My friend acually told me a quick dye that lasts until 1 and only 1 shampooing. You mix about a teaspoon of cornstarch, a packet of kool aid, and just enough water to make a slimy paste. You add it to your hair and give it about 10-30 minutes, then rinse it out and ta-da! Totally temporary. I like to use it for tinting, and I mixed 2 packets to 3 cups and sprayed it/poured it into my hair and left it in for 10 minutes. The orange gives a slightly orange yellow tint (it's my favorite and I have a blonde/brown hair color)

Ive done it before. >.> I did like two red streaks of red. Left it in for about 3 hours (i completly forgot about it) It looked cool though. It'll stay in for a few months though, and if you wanna get it out quicker, you can use tooth paste. ^^..You have to mix the kool-aid with some conditioner, and put it in you hair, and leave it there for as long as you can,(the longer the better) if your doing streaks or tips, put your hair in foil and put plastice wrap over it. dont forget to use gloves though. you'll have colored hands.

Kool aid does work!! ive done it before! red koolaid = pink =P you have to boil it and then stick your head in the pot! lol well it lasts for like 3-6 months or longer! so if u wanna do it go for it!!!!

I think it does work, because alot of people reccomend it. It's not permanent, so don't worry. It may stay in for awhile, but definately not as long as hair dye. The color will forsurely work best on blonde hair, because it'll pick up the color(s) easily.

i've done it. it makes your hair hard and sticky and nasty. it stains everything and it might not come out of blonde hair very well. basically, it sucks.

Kool Aid is a DRINK, hun! NOT a hair dying product! If it was meant for your hair, it would be sold in beauty supply shops. ...and it's not! So just think about what u just said. "Kool-Aid as hair dye" NOT WORKING!

I've used red koolaid but just at the tips of my hair and thats it.. it took forever to come up and then when it faded it just stayed like that and look brown and not my natural hair color so i had to cut it a bit

kool aid works. my cousin used 2 dye her hair with kool aid. it wasnt like just wash out i dont think. i think it like wore off in a couple months. she had blonde hair and did purple and pink. i like pink hair so maybe u should go for pink. if u want something extremely wash out, go to a salon store and they have a bunch of funky colors you can leave in until you shower and they are much more reliable b/c kool aid is weird stuff

i dont think koolaid is a very good idea. it might work but if it doesnt then you might be up the creek w/o a paddle. but i know there is a bunch of tempory dies out there that work. i would do the bootomm half in highlighter pink. i wish to do that but myt parents are like well if god wanted you to have pink hair then he would have given it to you! So good luck in thewhole koolaid thing if you try it! I wouldnt tho.

ive havent tried it but i dyed my sisters hair with kool aod b4. kool aid stays in until you wash it out. and dont do if it is raining cuz that doesnt go over to well. do it if you want. and the color she always used was red. i think it works the best. but idk some hair it might not work in. my sisters it did cuz her hair was half blinde and half brunette. idk if itll work in plan brunette, red, or balck hair. but im not posistove. u can still try it tho.

Pretty much any color will go good with blond hair. I've never tried it, but I seem to remember my sister dyeing my dogs hair when we were younger. The dog went from white to pinkish.

Try searching google for tips on dying your hair with coolaid.

FernGully answered Tuesday July 27 2004, 3:11 am:
It only works if your hair is very light. And for some hair it just doesn't work at all. It fades and washes out pretty quickly too, though I've never done it myself so I don't exactly have first hand experience.

Use a lot of kool aid powder vs. water I'd think, to make sure the colour is strong.
