Ok first of all, you getting all these questions about your political viewpoint is just stupid. I'm very left-sided myself but I don't think these are appropriate for this website.
Anyway, on to my question. My doctor told me to take a look at diet pills for my weight loss issue (I've been seeing him about it for a few years).
Are there any supplements you would recommend at all? Or tell em to stay away from?
Iam going to say something very controversial here. In my opinion and in the opinion of many others who are trainers- doctors dont know nearly as much about diet and exercise as they claim to. Simply because most MD's are not sports medicine doctors and if you look at them- they usually aren't anything impressive to look at. Diet pills can get you into trouble and they work temporarily really, It doesnt matter what the Stacker 3 and Trimspa ads say- It's garbage. If you need supplement help in your diet then I recommend a non stimulant diet aid called Tonalin CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid) which is an essential fatty acid our bodies need. No stimulant and helps to curb our appetite. Another recommendation I venture is Hoodia which is gaining excellent reviews in the diet world, also non stimulant.
I work out like two times a week. I run like 4 miles a week and do alot of like weights for my legs. How long do you think it will be before I get like toned-muscles? (I've started working out like 3 weeks ago.) Any suggestions?
This is a highly subjective question, different bodies react in different ways. Gains come fast when you're a beginner and then you hit a plateau and must make changes to your diet and training. I believe your gains will come fast for about a month or 2 and then you will see a decrease in the ease of your gains. Stay steady and stay healthy, if you really need guidance check out getting yourself a personal trainer to get you on track.

Starting a regular, nutritious diet takes time. The best way to begin dieting is to introduce foods slowly into the system and have your body practice on reacting chemically with all of these foods. Dont go cold turkey by dropping everything and just eating healthy, but let your mind catch up to your body as it is just as much mental as it is physical to stay committed.

Um...Ok. America can keep listening to liberal news and watching Fahrenheit 9-11 or they can get the truth by reading the NY Post, watching the Fox News Channel (which is now highest rated for its truth over the Clinton News Network) and reading what is called The Drudge Report. All of this stink about the war and Mr. Bush's motives stem from the Democrats' jealousy that they do not hold the power and with any luck, never will again. America has a bright future and Mr. Bush's proposed Social Security plan would have been great for my generation, but of course liberals wanted to do nothing but shoot it down because it would have actually worked. It's no secret that Mr. Bush's motives could have had something to do with money, but in the bigger picture, we took down a man who was a threat to the world and established another democracy to spread freedom.
How do you feel about the Atkins diet, or South Beach? Is it healthy? I went on it for a while, lost 25 lbs, but gained it all back when I stopped.
Atkins Nutritional company recently went bankrupt. The low-carb diet is going out of style and just doesnt work too good, this is because these diets are based on deprivation of a vital macronutrient and not dividing the macronutrients (protein, fat, carbs) into a sensible way. It is not healthy and is highly overrated, which luckily is beginning to be seen.

atleast 3 exercise videos, pilates or yoga or the firm..mainly for abs
using my gazelle 3 times, 20 minutes each time
walking 1.250 miles a day
and weight lifting every other day, about 15 or 20 minutes ( weight lifting to gain muscle so i lose more calories )
along with healthy eating, but NO DIET!
i'd like to kno any suggestions about my plan

First, do you think that you're just made up of arms, thighs and a stomach? What about your shoulders, your back, your chest, etc? Do you really want a 6 pack and no toned back or claves to go along with it? Case in point- if you go to a gym look at how many guys have enormous upper bodies and these little itty bitty chicken legs. It just doesnt make sense. You are still 14 and shouldnt be so very hardcore into your training yet because your bones are still too soft to handle daily resistance training, though your attitude towards it is great. The bench press is one of the easiest exercises to do and thats why so many people do it. On the other hand- a bench press can mess your shoulders up to a point you dont want to get to, which I can tell you from experience being injured from a 330 lb press attempt which I learned valueable lessons from. Focus yourself right now on your calisthenics and cardiovascular conditioning and in about a year to a year and a half take up regular weight training, combine these 2 with a great diet program and you'll fly high. Patience, Patience, Patience is something I cannot stress enough along with finding your training fulfilling and essential rather than a chore. Approach your training with a zest like "I can't wait to sweat and get dirty" instead of "Shit, I have to work out again". It can take you places you never imagined...but its only you who determines the outcome of that....

