I recently was told by a doctor I have an eating disorder. I'm 5'7", and weight 105 lbs. She said I am still growing and should weigh about 125. I haven't had my period for like 7 months!! I told my doctor that too. But, the thing is, I didn't start losing weight until November. My mom's gonna take me to a nutritionist soon to tell me how I should be eating. But I'm scared I messed up my body & will never get my period back, or that I caused my breasts to never grow again. Could I have caused those 2 things? PLEASE be HONEST! Thanks
Yes you could have caused those things by not getting enough nutrition. But as you improve your diet,you will start growing again. At least you are getting help now. You will start feeling better soon if you work at it. Sometimes gaining weight is as hard as losing it. Don't be scared, just try to be smarter.

I volunteered at a community center and helped with swimming lessons during the summer. Think of something related to your hobby or what you might want to be when you grow up. That may guide you into something interesting.
Some intial thoughts-soup kitchen, pet rescue service, candystriper, battered women's shelter, beautification project, trail marking/maintenance. You are only limited by your imagination.

One guy.. hes my step-dads girlfriend's son. He saw me over the summer when i was dating his cousin. Well i went to his house friday night to pick up his mom with my dad. On the way home to drop me off at my moms house.. my dads girlfriend told me that her son likes me and all his friends want to meet me. I guess he tells his friends how pretty i am to him and stuff like that. But i dont think im very pretty at all.
Then theres this guy im going out with, since yesterday at work. (i work with him)
We liked each other for a while now. But anyways, i really like him, but if something happens between us then i dont want us to stop talkin or anything like that. Should i tell him that if something ever happens between us, we cant stop talking and/or being friends?

okay im 13/female. and i have BIGG mood swings. like even when im not on IT. like one sec. i will be all happy and laughing w. my friends. and then the next i will be crying.. or i will be talking to peole online.. and my mom asks me to do something.. and i go totally pissy. and it seems like my parents dont want me to be happy. like every time im happy, they make me pissed off. and i NEED diet coke to keep me hapy. so..here are my questions.. 1) what can i do to prevent these mood swings 2) why do i feel like my parents dont want me to be happy and 3) why do i need diet coke.. and drinking diet coke, can it hurt me? thanks to all who answer this!
The mood swings are part of the hormones of being a teenager. Just try to center yourself on reality. Parents make rules so that we can grow up to be decent human beings. This goes against the natural need to rebel and become more independent of out parents. Diet coke has lots of caffeine and probably aren't helping your mood swings. Try to cut down to one of those a day. Caffeine also sometimes makes PMS even worse. Be sure to drink other things, especially water.

I'm 14 years old, female and in the 9th grade. I've been sick for 4 1/2 months now, out of school and everything with an illness called colitis which is a disease in your large intestine and causes constant trips to the bathroom...it's embarassing yeah, but it's not like i picked to have this. Anyways, i would have thought being sick would bring me and my friends closer together but really, it ripped us apart. My best friend, or at least thought she was my best friend, completely ditched me 24/7 and said some really mean things to me and she lives right down the street from me and not once outa the 4 months did she come to my house to just visit with me and whenever she needs me, i'm ALWAYS there for her and like i wanna end the friendship cuz she is just a complete b**** like you wouldn't believe but the thing is, its hard to end the friendship as much as i wanna cuz i have so much fun with her. I need advice on what to do!! It's been driving me crazy for months on what to do and i just don't know anymore...:/
Believe it or not, I actually was freaked out when I was a teenager when one of my friends had to be admitted to the hospital for severe depression. I asked about her everyday, but I made no effort to see her because I was scared. This happens to young people who don't know how to deal with how they feel about their friend.
So this is what happened: I admitted to her that I was sorry that I didn't visit, write, or call. I told her I was having a hard time with it. It took a little while, but things got better. I really do think she forgave me (unfortunately I can't ask her now because she died of a heart attack in 2000). The next time she was in the hospital, I made sure to visit.
Here is what I suggest. Tell her that you feel like you have been abandoned. Forgive her. She probably didn't really mean to be so selfish, or she was so worried about you that she felt she needed to distance herself. Be the bigger person and hopefully things will work out.

Ok I feel like the sole person in this response. She could very well get pregnant even though her period has started. You don't always release just one egg. I admit it is less likely. Pulling out is not a good manner of birth control. A penis is like a gun, always loaded.
Please be more careful. It doesn't take a huge effort just to get one little condom when it could save your life and/or a lot of heartache.

