18/f. I graduated from high school this past May but I am still close with my high school English teacher. I was going through a rough time last year and I went to him a lot. He really understands what I am going through and he is one of the few people I can talk to. I still go and visit him and we can talk for hours on any subject. I trust him with my life (considering he did save my life). Is normal or even okay to have deep feelings for him? Like loving him as a best friend.... Keep in mind he is like 45ish years old, but very cool. I just feel weird even asking this....

By the time I was out of high school, most of my friends consisted of my old teachers, and I really enjoyed the time we spent together. It's normal and okay. I promise.
Older people can be your friend, and they tend to know what you're going through better than your peers. It's nothing peculiar and I'm glad that you've found someone that you can go to for anything.
Technically, because you're 18 and out of high school, if you had other feelings for him that would be acceptable as well, though I don't recommend going after a guy that much older than you ^_^ [ pseudophun's advice column | Ask pseudophun A Question ]
