is it bad that i am an independant person.. when ever i get a boyfriend i dotn like it when he spends any money on me because i dont like it when girls use guys to buy them shit. but anyways my best friend is makin a big deal about it and my boyfriend doesnt like the idea. he thinks i dont like him when i dont let him buy me anything.. can someone please either help me change my point of view on this?? or do you think it is a good or bad that i am independant?? thanks

no, it isnt bad that you are an independent person. your best friend shouldnt be making a big deal about it, but i can understand why your boyfriend might be a little upset. but you should let him buy you things once in a while, for his own sake.

OK, my hair is just about shoulder length, maybe a little bit longer. It's thick and reallyyyyy wavy and frizzy. If i straighten it at night, like right before i go to bed, shood i keep it up or down overnight? Which will help it stay straight?

i have long, thick, and frizzy hair as well. i suggest that you keep it down, because when you put it up the crease marks will show in your hair.
either way your hair will still be curly, but not as much if you keep it down.
get up 15 minutes earlier in the morning to do a quick re-straightening.

What do i do when i have an abuse of mother, who has mode swings, and is VERY abuse of somtime, its starting to be more abuseive than not, i am scared to tell anyone cause i know that it will come back to her and she will hurt me, like last week i didnt do my chores and she twisted my wrist, and now i have a sprained wrist.

i suggest that you get professional help.
i know that you are scared of what your mother's reaction might be, and she will be scared as well, but it seems like she really needs the help.

For a musical I am doing with a lot of dancing, I need to wear character heels. My parents are "opposed" for some reason against my character heels because they think it's a health problem for me, even though the heel is only one inch and the whole thing is built for dancing in. They want to buy me other shoes, but I need to wear my character heels! What can I do to convince them? They are CONVINCED that their way of thinking is right without listening to me, too.

have your teacher talk to your parents about the character heels. if another adult who is responsible tells your parents that they need to buy you the character shoes, your parents will probably will buy you them.

I've been with my guy for nearly two years, and we're planning to get married after college.
His parents love me, his mom treats me like her daughter, I call her mom and she's fine with it. My dad likes my guy, and my guy likes my dad (they have a lot in common, actually...), I have a ring on my finger, and we hardly ever fight.
The only problem is my mother...My whole life I've always craved my mother's approval. For awhile, she was almost my idol. I admired her...but I find myself trying to ignore her now. All she does is criticize things my boyfriend does and point out all the negative things she possibly can when she knows I love him and he's proven to her several times that he loves me and truly cares for me.
A big problem is my mother's chemical sensitivity. She's allergic to quite a bit of...well, everything, really. My family can't use anything scented because scents make her sick - they give her headaches, make her nauseated, she acts drunk...
She needs to ask people who come over to our house to wash their clothes in unscented laundry detergent, to use unscented shampoo, soap, everything.
My boyfriend's not exactly...compliant. I hate having to ask people to get unscented, especially him. Call me girly, but I like the way he smells. I can't help it. It's kind of a comforting thing. So I'm not pushing the "get unscented" issue because I don't really want it to happen. However I would like him to be able to come over every so often. He doesn't seem to understand that he can't fool my mom by standing under the shower for a few minutes and that he needs to use unscented shampoo and soap to get the smell that was there off.
He thinks my mom's crazy. It offends me a little, and I've told him that. But it bothers me more that my mother seems to be trying more than anything to get me to break up with him, though she claims she's not. She told me once "get another boyfriend who'll do what we need."
How do I get her to see that I picked him, I want to marry him, and I'm not about to leave him for some prick who only loves my body?
How do I get him to be more compliant?
How do I get my mother and my fiance to get along? I've tried talking to her and I've tried talking to him. I haven't tried having them talk to each other, though. I'm not sure how much that'd help, though...they can't go out to dinner or whatever because my mother's allergic to everything. What can I do?

this is a very common problem. most mothers dont want to give their daughters away- unless that boy is completely loyal and shows it. it will take your mother a while to accept that you and your boyfriend are getting married.

my friends say that im really pretty and have a nice body (not in a gay way or nething) and online guys say im gorgeous and evreything. a lot of older guys stare at me, honk at me, and sometimes wink. i really want a boyfriend, im always crying about it and feeling sorry for myself. im 14 years old, never been kissed, never had a boyfriend, and nevr even been on a date. i feel like such a loser. please help! thnxs!

you shouldnt feel like a loser just because youve never been kissed, and never had a boyfriend.
but if you really want a boyfriend that bad, find one you like, then ask him out.
most girls hate asking boys out. but boys our age hate making the first move as well. boys take longer to ask girls out then visa versa.