I am in my fifties and have been married for 25 years. My husband's family, who all live within 20 miles of us, are very close, except for the relationship between our family and the others. We are frequently excluded, especially by the one brother's wife from get-togethers, celebrations, etc. The other three sisters-in-law go shopping, take short trips together, etc.; in 25 years I've been asked one time. Our children are also basically ignored, but not as badly. My husband does get asked for the guy things, but I am totally left out of the group my mother-in-law calls "the girls." About 15 years ago my husband and I separated for a short time and I was estanged from the family for about a year after that, since it was the separation was at my prompting.
But that was a long time ago and the problems really existed prior to that. I'm at the point now of feeling really, really tired of feeling hurt by it and want to just see my husband's parents occasionally by ourselves, and forget the rest of the family. Is this out of line or should I just keep swallowing my pride and acting like all of this doesn't hurt. One sister-in-law that I'm closer to than the others asked the other two one time if they'd call me for one shopping trip and got as far as, "Well, we'll see if we ever ask her."
You might consider asking your husband to talk to them as to how left out you are feeling. Since it's his family, he should be the one to bring it up.
Have you thought about inviting them over for a coffee or get together once in a while? The phone works both ways. If you go out of your way to include them, they would be more apt to return the favor. And besides, you will get to know them and enjoy one another's company.

My dog barks at the slightest movement or sound. He chases my four cats around and when hes on a walk he chases cars. He is a Border Collie, so it is natural for him to try to herd things. He is so out of control sometimes that he will see the neighbor dogs from the inside window and will throw himself at the window, barking like a maniac. What do you suggest I do?
Maybe he needs someone to play with. Another dog or even a turtle. He seems to need a little more free time. Maybe you should consider getting him either a friend or a little bit o exercise.

It's probably the stress of moving and losing a friend that actually caused you to fight. Just make up with her, and make sure she has your forwarding address. Tell her that you still care about her even though you are moving and hope to visit some in the future. Don't leave these bad feelings hanging.

My boyfriend says that I ignore him! And I don't think I am! I talk to him whenever I see him and between almost every class and everything! I dunno if because usually my friends are around he doesn't want to talk or what. I've tried talking to him more and talking to him when no one else is around. Is he just like really shy or what? Maybe he needs someone to listen for a while? Ask him what he thinks he needs. It doesn't sound like you are ignoring him. Maybe you two need to spend some one on one time for a little bit. He just may miss having a few hours with all of your attention.

Hello everyone i have a grandpa ( sorta ) well he doesnt talk to me ever i try calling him to see if he would like help around his house and garden and stuff but he says no ill ask katie to do that. On Forth of July last year i was trying to help clean up and then mii cousin ran in and spilled water all over the gradage on top of me so when she was sitting in there i did it to her and i got "grounded" to my grandpas basement by my grandpa. I hate it when grandparents chose favorites. It could possibly affect you for the rest of your life. Ask your mom or dad to talk to them for you about showing favoritism (whoever's dad it is) and make him understand how it feels. My grandmother did that to all of us cousins, and we really aren't close because of it.

There are many different factors that can affect your period to make it late: change in diet, exercise, or emotion. I usually have one period that is really heavy and the next month it might be lighter. If you are very young, it can be intermittent for a year or so. If you continue to have problems, you can go to the gynecologist for help. They can actually prescribe birth control to make it less heavy and more regular.

Okay my little sister asbolutely refuses to go to school she wants to drop out thing is shes not 16 is there anyway she can drop out before shes 16? My parents and I have tryed everything even bribing her to go to school and it doesnt work. So is there anyway she can drop out before shes 16? If so please explain in details. If you drop out of school before 18 in my state, you cannot get a driver's license. It could be possible that if she doesn't go, her parents go to jail or get fined. Yeah, try talking to a school counselor because something is wrong with her.

Don't worry about it. They will be too busy taking their test to be social. Think of it as practice for when you take either the ACT or SAT test because you would most likely not know those people either.

Okay this is all very confusing, I'm sorry and I hope it doesn't make ya'lls head spin but here is my problem.
I made out with a guy totally unaware that he had a girlfriend.
Well recently, I got in contact with his brother, and she was over there. I mentioned something to his brother about us making out, in jest. She got on and immediatly asked me if whatI say is true.
I said, yes. It was. I wasn't gonna lie.
She told me that they'd been dating for three years straight, and she thought she might be prengnat. HE told me nothing of the sort, that she was just a friend.
After much hassle, she called me and told me she'd confront him about it. She did, and he denied it, and she told me "I don't believe you, I trust him."
Things are blowing up, random friends of hers are IMing me like crazy, and his brother is sort of half and half beleving me, yet feeling dedication towards his brother.
Of course the whole attention thing is on them..its oh "Krista* made a big deal about it.." "OH krista is trying to ruin a relationship" when that totally wasn't my view or anything.
How can I help what she saw? I think its been hurting me more then it has them. What do I do?

I would have so got up and walked out of the room while slamming the door. That's just disgusting. You need to confront them and tell them how you feel. Then go find some real friends that would never do that kind of crap to you. I admit it's hard balancing the boyfriend/friend thing, but they aren't even trying. Maybe they will see the light when their lives are all screwed up and their hearts are broken.
