I've been sexually active for about 6 monthes or so now, and I'm going to the gynocologist sometime this week. Will she be able to tell that I'm not a virgin? I'm only 16. Oh, and if she can find out, are they supposed to tell your parents? PLEASE, PLEASE HELP! (Indeed)
|
A gynocologists job is to know exactly whats going on, and so yes, there is an almost 99% probability that they are going to know that you are sexually active. They aren't going to make you feel guilty about it though, however, they will probably encourage you to talk to your mother about it and will ask you seemingly uncomfortable questions.
They will probably encourage you to talk to your parents about it, but they are not legally allowed to disclose anything to your parents. Not a word without your consent.

any creative costume ideas? i want it to be funny and cheap (Indeed)
|
The beauty of dressing up as someone from the 80's is that you can throw a bunch of completely non matching, neon coloured, hideous looking clothing and tack jewelry all together and call it a costume. Its quite simple. And the best place to hit up for parts of the costume would be a second hand store. Your parents might have some good stuff still lying around as well. I was Cyndi Lauper last Halloween. The only things I actually BOUGHT were pink hair spray stuff, a 2$ mens blazer and a bit of black lace material that I cut up and sewed together for bracelet type things for my arms. I had at home: tacky shoes, my moms really tacky 80's jewelry, a black tutu thing to make my skirt puffy, a black skirt and a neon yellow tube top that was my moms.
So, it was extremely cheap and pretty freaking easy too I'd say.

kool aid as hair dye.. anyone ever try it? should i try doing it? i only want something temporary b/c schools all strict and stuff about hair color. i just wanna find out if its worth doing and what color would you think best on blonde hair? (Indeed)
|
It only works if your hair is very light. And for some hair it just doesn't work at all. It fades and washes out pretty quickly too, though I've never done it myself so I don't exactly have first hand experience.
Use a lot of kool aid powder vs. water I'd think, to make sure the colour is strong.

Well...I loked this guy almost for 3 years now, and when i was in 7th grade i like him and he knew that i did, well it was obvious..cause i acted really wierd around him and everything. We never talked, we werent friends at all.But then last years i acted normal and it wasnt obvious at all that i liked him.And i'm still afraid 2 speak 2 him or tell him that i like him and that i'm crazy about him. He's populer and alot of girls like him...so i dont think i have a chance w/ him at all. Please help...I dont know what 2 do!!

Its not completely common to make the jump from practically strangers to dating. You have to be friends first and he has to get to know you. If you've already decided you aren't good enough for him then why are you bothering? You probably are good enough and you've just decided its not going to happen and if you keep thinking that way it won't happen. Confidence in yourself is appealing. Get to know him as a friend and be yourself, don't put yourself down or sell yourself short.
|
|
ok theres this kid that i really like and he really likes me and we have liked each other for like 3months now.. but for some reason were not going out.. i wanna try and go out but i dont wanna ask him out.. how do i show that if he asked me out i would say yes or what do i do? (Indeed)
|
Ask him out yourself. Its not the sworn duty of the male gender to do all the damn asking.

So tonight I got my first hickey. I always told my boyfriend not to give them to me cause I'll get in trouble but NO! What do I do to get rid of it, I can do makeup but it just wont work covering it up. Any ideas? Thanks! (Indeed)
|
Don't point it out to people for starters. Even friends, because if you don't say anything or draw attention to it, no one notices. If you want to use make up, you're going to have to do your entire neck. Otherwise you'll end up with a spot on your neck that is semi-your skin colour. Blend it in well or don't use make up.
Don't wear anything excessive like a turtle neck (since its summer) because then people will just automatically assume you're hiding something. If you have long hair then just wear it down.
EDIT: After doing some searches on the internet, seems that there is a general concensus that toothpaste works. Get some toothpaste (not the gel kind, the pasty regular kind, pretty sure flavour doesnt matter). Rub some on the hickey, and rub hard. Its supposed to do something with the blood vessels. This isn't my idea I stole it from many other people so if it doesn't work then go talk to them. :D

do girls like a guy to be to sensitive or not sensitive at all (Indeed)
|
Its the level of sensitivity that matters. Not sensitive at all is not attractive. Extremely sensitive is pretty unattractive also. A delightful and happy medium is really good. Knowing when to act like a tough guy and when to care and try and listen.
Everyone is sensitive, its just how sensitive you are thats important.

hey i'm 13 in august, and i don't know if it's sad, but i've never had a REAL relationship or anything... i feel like i really want to kiss someone, and have a real relationship, but do you think i'm too young? or what? I mean, school starts soon, and there might be new guys n stuff, and its my last year of middle school, and i dont want to miss out on teh fun of being one of the oldest... advice, please?
.:`Sarah':. (Indeed)
|
Well, don't go out there with the intent of getting into a relationship "just because" or because you feel like you're missing out if you aren't in a relationship. You have plenty of time yes. Go to school, see what happens. My first real relationship was at 16, and that also spawned my first kiss. So, compare yourself to that and don't feel so bad. There is no need to rush or force yourself into a relationship just because you feel like you need to be in one.

