Hi my name is Angel, that's my real name. I'm a young adult now, I've had this advice column for years, but I made another one under the name anq3l_xo when I thought I couldn't access this one. A little bit about myself. I am a student, both in college and high school. I work as a nanny part time. I want to be a lawyer when I "grow up." I believe I've done a lot of growing up in my short life. I have conquered an obsession over drugs and alcohol in the last year and a half. I'm sober now and I wouldn't trade that for the world. I'm happy now. I'm in an absolutely blessed relationship with someone that I truly care about and love with all of my heart. I have been through things that you kids have nightmares about. I have seen, heard, and witnessed a lot of things that would make full grown men cry. I believe that I am innocent now, because I don't live that old lifestyle anymore. I have a lot of experience in a lot of things, and I've always been good at shedding light on dark situations. I come from a broken family, so I have step, half whatever siblings, and I just recently reunited with my real mother after she abandoned me 10 years ago. I have amazing friends today, but it wasn't always like that. I have a wonderful boyfriend and a great relationship with him, but let me tell you, it wasn't always like that. My sister is a drug addict/ alcoholic of the worst type. She's my best friend in the entire world, and I hope this 14 year old girl doesn't have to go through what I went through. I've come to understand that I can't help her, but I can help others through advice and by being of service to people around me. okay. i like this guy alot. We flirt alot, and he gave me his sn once. Well, he has a gf. he gets on every few weeks *almost every girl in school likes him* but he still flirts with me. But, i'm afraid to IM him i get nerve and afriad to emmbarrasse myself! should i? i mean he gave me his sn! and how to I NOT get nerve before i talk to him?!?!?!

Just when you're totally comfortable, just IM him and be like "hey is this (name)?" and then he`ll say "yeah whos this" then be like "Oh hey its (name), you gave me your sn, wutsup?" and just treat him like any other person. He will be able to tell if your nervous, don't type so fast that it overwhelms him, and don't answer right away, that way it just seems like, chill. I hope I helped. Good luck -Angel

im 14/f and i really want my belly button peirced! i finally got my mom to say yes its just my dad. he says he doesnt want me to get infected and thinks im too young but i told him id clean it alot and everything but he still doesnt know. how do i get him to say yess?? pleasee helpp

Make a deal with him, show him the advantages, and disadvantages, show him how you will keep it clean, you have to soak it in saltwater every day for 20 minutes, you'll use saline solution to clean it every day too. You will do exactly what the piercer says, he may or may not know, but talk to your mom, have her convince him. Beg and plead, you'll probably get your way. You need to find out what is making you sad and lonely inside, for me, I know that it's because I don't really have a mom, and that's my emptiness. The emptiness is usually from something you lost, or want. As soon as you figure out what is bothering you inside, you can always come to me for help. I just have a quick question, shouldn't take long.

See, I'm wanting to lose some weight in the tummy area, but... I've heard that if you work out a lot, your breast size drops. I'm a C cup, and I like it that way. Any tips on things I can do that will drop weight in the stomache and nowhere else?

There isn't really anything you can do, maybe crunches that just focus on the stomach, you should look that up, or go to a gym and ask for a trainer, I know that low-carb diets work for that, but I don't know if it will make your cup size drop. ok, at my dads house my brother and sister constantly make fun of me. last night they kept calling me a pig, and a special ed. and they will pysically abuse me sometimes. and they call me "g" casue i listen to rap music. and they like sing a song about me eating all the time. they are really mean. and i don't do anthing to them, and i tell my dad and he sazys either, i start it or get over it, or say something back, but when i say something back he says i start it!! what do i do?? please help!

Get revenge, sweet revenge. You shouldn't be treated like that, really get to them though, in front of their friends or something so that it really traumatizes them, then they will NEVER think of making fun of you again. Trust me, it works pretty damn well. Hope I helped. -Angel

The best thing to do is to tell him how you feel, whether you want to or not, who knows? maybe he has feelings for you too. I have this freind and I have known her for about 2 years now. She is getting to be very braty and braggy. She is sooo spoiled and gets everything she wants. Maybe she's not a good friend of yours, but everyone has a friend that they have to hang out with that they don't like, its just one of those things that you have to overcome, maybe you could be nice to her, be the bigger person. well, maybe if you spent less time together, you would grow fonder of eachother. "time makes the heart grow fonder" or, if things aren't really working out, you could talk to him about it, or break it off with him. My aunt got me this beautiful bracelet with rubies and diamonds. And a necklace with 3 rubies. It looked REALY nice and i'm just wondering if anyone knows about how much it cost, it didn't look fake. Thanks for the help!

It really depends on how big the stones are and if the chain was silver/gold/whatever. It does sound pretty valuable. The two put together, it really depends, it could cost anywhere from $100-$500, It's hard to say. If I were you, I would take it to a jeweler. Hope I helped. -Angel

I've been using the crest whitestrips for about 2 days now and I was wondering if you like swallow does the bleach come off? and I don't know if I have swallowed most of the bleach, because everytime there was saliva in my mouth I'd lick my teeth and swallow. Also, what happens if you DO swallow the bleach on accident?

just lighten up, flirt with them, don't treat them how they treat eachother. You don't need to become barbie, just lighten up a little, smile, maybe wear more makeup? Do your hair, something, be a flirt, its really not as hard as it looks once you get started. Hope i helped. -Angel

ok. . . well dont consider it a diet first off, because then you will go back to eating and exercising normal and you will put it all back on, depending on your lifestyle now. So, consider it, a way of living. Eat healthy, low-carb food, and stay active, 20-30 minutes of cardio a day. Something reasonable and achievable. My guess is that you dont want to lose weight, you want to lose inches, and that would be the best way that I could think of doing it, it's also the most common weight-loss solution for kids that age. Try to stay away from high-starch foods like bread and pasta, rice, etc. Good food would be, most vegetables, most dairy and meat products. Your mom cant tell you how you feel, she may know you but she cant tell you how you feel about someone, so if you really feel like your in love with this boy, then go for it, it is totally possible, and actually, its a wonderful and beautiful thing, and personally, I'm happy for you.
