I use Tampax tampons.
Except I use pads at night times. (:

I find pads gross and uncomfortable, no matter what the adds on TV say. Ew. <3

S_C answered Sunday March 21 2010, 12:29 am:
I use both pads and tampons. It depends on how heavy my flow is. I don't like wearing tampons to bed because even though it's easier to leak while sleeping with a pad, sleeping with a tampon in makes me uneasy.

Brands for pads, I suggest Always or Stayfree. For tampons I really like tampax pearl ... my big suggestion for tampons is to NOT use the cardboard ones ... it's so much easier/comfortable to use the plastic applicator tampons.

Age answered Friday March 12 2010, 3:50 am:
I only wear tampons.
For years, when I was younger, I used pads and I will never go back. They leak easy and feel really uncomfortable.
For tampons, I find it's best to not to go with the cheaper ones. I personally like platex sport the best.
For pads, I think I used Always and for pads, they were my favorite.

tampons are 20x better. they're more comfortable and you don't feel anything. i don't know how i've ever lived without them haha. i use tampax pearl they're probably the easiest to put in and i've never had a leak or anything. definetly recommended!

nikkibaybeex answered Friday November 27 2009, 6:52 am:
Pads or tampons?

You can use whatever one you feel comfortable wearing. With pads you can see when you need to change but sometimes they get all scrunched up or out of place leading it to stain your underwear, where as tampons dont feel as if thier there and you dont have to worry about it staining your underwear.
They are both very simple to change.

Its just down to your personal choice and how you feel about each one.

christina answered Sunday November 15 2009, 11:20 am:
I, myself, usually use tampons. I used pads up until I was about 16, and I absolutely hated them. I felt every leak, it felt like wearing a diaper, and I was much more likely to leak through my clothes.

Tampons are really comfortable, and very absorbent. The best brand of tampons is definitely Tampax Pearl. I use the scented ones just because they're awesome. Tampax Pearl is kind of pricey, but it's because it's the best brand out there, and you pay for quality.

The only thing you need to be careful with is TSS. Toxic Shock Syndrome comes from using tampons. You'll only get it if you wear them constantly and don't switch back & forth between a pad & a tampon. If you wear a tampon when you're not on your period, you're at more of a risk but I think if you're smart about it, you have a high chance of not getting it. So, if you do decide to wear tampons, make sure you research on TSS a little so you know what precautions to take to keep yourself safe. :)

its really all up to you. are you more athletic or more laid back.

when i was dancing and playing volleyball and tennis i always used tampons. for me playtex workd the best because they are flexible.

if you are less busy and more laid back use pads because the are comfortable and less of a "hastle"
but whatever you feel more comfortable using you can use. for pads i use always

I use tampons. Tampax Pearl is one of the best brands there is. They have scented ones, and they smell really good.

I don't really like pads, but when using tampons you must switch back & forth because tampons can cause TSS which is a rare, but serious disease. It can be fatal if you wear or deal with a tampon improperly.

But I definitely recommend Tampax Pearl. Get the scented ones. :)

Tampons are wayyyy more discreet and easier to handle. Tampex pearl is the BEST! Make sure you read the precautions thoroughly though because it is better to wear them when you are active. Pads are better for the house and sleep. Hope I helped :)

well I use pads usually because tampons hurt me /:
but because of school and stuff I normally were tampons... I would go for this one tampon called Platex Glide.. I think? well it's really good and it doesn't hurt. whatever you do just don't get ones that are too big, I had that once... I still shudder at the memory of that pain.

I use tampons. I absolutely hate pads & haven't used them in 2 years. I used pads up until I was 16 but I used a tampon & have completely stopped using pads ever since.

Anyways, I really like Tampax Pearl. I use the scented ones because they keep you smelling fresh & the applicator is very smooth so it's easier to get it. It's a very comfortable tampon and it's a good brand. :) I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

However, if you do decide to use tampons, then you must remember TSS. Toxic Shock Syndrome is a serious & fatal disease. It can happen when you use the wrong tampon absorbency or when you leave a tampon in for too long. You should only leave them in for 6-8 hours. It's better if you switch to pads every so often when on your period.

Pads are better for younger girls and usually, younger girls use them. Once we get older though, most of us switch to tampons because they're easier.

As for brands- Kotex is good.

Tampons. I used pads for about two months before switching and never went back. They take a while to get used to but they are much less obstructive and more comfortable than pads. I use Tampax. If you're just starting out using them then they do a special range which are designed for starters. They are slimmer and smaller to help you get used to them.

and you can't really feel them

pads just feel like diapers.

if you get pads use always, they're really good.
(:

and if you use tampons
use playtex sport
if you're active
because it's cheaper than most
and it stays in place. (:

i only use playtex tampons in general, though.

MARISSAX33 answered Sunday July 26 2009, 3:42 pm:
Hahah, well it always depends on what kind of period you have. My period is always very heavy the first few days. Like, I'm talking REALLY heeavy. So I'm forced to wear pads majority of the time, because tampons just don't cut it for me...and If I do wear tampons then I have to keep changing them every hour...which doesn't happen. I always use the brand 'Always' And I usually go with the overnight ones for everyday. But, again, I'm not sure how your period is. If it's lighter you can get the lighter version pads. I use Always for tampons as well. I go for the regular size.

I usually use pads, but that's just me. You can use whatever works best for you, or whatever is more comfortable for you. I personally prefer pads. If you go swimming, then you might wanna use a tampon. You've probably seen many commercials on tv, but I would recommend Always or Kotex. You can always talk to your mom, she can give you some great advice too!

Hope I helped! :)

I personally use pads.
But, tampons can come in handy when you want to go swimming or be more comfortable when playing sports.
I like Always for pads and I also hear Playtex and Kotex are good tampon brands too.
For me i think pads are easier and more simple.
But my friends say that you can't even feel your tampon after you put it in.
There is no better choice of pads or tampons.
It just depends on the person.
I hope this helps.

prettyinpink16 answered Wednesday July 22 2009, 2:58 pm:
hi (:

i usually use pads.
they;re just easier to change and you don't have to worry about leaving them in for too long really.
if you leave a tampon in for longer then about 6 hours,
you could get a serious infection or disease.
which means it;s harder to wear them while your sleeping.
but if you play sports or swim
they can be really handy.

always and tampax are the brands i use
they're probablly two of the most popular ones
and they come in different sizes, flows and shapes,
even pads for thongs or when you're sleeping.
however if you don;t like the feeling of pads
which some people don't and your comfortable and able to change your tampon often,
use tampons ! (:
a lot of people use them and it works great .

hope that helped your decision a bit !