can u get pregnant if u hav sex on your period?? (Indeed)
|
Yes, you can.
Its possible also for sperm to stay inside your body for some time also. So lets say you had sex and then ovulated the next day, you've got a chance of pregnancy. Theres just always a chance.

all my friends think my one guy friend is gay and i think so too..but he deny's it when we say nething about it..what do i do ?? (Indeed)
|
So what if hes gay. He's obviously not going to come right out and say something. Leave him the hell alone about it and stop asking him.

i have been talkin to this gurl on aim and everything was goin great until she sent me her pic and my dads friend said she was hott. he told me to tell her so i did n she got mad at me bc he said that! now she cant stand me and i didnt do anything to her for her to hate me! what should i do? (Indeed)
|
You probably creeped her out by saying that someone around your fathers age would say she is hot. Talk to her and apologize and say that you never realized that would upset her and that you are in fact sorry and that you'd really appreciate if she would stop hating you.

how long after sex is the morning after pil effective??? do you have to take it the very next day? (Indeed)
|
The morning after pill has to be taken within 72 hours of having sex.
And just so you have more info, here's information taken from the www.morningafterpill.org
Emergency contraception (also known as the morning-after pill) is a high dosage of the birth control pill. It is recommended to be used after sexual intercourse, over a period of 72 hours, to achieve the goal of preventing or ending pregnancy. There are three different ways birth control pills are currently being promoted for this use: progesterone alone, estrogen alone, or both of these artificial steroids together.
If conception did occur then the fertilized egg will be rejected by the body or will die. This is called a chemical abortion.
Side effects of using the pill:
# nausea
# vomiting
# infertility
# breast tenderness
# ectopic pregnancy-can be life threatening
# blood clot formation
Emergency contraception also offers no protection against sexually transmitted diseases including AIDS.
There are no long term studies to show whether women will be permanently damaged, or risk such diseases as cancer, from these chemicals being given in such high doses.

hey everyone i play inline hockey and im a goalie and i just wanted to know if anyone know any workouts that i can do to improve my speed and skills.
thanx, hockeygoalie39 (Indeed)
|
Inline eh? Well, ice stuff will work just as fine too because you just remove the ice, its very much the same.
I found an article through google that is directed at hockey goalies:
http://www.goaliestore.com/doctor/feat_dear_g.php
And heres a book on it if you ever felt like buying it from Amazon.com:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/
0809297469/geosigncorpor-20/102-7050180-9984923
And finally, from an experts point of view I magically copy and paste the following for you:
"Now with regards to drills, there are lots out there for both on and off of the ice. First off, we recommend working on your flexibility. Remember to stretch well before and after playing. Staying limber should be an important part of every goalie's routine. Improving your flexibility will make you a better goalie and will protect you from injury. As well, you should make stretching an important part of your summer and off-ice routines.
On the ice, you should start by learning your crease. Practice moving post to post and up to the corner. Using the four corners of your crease, practice moving back and forth and diagonally. When it comes to your crease and playing goal, you need to learn your "angles". Playing goal is as much about cutting down the angle (the amount of net the shooter has to shoot at) as it is about reaction time. By coming out and challenging the shooter, you take away the net. But it should be noted that you need enough mobility to get back in position if the player passes the puck or tries to deak. Agility in the net is as important up and down as it is side to side. A good goalie needs to recover quickly after going down so that they can react well to the next shot. Practice going up and down, using the butterfly, skate save, and two-pad slide. Learning to get up quickly will improve your game immensely and will help teach you good balance.
Off the ice, you can do things for stamina, leg strength, and reaction time. Playing other sports over the summer will help you with all of these. Soccer will help with stamina and leg conditioning, and racquet sports will help with reaction time and eye-hand coordination. Other sports are a great way to train....after all, great goalies are great athletes. You may also want to consider going to the gym to work on your leg strength. Squats and other leg exercises will all help. It is important to note that maintaining your flexibility will be important if you start a leg routine at the gym. When it comes to reaction time, try doing anything that causes you to react quickly. Drop a tennis ball from above your head but behind your back. Then turn around and catch it. Or, stand close to a wall (move closer as you get better) and have someone throw tennis balls over your shoulder to the wall. React by catching the rebounding tennis ball.

