I believe I have OCD. I was reading online to look up some symptoms and I seem to meet them all. I am 14/ f and I was wondering how I should bring it up with my mom. I am going to the doctors on Monday for a physical so I can play sports so how should I ask my mom to bring it up? (link)

You bring it up to your doctor. I'm sure the doctor will ask you questions and probably give you a chance to ask your own. Let them know what you are feeling. :)

I am having arthoscopic knee surgery in a week to repair some ligaments. I am 15 .. this is my first surgery. i am soooo nervous! if any of you have had it, or know someone who has had it, could you maybe tell me what to expect? like, how long on crutches, and how much will it hurt? My husband had it done for a torn meniscus. He was there maybe 5 hours. They told him to get crutches but he never used them. He was getting around and back to work in a couple of weeks.
I realize your surgery could be more extensive, but it is really remarkable what the can do these days. His pain was also not bad. They gave him meds but he only used them a couple of days. :)

You need to tell your mom and get to a doctor. Pin worms are contagious. Won't be fun if the entire family catches them! :)

Yes it is normal for them to get all crusty and will even crust your eyes shut in the middle of the night! Hopefully you have medication for it because it is hard to get rid of. Also very contagious. :)

OKAY, here it goes...! K, i fell down the stairs at my school last week, on Monday. I dont think i really broke or sprained anything, but i hit my head really hard on the tile floor, and the stairs( i was at the top and fell to the bottom). Now, almost a week later, i feel lightheaded, and dizzy... is it from the fall? should i consult my doctor?! (link)

Yes. Consult your doctor. Head injuries can be strange things and not all injuries show up right away. It may be nothing, but why chance it.

You could have her look at the TV guide and send her a video tape of some of the shows she thinks looks interesting.

You can't talk to a drug user. That drug is way more important than you are. Talk to her mom. If that doesn't work, then like someone said before me...keep telling people until someone listens.

i love my best friend to death and I REALLY dont want to disobey her trust. see a while ago she told me all this stuff about how she has another world she can escape 2 and sometimes she feels like she doesnt know who she is. she sometimes even, she says, forgets her name. shes already tried talking to her parents and a therapist, and her parents have tried giving her pills. all of it, she says, just make her feel worse, like shes insane. she has a lot of friends, gets good grades, in whole leads a very normal life and acts perfectly normal. we didn't mention this for a while, but over the weekend i went down with her family to the beach. saturday night she started randomly dancing in the sand, running and spazzing randomly all over the place, inchined way to close to the firework display just so, as she put it, she could be close to the sea, and wrote the name's of random people we no in the sand. all of this is very unlike her, and i at the time half-jokingly asked her "if she was here as herself" she wudnt answer me for a while and then very quietly said "who else would i be" and then wouldnt answer any more questions. later that night i asked what was going on and she wouldnt tell me. one of our other friends was there, who doesnt no everything i no and said shes fine stop overreacting. iasked her if she "promised" she was fine (promise is our trust word) and she wouldnt promise. i tried talking her into talking to me cuz i just wanted to help, I didnt want her to go through whatever it was alone. she wouldnt say anything. the next morning everything was back to normal. i dont know what to do and i cant tell anyone because i REALLY REALLY REALLY cant betray her trust like that. please help. As much as I know you want to help her and still keep quiet about her behavior you just can't. It isn't helping her at all and that is just way to much responsibility for you to carry around on your shoulders.
You cannot be her keeper. You can't babysit her 24/7. She needs help you aren't able to provide.
Tell whoever will listen. Hopefully she will get the professional help she desperately needs.
And don't feel guilty. She may get mad at first but in the long run she will see you helped her. :)

my best friend just told me shes bi. i always kind of thought that because she always tries stuff with me and our friends. it makes us uncomfortable and we always tell her to stop. but now she told me that me and another one of our friends turned her bi...and its creeping me out. i dont want to be a bad friend and stop talking to her, especially because we have to spend the next week together at camp, but after that i'm probably going to hang out with her less. i'm not trying to be rude and judge her, but that just really freaks me out. please dont tell me i am being a bad friend, because thats not what im asking. i need to no how i can make it seem less weird when im around her for the next week at camp, and how i can not talk to her as much after camp without it being obvious that the reason is because she is bi. and also my whole family thinks shes annoying and i do too, and although she is one of my best friends i have always thought about maybe trying to make more friends in high school next year and not really talking to her that much anymore. so it wouldnt be a big deal if we werent as great of friends i think. sorry if that sounds mean. but please help me!!! thanks. btw im 14/f (link)

You're not being rude, she is. Nobody has the right to make you uncomfortable around them like shes doing. Male, female, straight, Gay or Bi.
Same rules apply to all. You don't sound mean and you have every right to choose to hang out with friends who do not make you feel uncomfortable. :)

You should tell Kay about it. If her sister finds out and doesn't like then its really just to bad. They didn't work out and people need to move on.
If you just let Kay find out from others your friendship is going to suffer. She will wonder why you didn't tell her yourself. She will be mad that she found out after everyone else already knew about it.
If Kay doesn't like it then its to bad. Unless you intend to drop your boyfriend because she has a fit about it don't let it worry you. She will get over it eventually if shes any kind of friend. :)

My friends birthday is on monday and she's turning 18. They all want to go to a hooka bar. She said you don't have to do it, its just fun going down and watching people do it.
I've never been to a hooka bar so I don't know much about it. I know what it is, but is it bad for you? Also, I don't know if my parents will be up for it so how do I tell them. It is simply a tobacco bar. Smoking is allowed.
So if you are old enough to smoke cigarettes you can smoke there. If you aren't old enough and don't smoke, then you will probably not have a good time.
You may as well tell your parents because you will probably come home smelling like an ashtray.
You won't notice but they sure will.

dramatic about it.
Smoking of course causes all kinds of nasty things according to our government. So depending on your point of view you can be harmed by the smoke. You would have to be of age to smoke. So at least 18. If they serve drinks, probably 21. :)

Ok, so my best friend is with her second boyfriend ever. The first one only lasted a couple weeks and it wasn't really serious. She has been with the one she's with now since December. Well, they are wicked, wicked serious about each other and I've come to accept that and even be happy for her because she's finally happy again. But this has kinda started to get too far. Her boyfriend asked her to marry him when they become of age and she pretty much said yes. I guess I'm kinda concerned that she's throwing her life away over her second boyfriend. But the major problem with me comes from the age. I'm only 14/f, she's same as me, and he's 15/m. It freaks out alotof our friends because true love at this age is so rare. I'm sure it is only concern. You know what though? If it isn't meant to be it will fizzle out way before they are "of age".
So, to keep the friendship in good shape just don't bring it up. If she does, just say thats nice and change the subject whenever possible. It will all take care of itself. You never know what might happen. :)
