First of all, you should see your doctor, to make sure you don't suffer from chronic sinusitis (fluid at the back of the sinuses) because if it happens a lot then it might be that. Failing that, you may have a sinus infection and antibiotics might do the trick.
If you've only had it for a day or two, you could see your pharmacist and get some tablets or a nasal spray. There's a lot out there to aid with sinus pain so it's worth a try but I would strongly recommend that if you're suffering for any more than 3 or 4 days, you should see your doctor. xobrittyxo answered Friday April 28 2006, 11:09 pm: do not lay down flat, stay elevated.. otherwise it gets worse.
next.. take a hot hot shower.. the steam unclogs ur sinuses and helps clear it up! scouts honor..
secret medicine: neosynephrine.
it's nose drops (i know, weird) that work so great. YOu just tip ur head back, squirt 2 or 3 drops in your nose, let it drip down your sinuses (keep your head tilted back). and within minutes, you can magically breath again.
I'm not kidding at all. This stuff is amazing. I use it everytime i have a cold or yucky stuff nose.
i can't think of anything else.
i HATE when my nose is stuffy.
sorries!

I have used sinus Excedrin with success.
A really hot shower can help too.
I liked MikeCFTs mustard idea....that would clear out anything. If not then you better go to a doctor because you are stuffed beyond belief!
Actually, try some of the ideas you've gotten so far,( By the way...easy on the mustard it is extremely hot!).
If nothing helps it though, see your doctor. More than likely at this time of year it is allergy related. But, if it is a sinus infection you may need an antibiotic in order to get rid of it. So if you are still having trouble a few days from now. See the doctor. :) [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]
Notso answered Friday April 28 2006, 7:43 pm: okay, first of all you can't "get rid of your sinus", they're there to stay. When they are bothering you it's because they are stuffed, or you are suffering a sinus infection, allergies.
Smell a whiff of something like horse radish, or icy hot muscle relaxer, anything strong. If you can, buy some sinus medication, if not try not to sleep laying down, as that will make them worse. [ Notso's advice column | Ask Notso A Question ]
