Siren_Cytherea answered Monday July 26 2004, 6:39 pm: Oy vey. I had this problem. Right on my neck, too. Lol. I wore my hair down for a week and put Clinique airbrush concealer on it. That is a GREAT concealer, by the way.
I really reccomend that. I don't know if it actually works, but I hear you can put a spoon in the freezer and press it onto the hickey - supposed to make it lighter, or something.
Hope I helped!

xOchErrytWistOx answered Monday July 26 2004, 12:30 pm: i heard this works: put a spoon in the freezer for about 30 minutes. then put the spoon onto your hickey for a couple of minutes. then it should be gone. also, if that doesnt work, use major coverup and stuff.

xobabyxthang answered Monday July 26 2004, 9:36 am: wear ur hair down when you're around you're mom so she can't see the hickey and put coverup on it..i've heard that you can put a chapstick cap on it and scrap it so it'll become lighter [ xobabyxthang's advice column | Ask xobabyxthang A Question ]

xChainMeUp13x answered Monday July 26 2004, 2:41 am: wen i got my first hickey i was scared shitless of wut my mom would do.. so i covered it up wit cover up nd all kinds of make up but that doesnt work very well so i wore clothes nd stuff that would cover up mostly like lots of necklaces all different lengths, shirts wit long necks (i kno their ugly but it helps!!) the bad thing is theres like no way to make them go away quicker i dont think... my mom ended findin mine cuz i gave up nd the kid didnt kno how to give hickeys nd put it like smack in the middle of my neck.. then she sent me to a confession thing it was madd funny tho!! just keep it covered as much as u can!! hope i helped!!

FernGully answered Monday July 26 2004, 2:32 am: Don't point it out to people for starters. Even friends, because if you don't say anything or draw attention to it, no one notices. If you want to use make up, you're going to have to do your entire neck. Otherwise you'll end up with a spot on your neck that is semi-your skin colour. Blend it in well or don't use make up.
Don't wear anything excessive like a turtle neck (since its summer) because then people will just automatically assume you're hiding something. If you have long hair then just wear it down.
EDIT: After doing some searches on the internet, seems that there is a general concensus that toothpaste works. Get some toothpaste (not the gel kind, the pasty regular kind, pretty sure flavour doesnt matter). Rub some on the hickey, and rub hard. Its supposed to do something with the blood vessels. This isn't my idea I stole it from many other people so if it doesn't work then go talk to them. :D [ FernGully's advice column | Ask FernGully A Question ]
