My friend recently got on the Depo-Provera shot. She got it on April 2nd. She lost her virginity around the end of March, and didn't use a condom. Her period was 3+ weeks late and she said it was really light and really short (not enough blood to use a tampon and only two days long.) Ever since then, she bleeds after she has sex. It's happened twice. The first time she said it was alot of blood, but nothing like period blood. The second time was tonight and she said it wasn't too much and it's always after she goes to the bathroom. I can tell she's worried even though she says she's not and I am worried for her. Can anyone tell me what they think is up? I will rate high! Thanks so much!

young grandma's got the right answer. Depo has some pretty nasty side effects for some people. Because Depo is a hormone, it changes her body's cycle so her period won't be the same as it was before- she might not have one, have a light one, or spot all throughout the month. However, to be on the safe side, your friend might want to try a pregnancy test. It will save her a lot of worrying.
As for bleeding after sex, seeing as it is your friends first couple times, it could simply be due to her hymen stretching. If it continues, she should visit the gynecologist.

hey im 15/f theres this guy in one of my classes that i have liked for a little over a year now. His locker is right by mine to. One of his friends said that he'd "bang me" so as in im okay. well this is a lesson you'll probably have to learn for yourself, but a guy who grabs your butt before you're dating along with many other girls butts, probably isn't worth dating.
That said, ask for his aim/msn whatever you young folks are using these days. Or if that's too weird, im your friend, invite him into the convo, under the pretense of homework or whatever, and have your friend leave. It's usually easier to talk to someone over the computer, because of the distance.
Another option could be to kind of plant the idea of you two together in his head. Get your friends to start saying things like "oh hahah Jessi says the exact same thing!" when he makes jokes or stuff.

okay, first of all you can't "get rid of your sinus", they're there to stay. When they are bothering you it's because they are stuffed, or you are suffering a sinus infection, allergies.
Smell a whiff of something like horse radish, or icy hot muscle relaxer, anything strong. If you can, buy some sinus medication, if not try not to sleep laying down, as that will make them worse.

you may not know this, but Augustus Caesar was a pretty important guy. All you have to do is LOOK. Background info, he was Julius Casesar's nephew. Julius had no sons, so he adopted Octavian to be his heir and successor. Upon adoption Octavian changed his name to Augustus, and was emperor of Rome. There's tonnes more out there, you don't say what you need to know. Do you need to know about his life? His role in building the Roman Empire? Augustus as a military leader? Google will tell you all.

alright well i had this pair of tights that were soo cute but they didnt fit anymore and so i cut the bottoms so they are like leggings but you can like tell i cut them and i wanna like sew up the bottom so it dont look like that but i dont have any needles or string lol any ideas on how to make it look like i didnt cut it? you can do this really easily without sewing. However, you do need to buy iron on hem tape. You can probably get it at Walmart for a couple of bucks. Fold the pants to wear you want the hem to go, put the tape/stick stuff on the inside of the hem, and iron over top. Volia, your pants are now hemmed.

16/f and I'm just very self concsious about my..ears. Theyre really..too big. People even tell me. I think I get them from my dad. I dont know. But its not like they stick out, the whole entire thing is just..big. Theyre about a centimetre away from being..3 inches. I used to be called dumbo when i was little and earrings always took bad on me. I dont want to get plastic surgery haha. But i just dont know what to do about me feeling so embarassed about them. I know that they are big becase people tell me..and pretty much the fact that theyre almost 3 inches long. What should i do? (link)

my ears are fairly large too. I found that having one hole in them just kind of pointed out how bare and fat the rest of my lobe was, so I now have three holes and my cartlidge done. It kind of draws the eye away from how big your ear is, and to the jewlery, plus leaves less skin visible. I usually stick to studs, usually sparklyish ones, because I still don't think I can pull of the dangly ones.
Other than that the only thing you can do is wear your hair down, or just laugh it off. I think it'd be better to start making a joke with it, beat them too the punch line that way they see you're comfortable with yourself, and nothing is more appealing than someone with self confidence.

try layering. Grab a couple plain long tanks (you can get them really cheap at Giant Tiger- Canadian store, Old Navy, Walmart etc, in a whole lot of colours). Toss one under your regular long sleeve tee, and it's a whole new outfit. When it gets warmer out you can even wear the tanks layered together.

