I have gone from younggrandma to just yg. Now,
I am using my real name.
I don't think anyone who knows me will have trouble figuring out who that is!

I have been gone a while dealing with things in my own life. I am back now to help once again. Do not expect answers from me that just tell you what you want to hear. Life is to short for nonsense. :)

Okay so to explain my situation; I like this guy, alot and he likes me too. He just came out of a 3 year relationship, the day before we met. we've become very close, perhaps best friends with some extent of physicaly contact. We were discussing our situation yesterday where I explained to him that I liked him and I knew he wasn't ready for another relationship but I was ready to wait. He came back with a comment on how he felt special that he was my first kiss and that if I wanted him to be another first (hint hint) then all I needed to do was ask. Okay so he JUST tells me he doesn't want to ruch into anything yet he offers me to have sex with him, my first time. I'm so confused! I know he was nice about it and said he didn't want to push anything onto me he just wanted to be open bout the idea, but this is serious. I obviously said no, but that doesn't change the fact that it was said. I don't know what to do. I like him, buut..

All this first time nonesense could be confusing for you guys, I am 18 by the way, just to clear up the possibility of me being a young teen. (link)
Keep in mind that women see sex as being
a part of a loving relationship (most women).
Men see it as sex. Most don't need the
love connection that most women want. I
don't think you should be offended, just
beware that he doesn't see it the same
as you do & is just wanting to have no
strings attached sex.

So, I don't advise having your first time
with someone where the love is lacking.
Give the relationship time. If nothing
comes of it, you'll be glad you waited.

I am dating this guy, he is really a great guy we have been togehter for about 3yrs, but i don't know whats wrong with me. My quesstion is? i don't have any feelings for him like i used to, i don't want to have sex with him either, the only time i can be around him is when i drink. Is there something wrong with me? can some one help me? I dont want to loose him but i am worried, thank you. (link)
If you have to be drunk to tolerate someone,
the romance is over! Just break up with him
and find someone new. People change and their
partners don't always change along with them.
Better it happen now than later. I know it
will be hard to do, after 3 years he's like
a habit! But you really need to find another
guy. :)

18/f. I graduated from high school this past May but I am still close with my high school English teacher. I was going through a rough time last year and I went to him a lot. He really understands what I am going through and he is one of the few people I can talk to. I still go and visit him and we can talk for hours on any subject. I trust him with my life (considering he did save my life). Is normal or even okay to have deep feelings for him? Like loving him as a best friend.... Keep in mind he is like 45ish years old, but very cool. I just feel weird even asking this.... (link)
I don't think there is a thing wrong with
that, so long as it remains just a friend
relationship. He is at an age where he is
a parental like figure for you to talk with.
A mentor. There are different kinds of love.
So long as you're not getting romantic
notions, its fine. :)

Thanks again for answering my first question. I was wondering, how do you go about finding out what schools in your area offer these classes. Also, did you go to work as an EMT and then later try for your paramedic. Also, if you don't mid ho does the hours an pay work?

Thanks YG! (link)
You might try a Google search for "EMT
training classes insert your city state"
I took my classes at a university, but
sometime fire departments hold classes
too.

I worked as an EMT. I live in a very
small town and didn't like the time
away from home. Had I lived in a
bigger town, I would have loved it.
But 24 hours on and 48 off is the
usual schedule. In a town where
nothing happens that's a long time
to sit around doing nothing & was
very boring!

I would have loved to take paramedic
training. But my kids were young then
and it is a pretty intense year of study
and clinical work. The only place offering
the training was to far away.

Some people may try to go straight into
Paramedic training. I do think you have
a much better chance of being accepted
into the program if you are already an
EMT. Not to mention you will have so much
to learn in such a short time, its better
to have the basics down already.

I started at 7 or 8 bucks an hour but that
was years ago. You can search pay scales
for each in your city and state too. That
would be more reliable.

Good luck! If you need help along the way
please stop in and ask! :)

How do you become an EMT. Is it necessary to complete an Associates or is it more like a certificate? Links with explanation would be appreciated. (link)
No associates degree needed. Classes for
EMT take a semester if taken at a school.
If you pass the class you take a state
certification test and if you pass that,
they send you your certificate!

I don't have any links, this is from experience.
Time it takes and all that is dependent on the state you live in.

Paramedic takes longer to get, usually a year,
and is more intense study. A LOT to learn in a
year. After you pass the class, its the same
as EMT. you have to pass the state boards test.

I might add the state tests are both written and
clinical. :)

Me & my g/f are thinking bout having sex. i wanna fuck her really bad, but I'm scared about getting her pregnent. She sayz she take birth control, but its only for her periods. Does that still work to stop her from getting pregnent?

