Notso answered Friday April 21 2006, 10:29 pm: yes, it's a bad idea! First of all, when you have your period, your vagina is kind of wet, making it easier to put in. If you're trying to put in a tampon while you're dry, it's going to hurt more, and irritate the walls of the vagina.
It doesn't say whether or not you are leaving them in, but that's a very bad idea to do when you aren't mensturating because of Toxic Shock Syndrome.
Also you shouldn't wear tampons when you have your frist period because you don't know how heavy or long your flow will be, and therefore you won't know what strength tampons to use increasing your risk of Toxic Shock Syndrome. [ Notso's advice column | Ask Notso A Question ]
xoMarisox answered Friday April 21 2006, 10:25 pm: No, I think it's fine. Just make sure you are careful and read the instructions on the box! Just make sure you don't actually "wear" it. [ xoMarisox's advice column | Ask xoMarisox A Question ]
Razhie answered Friday April 21 2006, 10:10 pm: There is no real problem with practicing before you've started your period but you could irritate your vagina if you start practicing too often. Once or twice should be no problem, but tugging them out repeatedly will probably make you very uncomfortable. [ Razhie's advice column | Ask Razhie A Question ]

jeanine278972 answered Friday April 21 2006, 9:18 pm: Probably.. It would be kinda like having sex.. And you really cant practice. You won't really know if youve got it in right since theres nothing there to show if its working. [ jeanine278972's advice column | Ask jeanine278972 A Question ]