No they will not. Resistance training with weights makes things toner and built better
I may not know very much, but I do know that HATE is a bad thing and since you hate liberals, that means you HATE me and I'm a really good person. I am sorry you feel that way, because despite one's political choice, some of us might just be some of the better people on the planet and I've been here now 61 years and I really enjoy it and try to live by that Golden Rule. Perhaps you're so into your 'thing' you don't see life as clearly as you could!?

I'm about 5'6 and 110 pounds.. Id like to put on some weight so I have curves and not so skinny. You know like a hot curvasious body.. And I was thinking sense you are a trainer that you might know how I could do this..

Eating the right foods at the right times, staying away from the Food Groups of the Fast Food chain- Fat, Sugar and Salt. It really isn't too complicated to make the changes you want to make to your body, just combine a regular (minimum of 3 days a week) exercise program with a sensible diet (at least 4 meals a day) and have a great outlook on your body and you will see the changes take place. Dont go the fast route...this is a long time, hard work effort and it can open up more doors to what you discover of yourself other than a great body.
During your workouts focus on slow, controlled movements that involve all specific areas of the musculoskeletal system being worked. Remember to breathe correctly and often, do not stretch a cold muscle and if you need exercise descriptions check out the many many options you can find at a bookstore or over the web.

hey, so years of soccer, basketball, and football have been gettin to me. Both knees have been sore when i do anything, especially my main sport basketball. im about 5'10 but i dont think it has anything to do with my height. Anyone have any suggestions to help meh..

A question that has intrigued mankind for centuries and will continue to do. Some scientists believe the universe is still expanding from the Big Bang from background radiation waves detected so the sound is still traveling from billions of years ago and will eventually cause a "Big Crunch" one day that will bring the whole universe back into its original super ball of energy. Personally I believe there is life in other places simply because of the sheer probability ( a good example is the fact that our nearest neighbor of a galaxy- Andromeda is moving towards our Milky Way galaxy at roughly the speed of light, but this merger wont happen for another few billion years. Billions of stars multiplied by billions of galaxies leads to a pretty big probability. Our search for life has been based on looking at host stars similar to ours (Main sequence star- yellow in color around 3,000 degrees celsius surface temperature) and the relative distance of the satellite from its host star. The problem comes with the distance between star systems, light travels at around 186,000 miles per second and can circle the Earth 7 times in a second so it therefore travels around 6 trillion miles in a year, the closest star to our Sun is roughly 4.3 lightyears away. Placing an actual object on a vessel that travels at the speed of light has never been done and according to Einstein- couldnt happen. Our fastest probe only goes around 11 miles a second which causes a much larger travel time, so if we received a message from a star system 10 lightyears away- that message is 10 years old and we would have to duplicate the speed of light (if we even could in the 1st place) and wait 10 years for our message to come back. An interesting theory that hasnt been proven is the theory of Wormholes in the universe which are like little portals. If they do in fact exist- this would cut down the distance between star systems dramatically, changing everything we perceive about the Space-Time Continuum. It has been theorized also that if life is to exist in our Milky Way galaxy it would have to be in a either the 3 star system of Alpha Centauri or Zeta Reticuli roughly 7-10 lightyears away. This stuff intrigues me also- for more interesting info look up SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Life) which is a good organization started by Frank Drake. Think about this- The probe that sent the Apollo mission to the moon was powered by a computer that took up the size of a whole room and had the power output of a modern handheld calculator...we are just breaking into amazing new technology that wwill only get more advanced as our generation gets older.

