Well it depends are you a guy or a girl? FUNNY STUFF? hm...i dont know think of like old cartoon charcters or something,everything was messed up in the 80's!! I dont know just think about it go to thrift shops maybe you will get some kind of idea.

Go to the thrift store. There are tons of clothes that can give you ideas. You can be a Hobo, a clown, or with some scrubs you could be a nurse. You could be a hippie with a tie dyed shirt or a poncho and wide legged jeans. Or a poncho and one of those sombreroes you could be a Mexican. They have all sorts of wild stuff.

The beauty of dressing up as someone from the 80's is that you can throw a bunch of completely non matching, neon coloured, hideous looking clothing and tack jewelry all together and call it a costume. Its quite simple. And the best place to hit up for parts of the costume would be a second hand store. Your parents might have some good stuff still lying around as well. I was Cyndi Lauper last Halloween. The only things I actually BOUGHT were pink hair spray stuff, a 2$ mens blazer and a bit of black lace material that I cut up and sewed together for bracelet type things for my arms. I had at home: tacky shoes, my moms really tacky 80's jewelry, a black tutu thing to make my skirt puffy, a black skirt and a neon yellow tube top that was my moms.
So, it was extremely cheap and pretty freaking easy too I'd say.

the spice girls! any one of them you could do it with your friends when i did it i got to be posh spice it was so much fun! i got a sleeveless dress of mine and wore tons of makeup and we all wore really high platform shoes!

i am the queen of costumes! let's see...3rd grade i was a bean bag(mom made it), 4th i was a phone(bought that one), 5th i was a homemade m & m, 6th i was a joker (bought again), 7th i was a tree (green sweatshirt and gloves, brown pants, pinned fake leaves all over the sweatshirt and even glued fake roots to felt and attached them to my shoes and hung a stuffed animal monkey on my arm), 8th grade i was Quail Man from Doug (undies over tan shorts, red shoes, Q on green shirt, and belt on head), 9th grade i was my dad (hahaha), 10th i was a geek, and 11th i was a "bench warmer"(i wore a jersey and sweatpants with flames ironed on the butt)

lol. same thing with me this past halloween. me and my friend we on a budget and we wanted to be something diffrent. so we were punk prep skaters (posers. lol) and we just rolled our pants and wore stripped panty hoes (and the panty hose are the only things we bought) and a shirt and used an old hat and make-up. just find things around your house and make them creative. PIMPS *n* Hoes are definitely the in thing. lol. but you could always use your slutty clothes (girl) and be a hoe or wear pj's and mess up your hair and be a BUM...hope i helped..plz rate me
