Teacher keeps canceling class!

So I am going to school for my ged and for the most part I really like school. It's just I have one little problem. My teacher keeps emailing me and canceling class sometimes at the last minute. Last he emailed me when I was already at the school and I don't have my own transportation so my mom and step dad takes me and picks me up. My mom had an appointment that day 30 minutes from my town so I went to the library and did my work there out of my school book for 2 hours while my mom was at the doctor. I don't want to quit I really like school ,but he has emailed me 5 times either the before or 15 minutes before class. I don't know what else to do.

Hi! I’ve been searching for free sites that gives advices and stumbled on your site.
I’m 16 years old and I live in the Philippines. I’ll be on senior high school on September and I have to choose what strand to take. However, I am so confused on what to take. I don’t know where i see myself in 5-10 years. I don’t know what’s my passion and what I love doing. I dont know what career do i want. I really don’t know and it bothers, it frustrates me a lot. Ex friend messing with me and my friend what should i do?

An ex-friend of mine has been messing with me and my friend, This all happened on Tuesday where she came up to me and another friend and started to talk about my friend, she called her (I'm sorry for my language) a bitch and said she was rude to her for no reason. After she said this I told my friend about it, which then my friend asked her why she would say that, which then my ex-friend denied it and said I was trying to start stuff with her. I talked to our school counselor about it. The next day she came up to me and my group of friends and told me that I need to stop spreading lies, but she also admitted that she said it by saying that I laughed when she called my friend a female dog, and I said why would I lie and call my friend a fema...

Friendship problem

In my school I have friends and they are friendly but when we talk we talk like strangers. I feel don’t fit in with them. They all talk about stuff and when it is a joke they all laugh and I don’t understand a thing they say or what kind of things they like. We all have nothing in common, like really nothing.

Ever since grade 10 math has been killing me. Even the most simple things I just don't get in the exam, even if I practiced I still fail with flying colors, and I don't mean I just get low marks Im talking about 12 out of 100 or a 5 out of 50. I don't understand why, because I understand while practicing but when I am met with the test everything just seems more complicated and harder. I am doing just fine and get A's in all the other subjects but this one. Please help me,give me advise or what not. I also tried practicing math everyday because I heard it HELPS but at the end I got a 12 out of 100. Its gotten to a point where I dont even bother practicing(even before a test) anymore because what's the point?

Hi. I'm in middle school, and I'm the kind of student that usually gets good grades. We are about to get our 3rd-trimester process report card. I know what you might be thinking, "It's not even a real report card!". But my parents are really strict about my grades and education, so they might flip when they find out. I know my grades already, from PowerSchool (an online thing to check your current grades). I got an A, 2 B's, and 1 D. The D is my main problem!
Today, I had asked my mom something about my grades. Guess what she said? "If it's not an A, it's bad." But she doesn't seem to understand that a C is average, a B is above average, and an A is excellent. I'm not excellent in every way! T...

Insurmountable fear of School

I'll try to make this as brief as possible, but I just hate school. I didn't always hate it, even when it was bad. I went to a christian school with extremely poor academics but a wonderful community for six years, then spent highschool in a competitive arts school. While I always had some kind of underlying depression and anxiety issues, highschool brought it out in full force. It was a terrible experience and I've told everyone who will listen that I will not re-live it.
I was pretty set on my decision not to go back to college because of this. I have never had a long term goal in life, the closest to one I had was to graduate high school, which I barely made. But with a dog and a girlfriend who I aim to do the best for, I ...

So, I applied for this hard core fancy school I guess and I really just joined to make my mom proud and i felt obligated in a way. In my heart, I do not think I am eligible for the school’s system and will not pass the test they require. On the same day of the test, I have a volleyball tournament and I missed on the week before and feel I will lose playtime or even my position. It may sound self fish or that I put sports over education but I am just very confused. I don’t know what I should do and could really used advice.

Back when I started secondary school (being from the UK), the girl (who we'll call Amy) kept trying to be my friend. I didn't mind all too much, and just let her be. Eventually, it got to a point where just being in the same room as her got annoying; she'd randomly burst into song and get angry when I didn't sing along, randomly ask me to say words (since I have a weird accent), stuff like that. And my bullying got noticeably worse, being called a lesbian and such. So, one day, I eventually outright said to her "I don't want to be friends," in the nicest way possible. She took it well, and agreed.

I'm Sh*t at math

Sophomore in Highschool. All my life, school has come incredibly easy to me and I'm advanced in all of my classes but then there's math. Literally, we had our first test of the year in algebra and I got a 60% and it's discouraging me. I don't know what I am doing wrong-I go to extra help when the teacher has them, I do all my homework, I pay attention in class, and I take up free tutoring from other students when the school offers it (low income family, cannot afford private tutoring). It's so fucking annoying. I literally study my ass off and nothing shows. Teachers always say there is no such thing as naturally being bad at math, you need to work hard, etc, but it's not working. 6-12 School (new school) Introverted

Hello,
On September 5th, I will be going to a new school. The school I'm going to is a 6-12 school, meaning that I will not know anyone there. (I'm going to 6th grade).
I am introverted, and its hard for me to be myself when im nervous, so I don't know how i will make friends. I heard that you can make friends when people can relate to you. But when I'm nervous my social skills are terrible, so its harder for me to do that.
Secondly, I have never had lockers or had to memorize where classes are before, so I'm afraid I will go wrong with that, but friends are my main concern.
Lastly, the school I am going to is a very good school, that many people apply to but few get accepted. This means the stakes...