Nice major. I recommend becoming certified as a personal trainer or sports nutrition specialist through a credible organization. ( I went through the ISSA which is an excellent choice) you learn a lot and it looks great on a job application when youre done with school. Not to mention the making your own rates and hours... :-)
ohk i want to know what i should do. i had gym on thursday and i have it before i go home so i have to change and i left my bookbag in the locker room cause our lockers arent very big so i left it sitting out like everyone else does and inside i had my purse which had my ipod and digital camara inside and someone stole it. poor fucker. but what should i do? i already talked to the school with my dad and the police got involved but what can i do on my own?
I'll tell you from 1st hand experience as they make me file these goddamn reports all the time at my precinct that most of the time the merchandise doesnt show up. Its recommended with stuff like an ipod that that you engrave your name on it since at least theres a name on it and if someone wanted to steal it in order to make money off it, no one would buy it. Its possible that a camera could have picked it up on some very off chance but thats your only real hope. No witness, no evidence- no chance. I hope you prove me wrong and it turns up though.
Hey... I'm 15... recently I shoplifted and was caught. I was told it wasn't concidered a "felony" because it wasn't over $400. It would go on my record as pety theft and my mom would be fined. ...Well when I'm 16 I want to get a job but... is it going to be difficult (or harder) with pety theft on my record? I was told that when I'm 18 I can 'seal my record'. For now... is the pety theft thing going to be looked at when I apply for a job? Has anybody ever been caught shoplifting? if you have, does it make it harder to find a job? or some jobs like wokring in a mall or department store or any store? Petty larceny is a misdemeanor and Grand Larceny is considered theft of goods that are $1000 in value or over which is a felony. Yes shoplifting will be a little speed bump in your application process but since you're a juvenile offender, it won't tail you the rest of your life. It's going to be tough getting employed now especially in a mall because of your access to merchandise.

Its simple- don't do it. There are plenty of examples and reasons on why not to do it so why even bother? Those kids arent going to be anything in their lives except sick or dead. I see too much of that shit on my job and what it does to people's bodies and not to mention if you get caught with possession of a controlled substance- hey good luck finding a real job any higher than Wendy's. 10 minutes of euphoria isnt worth a lifetime of regret.
I began this diet and exercise routine in the beginning of the month and I weighed 126. Its the end of the month and now I weigh 120/121 (I yoyo between those two weights every day). I lost all the weight in the beginning, and for the past for what seems like forever NOTHING has been changin!
I havent really been focusing on losing POUNDS but losing STOMACH (I have a fat stomach, but everywhere else isnt to bad) and I feel like NOTHING is happening. I cut out most junk food (I do cheat once or twice a week and eat a tastycake or chips) but compared to what I used to be, EVERY day I'd eat junkfood. And I've cut portions and I drink a tall glass of chocomilk for breakfast everyday. And I do 7 diff. types of stomach exercises: crunches, these two my mom taught me, reverse crunch, side crunch, bicycle crunch, and ab reach. I do 30 of each (except two sets of 30 on the two diff. sides for side crunch and the ab reach you do two sets also) and I do them every night except for Saturday at like 10 at night. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG!?! Why am I at this complete standstill. I feel no more skinnier and its just. As you can see I'm completely frustrated.
Whats going on, and how can I get back on track?!
Cheating shouldnt happen once a week....it should only happen a maximum of twice a month. Lose that garbage chocolate milk. Guess what? now its EVERYDAY you wont be able to eat junk food...that is unless you feel like wasting all of your effort. The government dont know anything about diet and exercise so dont listen to them. If you're really into it and need direction then hire yourself a qualified Fitness Trainer.

I wake up in the middle of the night or around like 3 am usually and get up and just drink so much. Like this morning, for instance, I remember getting up and drinking two cans of coke a cola and then a glass of chocolate milk and then just going right back to sleep. I usually do this very fastly. It seems like i cant control it, i just get up and do it without thinking. But i dont even wake up when i need to use the potty!!

Your problem is that you are drinking Coke. Things like Coke and milk and juice all dehydrate our bodies instead of hydrating it and cause an even greater demand for real hydration (WATER)
