junk food is not healthy and therefor those not help you lose wieght but rather helps you put on weight. So either give up junk food and go on a healthy lifestyle or say good bye to you dreams of losing weight.

Well this morning at work I was really bored, so I sent an email to my friend then I decided 2 look in my boyfriends emails, were both totally comfortable with doing that other wise we wouldn't have given each other our passwords! We've been together for nearly 2 years! He's 20 and i'm nearly 19!
So I clicked in his inbox and found an email from him to this girl who is a lot younger then him! Now when I found this email I couldn't contact my boyfriend because he works in a factory, so when he finished he came to my work, I totally believed him that he hasn't or wont cheat on me. But I wanted to talk to him about it, i've spoken to him about it and he's apologied and I guess I made him feel a bit guilty but now I feel guilty because I made him feel guilty!!!!

Don't fret because I can relate to this situation [being Nic]. This guy, who was 4 or 5 years older than me, and I used to talk all the time with hugs and kisses and the whole "you're bueatiful, gorgeous, etc" scene. Now, this is the part that will help you: we weren't like having an online relationship or a real life relationship or etc. We were like best friends that acknowledged each other as like a sibling. I mean I love him like woah and vice versa but he has a gf and I [at that time] had a bf.
So don't make such a big decision over a few words and let it slide by. And don't feel guilty for making him feel guilty...feel happy that you have the gift of making others feel guilty haha

well long story short.. tonight he came over.. and i figured he wanted something.. boy was i right.

Sex is totally up to you and you can't let anyone influence or make the decision for you other than yourself. If you want to and feel comfortable, you can but if not, you don't have to. And your friend needs to realize that there is going to be some boundries.
As for his motives...no one but he will know [unless he told someone else haha]. But anywhos, either just flat out ask him or jsut forget about it.
