SheaStadium answered Thursday July 22 2004, 9:32 am: You should go running and stop eating junk food. The occasional cookie or ice cream is fine but no chips or candy! Start out doing 30 situps a day then start doing more every day as u get better. Alos, be careful when you are dieting because 15% or teenage diets lead to an eating disorder. Good Luck!

AskNana answered Thursday July 22 2004, 8:57 am: Well,I dont really think you can loose weight in 5 weeks. But you can try to.Just do what I do.Eat this cereal for breakfast called Special K.You eat it for breakfast, lunch and just eat dinner. In 2 weeks you will loose about 10 pounds. But you can't be cheating your diet because that would make it diffucult for you to loose weight. FernGully answered Thursday July 22 2004, 4:28 am: For your stomach area:
Basic Crunch: Lie flat on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor. Place your hands lightly behind your head for support. Using your abdominal muscles lift your shoulders a few inches off the ground, pause briefly and return to start position. Complete at least one set of 10-12 reps.
Standing Towel Circle: Stand tall and hold a small towel (or resistance band) taut overhead. Contract abs and slowly draw a large, wide circle over your head and around your torso with your hands. Keep towel pulled taut throughout. Return to beginning position and reverse the circular direction. Complete at least one set of 8-10 reps in each direction.
Oblique Twist With Ball: Begin by sitting on the ball. Walk feet forward until ball is resting under your back -- body is now parallel to the floor. Place hands lightly behind head for support. Using your abdominal muscles slowly crunch up lifting your shoulder blades off of the ball and rotate left shoulder toward right hip. Return to starting parallel position and repeat then switch sides.
Make sure to do a combination of these and not just one. And a healthy diet helps as well.
Remember the following when doing abdominal work:
Don’t ever pull on your neck or head
Don’t allow your legs to move, they should remain still -- let your abs do all the work
Try to keep your belly button pulled in toward the floor throughout the entire move.
As for your butt, squats are a pretty good idea.
Here's how to do a squat:
Stand with your legs shoulder width apart (wider if you have long legs) and your feet parallel, or slightly turned out.
Cross your arms in front of your chest, or hold dumbbells in your hands and rest them on your hips.
Inhale as you squat, going no lower than the point at which your thighs are parallel to the floor. Keep your head up and your back straight. One way to keep your head up is to focus on a point high on the wall, near where it meets the ceiling (unless you're training in the Astrodome).
Exhale as you stand up. Straighten your legs completely, but don't lock your knees. Also, make sure your knees don't jut out beyond your toes. This avoids knee strain (which is also the main reason for not going lower than knees parallel to the ground) and won't recruit your hip extensors as much. Do up to 3 sets of 12-15 repetitions.