We talk about it some and like she said that if I'm scared, we can just do it while she is on her period. If we do that, she won't get pregnent right? Its not too messy is it? Should I like nut on her stomach?
(link)
Birth control is still birth control,
regardless of what she is taking it for.
She should be protected from pregnancy,
if she is taking it as prescribed.

The pill in no way protects against STD.
You will want to use a condom for protection.

Make sure she really wants to have sex.
If she is telling you she isn't protected,
perhaps she doesn't want to do it.

Having sex while a girl is on her period
is not going to prevent her from getting
pregnant. Many have gotten pregnant
believing that myth. Yes it would be
very messy indeed.

The withdrawal method also does not work to
prevent pregnancy.

The day after pill was mentioned below.
It is not made to use as birth control.
Do not rely on it as a method of birth
control. It is for emergency use only.

i had oral sex with my boyfriend for the first time (i gave him and i also recieved)i dont regret it or anything .we did it in his truck out of nowhere we were so horny and we did it .it was afront of the store call target .after we finished we realized that there was a camera next to the car it was kinda facing down but not on us im afraid that they will or might of saw us.any help. (link)
When you have sex in public places there
is a chance you will be seen. People walk by
in parking lots all the time. Cameras are
everywhere these days. If you weren't
disturbed you got lucky. Did you provide
entertainment for a security crew? Maybe.

Next time use a little more caution. It
may be embarrassing to explain to your
parents if you get caught on camera. The
time to worry is before, not after.

this cake i want to make calls for 3/4 cup cake flour. its only available around here in cake mixes, which i cant afford. could i just use all purpose instead? this cake has you make a square that you put ice cream on and you jelly roll it. will it matter? will the cake fall apart if i roll it? do i have to wait a certain amount of time after i take it out of the oven? the recipe doesn't say and other cakes ive made, i notice , it tend to crumble a little. so i'm not sure. (link)
Yes you can! If your recipe calls for cake flour and you have only all-purpose flour on hand, you can substitute 1 cup minus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour for 1 cup of cake flour.
So just take out 2 tablespoon for every cup of
flour called for and it will turn out fine. :)

How likely is it to lose a money order in the mail? I bought something off Etsy.com and the person said she didn't receive it after two weeks. So I sent out another one last week, couple days after she said she has yet to get that one. I checked the address several times and she also sent to me in email so I know I didn't send it off somewhere else. So I don't know what to do. I don't have a credit card, paypal, that sort of thing so can't pay that way. I don't really want to send out another one but it seems rude to just cancel the transaction now. She loses money for the listing, right? (link)
Stop sending money orders. Something isn't
right with this. A money order is no more
likely to get lost than sending a check.
I agree she is scamming you.

If you are the type to answer this question, then you already know that Romo broke his pinkie and is expected to be out for 4 weeks (3 games). This opens up the starting QB slot to Brad Johnson. I was all set, ready to play Johnson (he's not my primary quarterback, I just need to fill a slot during a bye week), because Johnson is productive and the Cowboys have tons of weapons for him to throw to. They're playing the (terrible) Rams, so I was pretty much set.

However, today I learned that Romo practiced with a splint on the finger and it's gone from a no chance of him playing to a kinda-maybe-perhaps. It's only Thursday, so I have up until Saturday to make a decision. But at this point, should I stick with Johnson or should I dip in deep in the free agent pool? (it's a pretty big league, there are no QBs that are decent starts available)

Thanks. (link)
Tough one! You know, I think I'd go with
Johnson for this week. Even if Romo plays,
If he hits the pinkie he COULD go out again.
That could leave you with nobody.

I do remember another QB playing fine with
a broken pinkie a few years back, Can't
remember who it was right now though.

First off, don't tell me how it was a stupid thing to do because I already know that ok?
So here's what happened, my boyfriend & I had sex for the first time 9 days ago.
I'm on the pill, and have been for 5 months.
He wore a condom, but the thing is, he kind of put it on inside out but then fixed it.
I last took my pill sunday night at 9pm. It is now tuesday afternoon, and um there's nothing like a period.
um. am I actually pregnant?

ps. I started the pill to regulate my period.

(link)
If you have been on the pill for 5 months
and have taken it regularly, you are probably
not pregnant. Stop stressing about it and it
will probably come. If it doesn't I still
wouldn't stress about it unless you get other
symptoms. :)

okay for a while now my moms mental health had been droppin drastically...dillusions and constant mood swings and tons of other sypmtoms that go with bi-polar disorder. today she went in and explained to the doctor what was happening to her...after we all told her we thought she was bi polar she wanted to go see for herself. Well as we all thought she is bi polar and she has been put on medication...but we as a family really don't know how to deal with this. She will be on medication to help her but things seem different now that we truly now what is wrong. What can we as a family do to help support her in the drastic change in our lives? (link)
I'm glad she went to the doctor. Family
may suspect but only doctors can diagnose
and treat a person for bi-polar disorder.

