I agree 100% of it. Advice is advice and it is given when asked for. I give it and I leave it at that. It's up to the questioner/advice seeker to take it.


:.That point leads onto my philosophies in advice giving:
1. Advice is given when asked and no time else, unless your friend is about to irritate a black bear, then you should definitely advice your friend to back away and run for his or her life.
2. Advice is not critical, not judgmental, and definitely not biased. Advice is advice and should remain neutral.
3. Advice is to help, not to get 5s on every answer. As a result, my advice ends up being quite blunt and frank with a hint of rambling mixed in.

advice

To cut a long story short theres this guy i work with and at first we were really close and he was txting me loads. we started goin out even though he has a girlfriend. me and this guy hav done stuff, my friend has started working with his girlfriend and now he has put cold water on our relationship. he sed that it cant continue any longer, but then sends me txt msgs and when were on our own its great, we secretly meet up which is exciting.... but im confused, i feel hurt and jealous. i think i need to get over it but dont know how. please advise me on what to do??

Short and simple:
You end it. Eventually this is going to end and the longer you put it off, the more hurt you're going to get. If he's already cheating on his gf for you, who knows who he will cheat on IF he breaks up with his current girlfriend and goes out with you...

Just end it because more feelings are going to get hurt. Put yourself in the shoes of his current gf and see how you'd feel. We all find out about the things we don't want to know sooner or later.

So some friends and i are thinking of a school prank, nothing damaging or something that would ruin anything but what are the consequences if you got caught on school property? Or if your caught in the act, what would the legal cosequences be? Were 15 if it helps.

It all differs from schools to counties to states to countries and the serverity of your prank. It should all be in the student/school handbook so read through it. The worst is getting expelled [which I hope you won't get]. There's ISS OSS detention community service...it just really depends on a lot of factors...major ones are what school you go to and what the prank is. It's all in the handbook

My best friend was raped about 2 months back, she didnt tell me about it,i found out from my other best friend. i was hurt that she didnt want to tell me but just got on with it cos she was obvisouly going thruogh a hard time. anyway another of my friends told me best friend that i knew, there was a big argument and no its all out in the open. its better but i feel really awkuard in front of my best mate and dont no what i can say or cant. has anyone got any advie, i wud really appreciate it.

You defintely don't want to force her to talk or think about anything relating to that incident. Just let her know that you're always going to be there for her and you'll listen and help her and keep everything confidential. & also that you won't be judgemental of anything.

Otherwise, you should try to stay away from where, wehn, and by whom when all this happened as to not give her any bad memories. If things get worse for her, I suggest you tell someone you trust that is an adult..

My grandmother and my dad is coming over to the states for my sister's graduation, right in the middle of ap exam week. My parents arent divorced, for some odd reason, even though my mom moved my sis and i to the states, and my dad is still half way across the pacific...my grandmother is always really manipulative...My grandmother and my mom has a lot of 'issues', now since my grandmother is aged and i guess feeling guilty for wrecking havoc on my parent's marraige is trying to make upfor what she did beofre. and lately she seems to be appeasing to my mom. but the last time she did this, 2 years ago, during my summer vacation to Taiwan, where they still live, i ended up getting kicked out of the house for defending my mother against her random accusations that we were stealing the family's money...i have no idea what to do, she is my grandmother but i feel like i can't really trsust her...i dont know her intentions. honestly i dont even want to face her when she comes...she did kick me out of my own house when i was in a foreign country, without pretty much anything. i cant afford to have a nervous breakdown during ap exams. i've worked way to hard to screw up now cause of my awesome family. i am so wrried i'm just going to snap and unleash on them, which has been my stragety as of late whenever i come near family with the exception of my mom and sis...and i cant do taht to my sister on her graduation day. its suppose to be nice and her day. sorry about the long rant. question is just how do i handle the relatives without a mental breakdown, flunking aps, and ruining graduation day for my sis?

I don't know how much of a help I can be for you but this is my suggestion[s]:

See if you have a friend willing to let you stay at your house while your grandmother is visting. Or any relatives you can go to. Just calmly explain to your mother that you don't think you can stay in the house and explain the situation. Then go to a friend or relative's house and see if you can stay there for a day or two [or however long you need to stay]. Getting my drift? I don't know what else to suggest to you other than to, well, lock yourself in your room. Um, or stay in a public library while your grandmother is over.

i just started for the 1st time last month. and it's been over 35 days and i haven't bled or anything! All i'm getting is the clear stuff [i guess that's called discharge...not sure.] well i keep getting worried it's just going to burst out and i'm not going to know its coming. Is it just irregular? and sticking a tampon up there..not being on my period would it do any damage?