However, it's not when your hymen 'breaks'. Your hymen merely stretches, and it bleeds a little. This most commonly happens the first time you have sex, which is why it is associated with virginity loss. However as said above, some girls stretch it others way, so it's not a really accurate indicator of virginity.

ok i keep getting these emails from Chase saying my chase bank account has been violated...the only problem is I dont have a chase bank account. Im not even old enough to have a bank account! IM 13! I suspect phishing becuase I got like 6 emails from them at the same time once saying someone tried to acsess my account, and then the first one I got from them saying my account has been violated, they spelled "been" wrong. spelling mistakes are a big clue that someone is a scammer. Obviously you know what to look for, so don't reply, and keep reporting them as junk.
You know that blue little frog at the top of the site? Download him. Dangernerd recommended blue security on the site news a little while ago, and he works. What he does is he reports spam, and has your email address blocked from the spammers lists.

So, me and my boyfriend just bought a house and the previous owners apparently never raked the leaves up, so the yard was full of leaves and trash and various poo's. Yesterday, we just got the last of the leaves raked up, and throughout noticed that there were a few piles of dog poo that weren't there the day before. I didn't think much of it, because I assumed that whoever left it just assumed that since the area was full of leaves and trash, that we wouldn't mind or notice a little "fertilizer".
But, today, just one day after getting the lawn trash and leaf-free, we noticed yet another pile of dog poo.
My questions are...
How can I catch whoever is letting their dog poo in our yard?
And, What should I do to make them stop?
Just so you know, the law in my town is a $500 fine for getting caught for not picking up after your dogs, but no one ever gets caught even though we live 50 feet from the police station. (link)

I don't think cameras are such a practical idea, but you can keep an eye out, or keep your front blinds open, because I know when I take my dog out, I'm not going to let him poop on someone's lawn if they're home. Hang out on your porch often, just say "hi" to your neighbours, if you get friendly, they'll probably stop this behaviour. However, if you do catch someone on your lawn, letting their dog go, politely ask them to stop, and pick it up.
If you can't find the neighbours who are allowing their dogs to use your yard, either put a sign that says "no tresspassing", or get one from a local landscaping company stating that you've just had your lawn sprayed with chemicals, insecticide whatever, even if you havent, as it will keep people off the lawn.
If all of these suggestions don't work, and you know who is doing the pooping, file a complaint with the police station. If the complaint about the waste doesn't go through, try complaining about the noise the dogs make in the neighbourhood; I've known several people who have actually been fined for their dogs barking. Either way will make the pet owners keep their dogs on a shorter leash.

tanning spray has a lower SPF in it, generally 4 or 8, so it's believed to help your skin tan better. If you don't reapply it, you will burn though.
However as the other advicenator said, you will still tan with a higher SPF, and you'll be better protected from UVA rays than with a tanning oil.
Sunless tanners are moisturizers, creams, sprays you put on to build up a gradually fake tan.

heyy! soo i was wondering which would kill my hair less..like not giving it more split ends and making it unhealthy?! putting gel in it..as in scrunching it lol or straightening it? because i either have to do one of those each day and im TRYING to keep my hair as healthy as possible..because it just doesnt seem to grow and i am tryin to get it long! well thanks :]

if you use the proper prodcuts, split ends won't be a huge issue.
Use a moisturizing shampoo, I find Dove works really well but shop around to find what you like (not Pantene though, as that puts a waxy coating on your hair). Gently pat your hair dry when you get out of the shower, and COMB it, use a detangler if you're prone to tangles. Do not brush your hair when it's wet unless you want really bad breakage. If you don't have to, don't blow dry your hair. Then style whatever way you want. If you are using a proper straightener, like a CHI, split ends won't be a huge issue. Just make sure your hair is really dry when you straighten it.
If you decide to crunch your hair, when you put the product in your hair wet, comb it through. Otherwise you will just have build up in several random areas.