You and your family can do your best to
support your mom. See that she takes her
medicine. If she has just been put on
medicine, be patient. It takes a while
for it to get into her system and start
working real well. It may take a week or
possibly a little longer. Don't let her
get discouraged and stop taking the
medicine.

Things WILL seem different once the medicine
starts working. It should be pretty much
normal around your house for a change! Let
her know how happy it makes you that she is
doing so well. :)

gastroesophageal reflux disease.
anybody know what helps to stop or hinder acid reflux?
tips?
kthanks (link)
This is from http://www.healthination.com/Videos/Heartburn-GERD/Preventing-GERD

Treating Heartburn and GERD

Lifestyle Changes

Control Your Weight. Excess pounds put pressure on your abdomen, pushing your stomach up and causing acid to back up into your esophagus.

Eat Smaller Meals. Overfilling the stomach increases pressure on that LES valve at the top of your stomach, forcing it open and letting acid into the esophagus.

Loosen Your Belt. Clothing that fits too tightly around your waist also puts pressure on your LES valve.

Keep Track Of ‘Food Triggers.’ You might know that fried and spicy foods can trigger heartburn. But so can chocolate, peppermint, garlic, and onion. Alcohol and caffeine are also heartburn triggers. Figure out what you’re specific triggers are.

Stay Upright After Eating. It’s a good idea to wait three to four hours after eating before going to bed.

Raise The Head Of Your Bed. An elevation of about six to nine inches puts gravity to work for you. Use a wooden or cement block under the head of your bed, or a foam wedge under the head of your mattress. Don’t use pillows since they will only raise your head and not your midsection.

Stop Smoking. Smoking decreases your saliva, and saliva helps protect your esophagus by neutralizing the acid. Smoking also increases your risk of esophageal cancer.

Home Remedies

A lot of people use home remedies like drinking baking soda in water, soda, or milk to help heartburn. These may give you temporary relief, but usually end up making it worse by adding more pressure to the stomach and causing acid reflux.

Medications

For occasional cases of mild heartburn, "over the counter" remedies may work best.

Antacids. These neutralize stomach acid and can provide quick relief.

H-2 Receptor Blockers. These medications are a stronger type of antacid. If you have GERD, they can help to reduce or eliminate symptoms, as well as heal an inflamed esophagus. H-2 receptor blockers can actually reduce the production of acid in your stomach. They are available in over-the-counter and prescription strength for GERD. They don't act as quickly as regular antacids, but they do last longer.

Proton Pump Inhibitors. These medications can block acid production completely and allow time for a damaged esophagus to heal. This medication was only available by prescription, but is now also available in an over-the-counter strength.

These, like all medications, can cause some side effects, so talk to your doctor about which option is best for you.

Surgery

If have a severe case of GERD, your doctor may recommend surgery. The most common procedure is called fundoplication surgery, which applies pressure to the LES valve and reduces reflux. In many cases this can be done without large incisions by performing a laparoscopic operation.

It's important to know that the symptoms of heartburn can mimic other more serious problems, including heart attacks. So, if your symptoms seem like more than just reflux, or if you’re losing weight or having trouble swallowing or breathing, you should discuss it with your doctor.

Here's the situation: I'm 14/f (freshman), and my parents recently got a divorce. My mom is now remarried and my dad has a girlfriend that lives in Florida. Now, the dilemma is, I now have a choice to make. My dad's girlfriend moved up here for a short time but then had to move back because she was unable to sell her house. My dad didn't want to go with her because he didn't want to be away from his kids (four of us). Now, I have the choice to either move to Florida with my dad or stay in Arkansas with my mom. They said I could do whichever and it wouldn't hurt their feelings, but I know I'm going to end up hurting someone. I suppose I'm afraid of change, in a way. I think it would be really fun to move to Florida. I think I'll make new friends and like it better. I'll get to start over, be anyone I want, blah blah blah, etc... But I'm afraid that if I move, I won't be able to return to Arkansas. Not literaly, but meaning, I'd have to forget about the life I've built up here and start over yet again. My old friends will have replaced me and will have tons of inside jokes that I wasn't there for. I'll have missed everything. Then I wouldn't have anywhere to go. However, if I went to Florida and did end up having a better life, I would be glad I did, because life in Arkansas is pretty boring. I just don't know how things will turn out in Florida. I don't know how to make this decision. I've asked my friends and family to help, but of course they are all trying to convince me to do what they want me to do, not what's best for me. I just don't know what to do. I want to move, but yet I don't. I've tried making a list of the upsides and downsides of both, but it's all coming up dead even. I don't want an answer saying "ultimately it's your decision". I don't want it to be my decision. I want it to be someone else's. Just tell me what to do please! Or if you've had a similar situation, what helped you make your decision?! Help PLEASE!? I'm stressing out so much! (link)
This was an easy one for me. The decision
is yours to make of course, but here is
the way I see it.

