endilwen answered Thursday July 22 2004, 1:10 pm: Try studying for an hour each night about a week before the test. Make some revision cards with key points on them, and read them each night. The information will go in better as you won't be so tired, and the repitition will help you remember it more. Good luck. [ endilwen's advice column | Ask endilwen A Question ]
Mercy_x_Me answered Thursday July 22 2004, 12:28 pm: ask your mom for a tutor. Hopefully you can see this person once or twice a week. Express to her or one of your parents how important this could be on your life. If you cant pay for it or the whole tutor thing doesnt work, ask a smart person to help you... particularly a successful friend. Do you understand? Also.. when you struggle with one of your lessons in school, go at lunch, get some extra help. Study more than 1 hour for the topics you struggle with. And whatever you do DO NOT just study the night before your test, break up the studying if you have a weeks notice about the test, spend a half an hour a night just packing information into your brain. If its math, practice the problems, look in your text books, study techniques. Also, use index cards! Theyre great and its good to study with a friend. Use all of the above tips and i promise grade improvements...

littleangel4465 answered Wednesday July 21 2004, 9:41 pm: everyone has different ways to study but if it helps then u might want to study more than an hour or a few days before the test. i usually study the night before the test too but more than an hour and i make an "A" or a "B". if u dont take notes in class then u need to start doing that b/c i usually review over all my notes and then quiz myself or just pay more attention in class. and it really depends on how hard or easy ur tests are b/c if they are pretty hard than i would suggest studying a lot longer then u study now!!!!! i hope i helped [ littleangel4465's advice column | Ask littleangel4465 A Question ]

Sporkster answered Wednesday July 21 2004, 9:05 pm: Notecards! Notecards were my life savers this past year. Just take notes in class and make questions out of them. For example, on my Greek/Roman History test one of the notecards I made was: "Which Roman emperor elected his horse to the senate?" I wrote this question on one side in ink. On the other side I wrote: "Caligula" in pencil so it was hard to see from the other side. Just flip them infront of you every night a week before the test and you'll have it memorized. Hope this helps! - Sporkster [ Sporkster's advice column | Ask Sporkster A Question ]
FernGully answered Wednesday July 21 2004, 9:01 pm: There is this theory called the 'Poof' theory. The theory says that if you don't review something you learned within 24 hours of learning it, then you will forget it. So when your teacher says 'review every night', they are giving you a good pointer. Try reviewing each night for 10 minutes and you won't end up needing to study for hours the night before. Rockwell888 answered Wednesday July 21 2004, 8:35 pm: 1. Study days before the test! If you study at the last minute, you are most likely to forget what you learned.
2. Try asking your teacher for help! Stay after school if you don't understand something! =)
