I like computer games, books, computer programming, and electronics. I am moderately knowledgable about computers if you have a problem. However, if you have any questions about fruits, vegetables, or produce in general, I am definitely the one to ask, with over two years' experience with them!

There, look for the "Restore to XP Default" link and right click on it. Choose to save the file to your desktop and once it is downloaded, double click on it. It will restore your taskbar to the default settings.

ok, well im 14 and ive never had a boyfriend. all my friends have had or have a boyfriend. im not ugly, and im really nice and stuf like that. i mean what do i have to do? i dont want to change my personality, and i dont want to be a slut. what should i do??? (link)

Hmm, well, I'm not the best with relationship advice. However, I will say that you really shouldn't sweat it. You don't want to change yourself, and that is good. But why do you want to be like everyone else, supposedly having a boyfriend? It's a good question, and I have some reasons why you would want to refrain from getting a "trophy boyfriend".
Most of the ones you would get into at your age will just end up failing anyways. Do you really expect to find a life-long partner, your soulmate, when you're just barely in high school? Once you get out of high school and you're with people who are on parallel paths with yourself, you'll be able to find someone with common interests and dating will make sense. As of right now, everyone is on divergent paths. When you graduate high school, you'll go different places. When you graduate college, you'll go different places. There's just too much instability at this point in your life to realistically try to "settle down" with someone.
There are many people out there who do not date until very late in high school. They don't want to have to deal with the stress and anxiety of pleasing a significant other. Your friends accept you for who you are, but when you date someone there is pressure to impress the person.
The only benefit to yourself would be to get some experience with males in a romantic fashion, but keep in mind that the ones at your age have not gone through a significant portion of adolescence and that they can drastically change as they get older. If you come across someone you actually like, go ahead and get to know him better through friendship, and if he is someone you like hanging around, it may be up to you to make the first move and ask him if he wants to do something sometime. At this age, many people are not interested in dating for reasons I've listed above.
You needn't force yourself into a relationship just because everyone else has been in one. I know that peer pressure can be suffocating, but if you date someone, the reasons need to be your own. As they are fond of saying at spacefem.com, "thou shalt not need a boyfriend". :)

I love how you correct grammar when people ask questions. =) (link)

It is for their benefit, as questions that have correct grammar seem more intelligent. Of course, I'm not the only one, since advicenators now rejects questions with more than two instances of chat-speak.

How can I tell if an avocado is ripe or not? I go to the store and I look them over and it's such a dilemma trying to pick out the best one when I don't know what criteria to judge by. Thanks a lot. (link)
|
When the avocado skin gives slightly and is therefore soft, you can tell that it is ripe enough to use immediately. If you won't use it for a while, a hard one will do fine, otherwise, soft equals ripe. Not too soft, of course, as those are probably rotten. Just as with bananas, there is a certain timeframe when they are good, between being under-ripe and over-ripe. I hope this helps.

Why is my penis slightly curved to the left? (My left) BTW im 13 (link)
|
Many people's penises curve or sit one way or the other. I believe that I heard one time that it had to do with which hand is dominant. It won't affect your ability, if that's what you're worried about. It will adjust to fit. But you shouldn't need to be concerned at all about that for a while.

yeah i am a big fruit and vegetable fan is it bad not too eat nothing else a part fruits and vegetable in college but my friends they think am on diet when am not or needed for that but they assume just 1 of them (link)
|
The government does recommend getting five servings of fruits and vegetables a day, so eating them is not a bad thing. But eating them alone may not give you enough of certain vitamins and minerals. I recommend having a multivitamin daily. Also, if you don't eat meats, you will have trouble getting enough protein. I think you might be able to get some from nuts, but I am not sure. You would be better off asking someone who is a vegetarian on that. At the most, you could go see a nutritionist to find out what kinds of meals would be best for you to have at your current age in life.

what kind of jobs are very well paid here in the USA in the computer field?
(link)
|
Computer programmers, software engineers, and computer support specialists/systems administrators are all well paid. The entire high-tech field is often very lucrative in its pay. I have some links to a government website describing them in detail, for your convenience.
Computer programmer: http://www.bls.gov/oco/ocos110.htm
Software engineer: http://www.bls.gov/oco/ocos267.htm
Computer support and administrators: http://www.bls.gov/oco/ocos268.htm
Systems analysts, computer scientists, and database administrators: http://www.bls.gov/oco/ocos042.htm
Most of them require high levels of education, though. High pay requires a good deal of effort in school. You get what you put into it, as they say. Hopefully one of those looks good to you. Otherwise that same site has descriptions for a multitude of other career paths.

Age, Sex, Location. It is a common abbreviation used in chat rooms to determine some basic characteristics of other members.

Has everyone who posts here forgotten the basic rules of grammer?
Do they not know how to turn off CAPS LOCK?
Do they not know how to capitalise the letter I?
I refuse to answer any question that is unreadable because the author cannot be bothered to write properly. (link)
|
You spelled "grammar" as "grammer". :P
That is a good rule to follow. It's hard enough to give good advice without having to interpret something that has not been formatted decently.

