MummuM answered Tuesday November 1 2005, 2:15 pm: You don't have to. If you feel comfortable with a bra on, while sleeping, leave it on. It's not going to harm you. Personally, I like having my bra off, while sleeping. Just because I've been wearing it all day, it feels good to get out of it, once in a while. But it's whatever floats your boat. ♥ [ MummuM's advice column | Ask MummuM A Question ]

yourperfectdisaster answered Sunday October 30 2005, 7:21 pm: It's recommended that you SHOULD take it off, I guess you don't have to if you don't want to. But I've been told that you're breasts will not grow as fast if the bra is on. Also, I found this from [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) ::
"bra-wearing has been linked to breast cancer in a study done by Sidney Ross Singer and Soma Grismaijer. They found, for example, that women who wore a bra 24 hours a day had a 113-fold increase in breast cancer incidence compared to women who wore bra less than 12 hours daily! They suggest that bras exert enough pressure to the breast and surrounding areas to inhibit the flow of lymph, which then lets toxins and other waste material to remain in the breasts instead of being flushed out."
"It's a total myth that sleeping with a bra on causes cancer. We've heard that rumor, but it's not true! According to Dr. Nardone, no study supports the association between breast cancer and wearing a bra to bed. However, you should go braless for a few hours every day just so the breasts aren't restricted. Let them air out already!"
Sherry answered Sunday October 30 2005, 7:06 pm: Well it's reccomended that you do. At first I would sleep with my bra all the time and nothing happened. But now it just annoys me so I take it off. So it really doesnt matter. As long as your comfortable you can sleep in it. [ Sherry's advice column | Ask Sherry A Question ]

honestymatters answered Sunday October 30 2005, 1:41 am: Dear Is it true,
I think most of the other Advicenators said it! I really like sillyrob's advice. I will tell you that it is not good for your bra to be worn for more than 18 hours at a time. Sleeping in your bra will stretch it out and shorten the life of it. You could go through bras faster. I don't think anyone else mentioned that to you yet. Stay Honest. Happy Halloween :)
iSpEaKsPaNiSh answered Sunday October 30 2005, 12:27 am: it doesn't make a difference at all. it matters what kind of bra you are wearing though. if it has any kinda of underwire or anything it might dig into you and not be the most comfortable..but i wear one to bed that is just the most comfortable thing ever..just because its easier and at sleepovers i get self-conscious about it. if you are comfortable in yours..go for it. if not, take it off. whatever you prefer. karenR answered Sunday October 30 2005, 12:04 am: I don't think there is a right or wrong to that question.
I think most prefer not to just because it is more comfortable that way.
*ashlee* answered Saturday October 29 2005, 11:48 pm: well supposedly it can cause health problems of some sort, but i dont think its a proven fact. i take mine off because its just more comfortable, so do what you feel best doing. [ *ashlee*'s advice column | Ask *ashlee* A Question ]
Mackenzie answered Saturday October 29 2005, 11:43 pm: There is no rule that says you must, because there isn't a scientificly proven fact declaring that sleeping with or without a bra is harmful. Just do whatever you're comfortable with. (: [ Mackenzie's advice column | Ask Mackenzie A Question ]
ChOcOLoLo answered Saturday October 29 2005, 11:39 pm: hey there! yes it is true that you should take off your bra before you go to sleep, because some people believe that it can contribue to breast cancer or other health problems if left on while sleeping in the future. however, it's mainly up to your discretion.
