14/f here, freshman in high school if that helps.
This requires a lot of explanation, so it'll be pretty long- sorry.
I have been going out with a guy, let's call him Bob, since October 18th. I first met Bob in sixth grade Art class, however he was really dorky and being the prep I was, I ignored him. In seventh grade I didn't see him or think about him at all. In eigth grade he was in my health class. I noted he was there and looked vaguely familiar, but didn't think much of him. This year, I saw him again at the Aloha Dance, and he looks much better, basically average. I danced with him and we agreed to meet up again sometime, then the dance ended and we went our seperate ways. Me & my friends were hanging out after school at the library one day when my friend asked who the guy was staring at me. I turned around and there he was! I said hi but that was it. This happened several times over the course of the week. Finally two weeks before the Homecoming Dance he asked me to go with him, and I said yes. I was so thrilled to be asked, I didn't really think about whether I liked him or not. He picked me up for Homecoming with the traditional wristlet, photos, etc. etc. then we went to dinner, and it was pretty quiet. The homecoming dance was fine except for the fact that he insisted on spending all our time with HIS friends- a few times I sneaked off to the "bathroom" just to hang out with mine. Also, he insisted on dancing VERY close. Finally at the end of the night he asked me to be his girlfriend and I said yes, once again so happy to be asked I wasn't thinking. That was October 16th and I'm still dating him. There are several problems though.
First off, I DON"T LIKE HIM!!! Not at all. As a friend, yes, but no romantic interest.
Also, he's superpossesive- I never get to spend time with my friends at brunch or lunch. He insists on kissing me in front of my friends, which embarasses them. It just really annoys me.
Third, he's too serious about our relationship- he's told me he loved him (i just smiled), and is talking about PROM! (I'm a freshman, as is he.)
I know I should break up with him, but he's just too nice. Many people have told me I go too far when I try to be kind, and this is the best example. I really don't want to hurt him!

I understand that you want to be nice to this guy and that you don't want to hurt him, but if he thinks that he loves you, and you don't feel the same, you shouldn't be leading him on. I guess the best way to break up with him would be to tell them that things are moving a little too fast and you think that you just might need time alone. Tell him that you still care about him and that you still wanna be his friend, but not as a girlfriend right now. It will probably hurt him, but in time he'll feel better. Hope I helped!
Ok, I have a problem lol. School is starting in a few days and I have acne. It's not that bad but it is in a way lol. What are some ways to remove or cover the acne on my face? I hear that toothpaste and nail polish remover works but could you explain to me how to use it on my face with good details? I'll rate you because I know the answers will be long. Thanks
Talk to your dermatologist about Benzaclin! Before, I would always ask questions about acne on advicenators but now that I have Benzaclin I don't need to! The acne goes away in like 2-5 days! Btw, how old are you?
okay when i first started asking questions on this site they'd send me the answers to my e mail and i'd just click on a link but now lately i have to go to "give advice" and find my question then get the answers and i don't like that because sometimes i miss out on some really good answers because they answer them the next few days..can someone tell me why they don't get sent to my e mail no more? and what to do? please thanks so much!

Now comb your hair along with the lemon juice! The sun will make your hair lighter! And the lemons will help make it easier for the sun to lighten your hair! Vaola!

I have contacts too =). Anyways, here are some tips:
1. NEVER rub your eyes!
2. Always clean your contacts after your take them out.
3. I use Renu solution, you may wanna try it!
4. If you see your eyes turning red, remove your contacts right away!
5. Always trim your nails, because they can accidentally cut the contacts.
6. Keep your contact lenses case handy, just in case.
7. Buy some eye drops to keep your eyes moist, because contacts can make your eyes dry and irritated.
8. Don't sleep with them. They can be displaced, and it will hurt in the morning.
9. Change your solution EVERYDAY!
10. Clean your contact lenses case once a week to prevent dirt or other substances from entering your solution.
11. Try to only wear your contacts for 5-6 hours, because they tend to stick on your eye, which makes them harder to take out.
12. Wash your hands before putting them in and taking them out.
13. Avoid smokers, because the tar can stick to your contacts causing them to hurt.
14. If you wear eye make up, put it on before putting in the contacts.
15. Gel/Hair spray should also be put in before the contacts.

Try using a method called sugaring or there's a product called Nads which is available in stores, which can keep you hair free for up to 8 weeks. And it doesn't hurt! Hope I helped!

hey. im really skinny so its hard to find tight fitting jeans like i want. i shop everywhere and i cant really find jeans that arent a lil baggy. i shop at hollister, abercrombie, pacsun, nordstrom, marshall fields, some designer stores u havent heard of and more.. and i cant find any good tight fitting jeans. even the slim sizes arent tighter, they just fit better around the waste. where should i shop? thanxx
Get your jeans adjusted. All the school uniform skirts were so big, so I had them adjusted. If not, gain weight...and I'm not trying to be mean or anything. Hope I helped.

What kind of friend is that? ...soz I don't mean to be mean or anything, but your so called friend wants to make you jealous. Unless, she really likes the guy you like. It would be hard to talk to her about it, so instead, just go up to the guy you like and talk 2 him, get to know him better.

I don't really do that well on tests and I try an study an hour the night before tests. What are some things to help me score higher on tests?
1. Study days before the test! If you study at the last minute, you are most likely to forget what you learned.
2. Try asking your teacher for help! Stay after school if you don't understand something! =)
3. Take your time on the test, don't rush, and if you finish early, DOUBLE CHECK!

i've been going to school with the same people for the past 10 years. I go to a private school and there is only about 30 people in my whole grade. we've all been friends up until this year. it all changed. i don't know what happened but all of a sudden, no one really likes me anymore. i've been nice to them all and tried my hardest to be there friend. i only have 4 really close friends now and it really bugs me because none of the guys like me because i'm not popular. help!!!
OMG! I used to have the same problem! Then after, I ended up switching schools, then everything turned out okay. Anyway, just try talking to your classmates, asking them if they did anything. If they said that you didn't do anything, maybe your just thinking that no one likes you. Try thinking positive! And don't worry about the guys, just go up to one, and get to know him!

You can't stop yourself from liking someone, but just try not to think about it! Instead, try going out with some other guys you know (and might like) to keep from thinking about "this guy". You go girl!