Okay do anyz of you know how to get rid of a column person you dont want anymor? (link)

You need to contact spacefem (the administrator of this website) through the following link: http://www.advicenators.com/question.php?u=4
In the future, that link is available on your toolbar to the left, under the topic "Contact Us". She controls everything and should be able to help you with your problem.

do pop tarts qualify more as a "breakfast" or "junk food"? i'm aiming for breakfast here, don't let me down. (link)
|
I believe that they could be classified as both, depending on the type you get. Like a pastry, pop tarts are filled with some fruit filling. And also, like a pastry, they can be had for breakfast.
However, I would say that the pop tarts with frosting and loads of sugar on them would lean too far towards junk food to be classified as breakfast food. For pop tarts to be put under the heading of breakfast with no qualms about doing so, unfrosted pop tarts should be the choice in the morning.

how do you know if you're addicted to the internet? (link)
|
If you consistently skip meals or constipate yourself in order to keep browsing without interruption, you know you have a problem. If your modem has been on for over a week without being powered down, you might have a problem as well.
|
I'm not a full-on vegetarian, but I try not to eat a whole lot of meat. Frankly I just don't think it's healthy, and I don't like depending on it. The problem is that everyone around me... my family, my boyfriend, etc. is of the opinion that unless you're poor or sick, you must consume meat at every meal or it's just not a meal. When I offer to cook black bean casserole or vegi pizzas, they're just like, "that's great... and what else?"
How do I get them out of this mindset that vegetables aren't "real food"? (link)
|
You need to provide a transition from meat to not eating meat at all. Cook some tofu in their favorite dishes and see if they notice. Then tell them that they actually aren't eating meat, and that will make them realize that they can have a great tasting meal without consuming meat products.

I'm not sure if this fits in the right topic, but....
there are hairs growing inside my ass. Is this normal? (link)
|
Many people have pubic hair in between their butt cheeks. It's like hair under the arms or in the groin area. The hair is designed to wick away sweat from the skin and dry the area out, although that doesn't work nowadays when people wear clothes. It did work back in prehistoric times. If you don't like it, you can just shave it, although I don't recommend that. That's what everyone seems to do now when they get hair in an area they're uncomfortable with.

my sister and I went to the swimming pool and when we got back she was like 'I WAN In tHE SHOWER FIRST!!!" so I let her take a shower first, and while she was in there I didn't know what to do then I remembered I hadn't played the piano for a while. so I sat down and played the piano. but I was still wet and had my swimsuit on. so I get up and on the piano bench, which is wood, there's this raised warped part where it's kinda lighter color and it's EXACTLY the shape of my BUTT and you can see where my thighs were and everything! I tried to dry it but it won't go away. I'm really freaking out because my mom will be home in a few hours and I don't know what to do! (link)
|
Find something and place it on top if you like to hide it, but if your mom is a caring person, she will forgive you. Too often I've blown something out of proportion when it just turned out all right.

I'm eating too much unhealthy junk food. What are some healthy snacks I can eat instead of chips and sodas? (link)
|
A little bit better option would be to get the new baked chips available now, or the ones that use olean to substitute for fat content. Celery sticks with low-fat peanut butter will provide the crunch and saltiness of chips without the calories. Fruit juices are also available that have a good amount of flavor with the added benefit of containing vitamins.

I've graduated college. I have a job that pays something like $15,000 a year. (I don't have a clue what I make. It doesn't matter to me.) I like this job, and don't want to change jobs.
Is there any way I can be a millionaire befoe I retire? (This is a severely economically depressed area, so I'm not sure that taking a second job's much of an option, even if I had the time to do it.) (link)
|
Well, the first thing you'll have to do is save money. Though this may be obvious, so many people nowadays bury themselves in debt, forcing them to spend a lifetime paying off interest instead of depositing money in an account. If you start saving now, you should have a large chunk of money put away by the time you retire, without even taking into account Social Security. A million dollars is a lot of money, but you'd be more likely to get there by saving money instead of buying lottery tickets to try to win as much.
A good investment portfolio, as risky as you're comfortable with, will earn you much more interest than a mere savings account. I won't claim to be a financial advisor, but I've heard that a good mix of stocks, bonds, and mutual funds is good to have. With the stock market so bad right now, you might want to have more invested in bonds. Even though they pay less right now due to low interest rates, at least you won't lose your money the next time stocks take a dive.
I don't know if your job could be done on its own, but many people have become successful on their own by starting a small business. If you feel knowledgeable enough about what you do and are comfortable with the risks involved, that could provide an opportunity to earn large amounts of money in the long term.
It will be a long time before you amass anywhere near a million dollars, so I'd advise making more reasonable, "stepping-stone" goals, of maybe 100,000 dollar increments, to help you feel you are making progress. Saving and earning a million dollars won't be easy or done quickly, so money-management skills and patience are a must.

How can I be a millionaire before I retire?
(Will a million bucks even be a lot of money then?)
(link)
|
If you go to college and do well, you should be able to land a great job that should provide nicely for yourself. I don't think you'll be able to save a million dollars, but you won't need that much to be happy anyway. If you meet with a financial advisor to plan your investments you should have no problem once retirement comes.

Why aren't you married yet? (link)
|
I haven't found that special someone as of yet. Besides, right now I'm in college and my number one focus is getting an education. Once I have that, I'll be able to earn enough money to support a family.
