That is always a bad sign. It could be the result of a few different things. I'm not a doctor, so I don't really know what they are. No matter what it is, you're going to have to see a doctor. Do it as soon as possible. This is serious. Good luck!

You don't say if the blood is bright or dark red. If it's bright red it's probably because you're a bit constipated and have strained to evacuate your bowels, causing a small tear. This is easily solved by including more fibre in your diet and drinking more water. If it's dark red it's come from further up the alimentary canal and should be investigated by a doctor. Basically the darker the blood, the further it has travelled. Dark blood could be caused by a variety of things so it does need to be checked out. Good luck.

my friend had the same problem. it happened because the poop had ripped through some of her tissue and it started bleeding. i think its because you are straining too hard. if you are, you might be constipated..

Could be you have a hemorrhoid. If it continues see a doctor. No matter what it is you should get it checked out. Anything different from the normal should always be checked.

Here is a website. Check it out and see if any of the symptoms match what is going on. :)