I wanna lose weight, on my stomach and my bum. But I wanna lose weight before I go back to school in 5 weeks, anyone got any good ways? (Indeed)
|
For your stomach area:
Basic Crunch: Lie flat on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor. Place your hands lightly behind your head for support. Using your abdominal muscles lift your shoulders a few inches off the ground, pause briefly and return to start position. Complete at least one set of 10-12 reps.
Standing Towel Circle: Stand tall and hold a small towel (or resistance band) taut overhead. Contract abs and slowly draw a large, wide circle over your head and around your torso with your hands. Keep towel pulled taut throughout. Return to beginning position and reverse the circular direction. Complete at least one set of 8-10 reps in each direction.
Oblique Twist With Ball: Begin by sitting on the ball. Walk feet forward until ball is resting under your back -- body is now parallel to the floor. Place hands lightly behind head for support. Using your abdominal muscles slowly crunch up lifting your shoulder blades off of the ball and rotate left shoulder toward right hip. Return to starting parallel position and repeat then switch sides.
Make sure to do a combination of these and not just one. And a healthy diet helps as well.
Remember the following when doing abdominal work:
Don’t ever pull on your neck or head
Don’t allow your legs to move, they should remain still -- let your abs do all the work
Try to keep your belly button pulled in toward the floor throughout the entire move.
As for your butt, squats are a pretty good idea.
Here's how to do a squat:
Stand with your legs shoulder width apart (wider if you have long legs) and your feet parallel, or slightly turned out.
Cross your arms in front of your chest, or hold dumbbells in your hands and rest them on your hips.
Inhale as you squat, going no lower than the point at which your thighs are parallel to the floor. Keep your head up and your back straight. One way to keep your head up is to focus on a point high on the wall, near where it meets the ceiling (unless you're training in the Astrodome).
Exhale as you stand up. Straighten your legs completely, but don't lock your knees. Also, make sure your knees don't jut out beyond your toes. This avoids knee strain (which is also the main reason for not going lower than knees parallel to the ground) and won't recruit your hip extensors as much. Do up to 3 sets of 12-15 repetitions.

how do you make this super hot egyptian chick forget about her boyfriend and fall for you? (Indeed)
|
Tell her you love her in heiroglyphics? You can't really force a person to fall in love with you. But you can keep talking to them and hope that something with her clicks. Maybe her relationship with her current boyfriend will end and then there could be something more between you two. Be her friend for now.

when i was in 4th grade my dad came to my school and told me he was leaving forever. My dad is a very abusive person and threatend a lot of stuff on my family. Its been 5 years and hes back. My mom is afraid she wont meet any guys again. So my dad is living at my house and he yells at me a lot when my moms not home. Im scared of him bcuz he might still be abusive. My mom doesnt understand and i dotn know what to do. i get in a fight with him every day. Please help. (Indeed)
|
Tell your mom, you may not think she understands but she too suffered that mans abuse at one time too, so she probably understands better than anyone else. She probably thinks hes changed, but abusive people never really change, they will always be that way. Tell your mom you are afraid. If she still doesn't understand than tell another family member, like a sibling of your mothers who you trust or a grandparent (preferably one of your moms parents).

i love my friend from down the street. WE shared so many things together, ive known him since i was 2. He grabs my one day and tells me he loves me and kisses me softly. I really thought he meant it. The next day my total flirt best friend comes and steals him away. I know he still likes me but it was so hard seeing them flirting. He may like her. I am hurting so much inside knowing that there could be someone else besides me for him. What should i do? i really love this guy. (Indeed)
|
Did he grab HER and kiss her like that? Probably not. Flirting means little compared to the things you two have shared together. The guy told you he loves you and he probably doesn't even realize what he is doing is hurting you. Sometimes people are overly flirty without realizing it and they can end up hurting people they care about unintentionally. Tell him you're confused because of what he said to you and then you see him flirting with your friend. Tell him it hurts you to watch. More then likely, he doesn't like your friend and is just one of those people who flirt or appear to be flirting without trying to.

my best friend..
i went out with my boy friend for 9 months and now my best friend wants to go out with him and she talks about him 24/7 its not even funny should i not be friends with her please help and answer my question fast!!! (Indeed)
|
Guys aren't worth a friendship. Let her know it bothers you and if she cares about the friendship then she'll rethink things or at least how much she says about the guy. If she doesn't know it bothers you then you can't expect anything to change.

I don't really do that well on tests and I try an study an hour the night before tests. What are some things to help me score higher on tests? (Indeed)
|
There is this theory called the 'Poof' theory. The theory says that if you don't review something you learned within 24 hours of learning it, then you will forget it. So when your teacher says 'review every night', they are giving you a good pointer. Try reviewing each night for 10 minutes and you won't end up needing to study for hours the night before.

My sister and alot of other people I know like to scrunch their hair. My hairs on the straighter side and it can sometimes curl but it WONT scrunch for anything, with gel, mousse you name it. Does anyone know a GOOD product that curls your hair when its wet..and i mean WELL like for someone with straight hair that doesnt scrunch well at all. Please only tell me if you truly think it could work for someone with straight hair. (Indeed)
|
Ok whatever you do, don't buy Got2Be Kinking mousse, which is supposed to scrunch very straight wet hair. It didn't work at all on my hair, it just made it sticky.
I find the best way to scrunch my hair is get it semi-dry (leave a little bit damp) and then use a good regular hair spray, flip my head over and spray my hair with the hair spray all over. Then I just grab chunks of hair and 'scrunch' the hair and twist it around a lot and just generally mess it up. It won't work unless your hair is mostly dry though. My hair is very straight and it works well. The only thing is that if your hair anything like mine you might need to go back and spray more hair spray in it later in the day because my hair never stays curly all day because its just so damn straight.