You stay with mom. Your friends and other
family are in Arkansas. You have plenty of
time for adventure later.

I don't think a parent should move away
from their children. Divorce happens but
parents should stay close and parent.
Thats their job. Your dad doesn't WANT
to, and I think that's wonderful. But
he is going. Following a lady he isn't
even married to.

She may be a very nice lady, but she
shouldn't come before a mans kids. She
evidently does with him. You will be
moving to HER house. She may not want to
share, it could cause problems and make
your life miserable.

I don't know her of course, just pointing
out some possibilities. In a nutshell, it
isn't you who should be making the tough
decision here. Its your dad. He should be
staying close and putting his kids before
himself or a girlfriend.

Okay well my ex boyfriend Elvis..I like him still. But we still talk and i just wanted to be friends. My other ex before him had naked pictures of me and so he got mad and put them up on facebook, everyone saw them,So elvis was like i want to see them, i was just kidding arouned with him and i was like ill show you. Then he was like will you have sex with me? I said yes cuz well i like him. He is not telling me i HAVE to do it and he is such a great guy. BUt im not sure if i should have sex or not.Im only 14 and i feel like I want to but then again i dont want to.You get what im saying. (link)
Using sex or naked pictures is not the way
to get a guy to like you. At 14 they are
all about taking you out for a little sex.
But are they interested in you as a person,
or as a girlfriend? Probably not. They want
easy sex. GREAT guys wouldn't even ask.

So don't have sex with any guy just to be
having sex or to get his attention. He will
just see you as easy. Not a girl he would
want to be seen with in public or to take
home to meet his family.

Hi im a 16 year old female. And I want to go to Spelman University. Im a high school senior graduating in June. But the problem is I live in Virginia, and my mother wants me to go to an all girl college, but she wants me to stay in Virginia, really Richmond cuz thats where we live. But I've already gotten my hopes up on Spelman, Ive been wanting to go there for so long. My question is how can I convice her to let me go. (link)
Moms can have difficulty letting their kids
grow up and leave the nest! I think you should
apply to all colleges you are interested in.
If they accept you, then you can deal with
mom.

The best thing you can do now to help your case
is to act maturely. If you work, put aside some
money for school. Don't spend a lot of time
partying. Act as much like a responsible adult
as you can.

I guess what I am trying to say is this.
Don't give mom any excuse for saying no!
Don't let her worry that you can't spend
money wisely without her help. Don't let
her worry that shes sending you away to
college where you will be out partying
every night. She will miss you for sure,
but that isn't really a good enough reason. :)

people tell me horses shouldnt be turned out in a pasture in the snow because they could run and slip and fall and break a bone. But I see on magaize covers, articles, that horses are out in the snow, some even live outside in the winter, that's why alot of horses need blankets..soo..whats the problem with letting your horse outside in the snow? (link)
Growing up I had horses. They can go out in
the snow anytime. Its just important that you
have a barn or other shelter for them to get
in whenever they want to. You need to pasture
them close to home in winter. You also have
to feed them and give them hay in winter.
There is no grass for them to eat. That is
the main reason you don't pasture them in
winter.

It is possible for a horse to fall. However
they are a lot more sure footed than you or
I are.

so just wondering, im a virgin and i know that guys balls are super sensitive. so how when your having sex does the girl not hit the balls? like how do the balls stay out of the way??? THANX 4 UR HELP!!!!!!! (link)
A guys balls are below his penis. They do
not get in the way during sex.

i dont know if my cherries popped. ok this sounds really stupid but i stuck my curling iron up there once (it wasnt on) n it went up like 6 inches or sumthin n nothing happened so does that mean my cherries popped??? THANX 4 THE HELP!!!! (link)
The hymen lies over the opening of the
vagina. If you have had anything up
there then your hymen has probably
been broken. It may have been broken
from normal activity if you feel
"nothing happened" such as bleeding.

Here are some pictures, should you care
to look. http://www.healthystrokes.com/hymengallery.html