What I ended up getting was almost 5inches cut off (its now above my shoulders) and these short looking bangs that barely reach my eyebrows.
What can I do with my hair? It won't all go up in a ponytail, and when it just hangs down it looks terrible. My face is not the right shape for this cut, but theres really nothing I can do to change that. Help! (link)

Go back to the hair dresser who cut your hair. Explain that you aren't happy with it, and aren't sure how to style it. She should fix it for free. It's your hair, and if she wants to keep your business she wants to keep you happy.

yes, it's a bad idea! First of all, when you have your period, your vagina is kind of wet, making it easier to put in. If you're trying to put in a tampon while you're dry, it's going to hurt more, and irritate the walls of the vagina.
It doesn't say whether or not you are leaving them in, but that's a very bad idea to do when you aren't mensturating because of Toxic Shock Syndrome.
Also you shouldn't wear tampons when you have your frist period because you don't know how heavy or long your flow will be, and therefore you won't know what strength tampons to use increasing your risk of Toxic Shock Syndrome.

They are not your tonsils! Your tonsils are on either side at the top of your throat, and are usually only visible when swollen due to sickness.
The hanging bit is your ulvua, and it's use is unknown, but it does cause snoring apparently.

Your stomach does not move. Your insides/guts whatever are arranged so they aren't just free floating around inside. Does your face move when you lay upside down? No, your stomach doesn't either.
While I don't know the exact reason for why you get that feeling, I know it is due in part to gravity, the cart goes down the hill, and your body is still waiting to catch up with it (you know how you usually end up floating a little bit above the seat, and then drop into it?).

ok, so i want to know how i can a better tan without going to a tanning salon. i've been getting tanner doing my school sports but its starting to turn into sunburn (even when i put sunscreen on) and it feels like its taking a long time. is there a lotion or something that will get me a fast, good looking tan? i perfer not to use make up.

lots of companies have come out with a moisturizer that gradually builds a tan- Dove and Jergens are some good ones. It's easy to apply, especially since you don't have to worry about streaks. While it's a fake tan, it comes along naturally, plus when you do have time to tan outside when the warmer weather occurs, you won't be super pale in your bathing suit.
Keep reapplying your sunscreen though, burns are painful, and not so good for your skin cancer and wrinkle odds in the future.

My boyfriend drinks. That I dont care about. Just as long as he is responsible. Well he goes out with a friend of ours and drink this his friend's freinds. It really kind of bothers me because they are girls. I have talked to him about it, and he has reassured me that he won't do anything to threaten us as a couple. But our mutual friend, whom he drinks with, says that he can't control himself. But, This friend is known to tell lies. What should I do? I don't trust the girls he drinks with. I trust him. why don't you go along? You don't have to drink, you can just hang out, but that way you get to see how your boyfriend acts firsthand when drunk.

i definitely know trampolines can be dangerous. But i want one so badly that i've been beging my parents for like 2 years. they still say i'll think about it but then when they do they say no, its dangerous. but i did some research and most of the injuries from trampolines are falling of them, but if you get a GOOOD Safety net, that will solve that problem. and the other injuries are mostly falling on the side where the springs are or landing improperly from doing stunts and stuff. the side has padding on most trampolines and trust me i'm too afraid to do those flips and stuff. how can i convince my parents that i will be extra safe and cautious with a trampoline? show your parents the research you've done, obviously you're committed to the idea. Also pull up some stuff on how it's a really good cardio exercise.
If it's possible, save some money. Give it to your parents and say I can pay for a third, or however much of the trampoline, I'll be responsible for it, and such. Before you buy the trampoline maybe set up guidelines for use, and go over it with other kids in your family, or put it on the fridge or something- like only one person on the trampoline per time, never jump unsupervised, no dangerous stunts, never use when wet, etc.
Until then maybe get one of those personal use exercise trampolines, just to show your parents how fun they are to use.