I've been going out with this guy for almost 2 months. He's amazing. He's good looking, Funny, Smart and basically everything I want in a guy. Except, He's 2 years younger than me. He's really mature though. If he tells his mom we're going out he'll get in trouble and have to break-up with me and it kind of bothers me cause his mom keeps questioning him why he calls me and why I call him. if you really feel that way about him, keep going out with him. his mom has every right to feel suspicious- but if you told her that you two were just friends, she'd probably understand why you guys were talking so much.
eventually she will find out, though. you might have to wait a while, but you should tell her sooner or later.

you may like him, and there is nothing wrong with that. i suggest that even though you really like him and that you want to go out with him, dont. if he has already broken your heart twice, he will surely do it again. you may go on liking him, and i know there is no way to persuade yourself not to. but if you feel that he is a player and that you dont think he would be a good boyfriend, only stay as friends.

I usually wear bras that are sort of like sports bras but they aren't. They don't have padding or anything. I decided I wanted a bra with more support in it like a cup bra. We looked at the cup bras, but the ones i was looking for had padding in them. I tried them on and my boobs actually looked like boobs! I'm not used to this change and I love the look and feel of them but, I'm not sure if I'm being too fake. I'm going into 7th grade and I'm a size 32 in kids bras. What do you think? IS this too much of a change from my no-padded bras?

im really sorry to hear that your mom's family really bothers you.
i am going through the same thing with my immediate family.
even though they make your life hell, they are your family and you should be nice to them.
i think that you should forgive them, but i know it will be extremely hard and it will take a really long time to do so.
i do not know how serious the mean things that they are doing to you are. though, here are a couple of choices the next time they do something mean: 1)ignore it, or 2)tell them that what they are doing is hurting you and to please not do it again.
and remember, you always can tell your mom what is happening!

if you are not ready, tell him. dont let any guy intimidate you into having sex with him. believe me, its not worth it.

Theres this guy that i've been talking to online for about a year. We eventually exchanged cell phone numbers and have talked on the phone. He is really nice and I find myself feeling in love with him. I know people probably think internet love is a bust but that's how I feel when I talk to him. He isn't one of the guys that wants to have cyber sex either, just to talk. He's always there when I need him and he's very sweet and he is always looking out for my best interests as well. I want to meet him but I don't know if I should. He lives about an hour away from me and he was planning on taking a train to visit me. I know there are some freaks out there, but I don't think he comes off as one of them and I also know to be careful and if I were to meet him I would bring a friend, of course. I don't know what to do, the train station is public but the town is small so not a whole bunch of people would be there. Please give me advice.

you dont know what people are like online.
they can be lying to your face, and you wouldnt know it. i dont suggest that you do visit him, unless a friend or a parent was with you.
i also suggest that no matter what, you should NOT meet him alone.

all three of those shows are amazing, and either way you are going to love the show.
i would not recommend wicked though, most people think it is amazing. i saw it with the original cast, so anything compared to that for me just isnt worth seeing. i also think its highly overreated, so when you see it, it might be a bit different than what you expect it to be.
i saw hairspray a couple of weeks ago, though, and it was AMAZING.

I am a little over weight but my friends say I dont look as much as I do weigh.I never really seem to have time to go to the gym so what can I do around the house or neighborhood that will help me?

eat fruits and veggies- no junk food.
do NOT go on a no-eating diet. go on a healthy diet =]!
you can also try doing about 10-20 crunches a day- it might not sound like alot, but in the long run, it is.