Well, it will definitely be irregular for at the least of 2 years. After that, it should sort itself out or you can go to the doctor's and ask if they can put you on the pill so your periods can get regulated. [If this confused you, just trust me on this].

And it is pretty icky so use a pantiliner [sp?] and just carry around pads/tampons with you at school. Shove htem in your bag or a purse. And if you don't have any on hand, I'm sure the school nurse will have some in the clinic bathroom.

And putting a tampon while you're not on your period is not such a good idea. It would hurt like crazy to take it out because it's going to be dry. And just think: having something up in there for no real reason just doesn't give you that whole sanitary feeling. So wear a pantiliner and carry around pads or tampons with you at school just incase.

My bf and I have had sex multiples times and all we use is the condom. I'm pretty sure we were protected enough because we did the pull out method and no cum was in the condom. There were only a couple of times were he did cum in it. If you're not getting any signs of pregnancy and your period is late, being late for 2 days isn't a big deal. Just chill and stay stress free and you'll get your period.

Seeing that you can't face him, you were not ready and you were/are embarrassed. You can tell yourself that it wasn't rape but from what I've read, it sounds like rape. You weren't ready and you didn't give him consent. Even if you didn't tell him to stop, it's rape.

The columnist underneath me obviously doesn't know what she is talking about. Those are called pregnancy tests [EPT is a well known brand] and you don't stick it up in your vagina. You pour a little bit of your urine in a slit like thing. Periods are irregular and no matter how regular yours is, it may be affected by lack of sleep, stress, and etc. But 2 and a half weeks is a pretty long time. You should definitely get a pregnancy test or go to a clinic near you and let them do tests on you. Your parents won't have to know about it, either.

Well, it's definitely NOT child molestation. If it was, you'd be 18+ and you guys would be having sex by force or without force.

However, where I live [VA] the law says that touching intimate body parts of a person younger than age 13 or having them touch yours, or sexual intercourse with a person younger than age 13, even with the person's consent is considered a felony. So you should watch out for that. People are biast against everything: especially if the age difference is 5 years and if the younger person is age 10. Let me tell you now, though, that when a 15 year old guy is after a 10 year old girl, it seems pretty bad.

You guys need to work this out between you two first. Make a deal that no matter what, you guys will remain at the least friends.

Started dating 22 year old. We met when I was hanging out iwth some older friends, he assumed i was their age. I told him after we started dating so i know he is not intentionally dating underage...my only real concern now is the legal repercussions. I'm in VA, where the age of consent is 18. He is in MD, where it is 16. We are not having sex but i think the law also implicates just kissing, pda, etc. unless i'm wrong? So should i only try and see him in MD/DC where it is legal for us to? But then again, there are also laws, contributing to the delinquincy of a minor or something, that makes it illegal to cross state boarders with people of legal age...can't find anything case specific online.

i have a really distorted view of healthiness. i have one egg (only the white part and maybe like a bite of the yolk..its hardboiled), some yogurt and fruit for lunch, and a pretty good dinner, but i really limit myself on what i'll eat..and barely any sweets. i'm SO afraid that even if i have a couple cookies or something, i'll get fat. could someone please set me straight on this distorted view on healthy eating? like what kind of diet will make you fat, and what won't?

for a reference, i'm 15/f and about 128-130 pounds (5' 7"). and i'm athletic..so i don't think weight is really a problem right now. i just am so afraid of getting chubby or fat.

Well, to get accurate facts and information, I suggest you go see a nutritionist.

Other than that:
Skipping meals and taking too low of an intake of calorie will actually make your body keep the food it eats because it won't know when the next small amount of food it can use for eneergy will come in.

The BEST and only diet that will work is to eat healthy [LIMIT junk foods] like veggies and fruits & exercise regularly. And it seems like you're doing well with the exercise part. Just work on what you eat =)

my friend is a maniac and likes to inflict pain. he has tried to commit suicide multiplye times. i want to get him help, who should i report him too. he needs serious mental health and he is a serious danger to himself and others around him

Definitely alert his parents first. If they don't take any steps, alert a school administrator. It's great that you want to get help for him =)

I was suppost to get my period Friday and it's Sunday and still hasn't come. Is this normal? I got my firt period during summer so is it still irregular? I usually get it every 28 days but it's late for some reason. Is this normal?

It's normal =) chillax. Most people's periods aren't regular. It may come few days early or late. Since you've had it for less than a year, it's normal that it's irregular.

But it you skip about 3 months consecutively, you may want to go to the doctor...and if you do extreme sports, that might effect it.
