ok there are these shoes called crocs I think. they are those plastic type shoes that are like 8 dollars at walmart. people have told me they are comfy but i dont see it ... they are hard plastic basically. Are they really comfy? will they help me if im on my feet say, 9 or so hours a day? (link)
|
I don't know about the ones at Walmart. They are
harder than actual Crocs.
The real Crocs are very comfortable. I won't wear anything else. I'm sure the ones at Walmart will get
softer with wear. I'm sure you will love them. :)

Should be there. Could be you are entering the password wrong or something.
If you try again and can't get it to work, contact Dangernerd. You can't have 2 columns so he will have to delete one of them. Send him your user name and your password for the randomgrl777 account so he can fix it.

My parents are telling me to re ask this question and to tell you that I am a guy because they want to see your response if you know im a guy.
Is it right for my parents to not let me hang out with my friends when no adults are around? My mom says she does not trust me even though she does not have a reason. The friends are three guys and we are all 14-15 years old. We have good morals, we do not like doing bad stuff therefore we do not do bad stuff. We all have good beliefs and are not like the average teenage male population that looks at porn and does drugs and other bad stuff. The kid’s house that we like to hang out at his mom is single and has a job so during the day she is not home. My parents will not let me hang out over there, can you explain why? Also do you think it is right for them to keep me from hanging out with my best friends?

I remembered your question for when you were a girl. I figured you were just playing with me!
If your mom says she doesn't trust you then you need to be talking to her and find out why not.
Do your friends visit your home? Do your parents know them? If not, maybe you need to let your parents get to know them a little better. It makes a big difference.
I am so glad you aren't into drugs and have good beliefs. Temptation is very strong for young men your age. Your parents know this and just don't
want you getting into trouble. It is very easy to
take a chance and "try" something when there isn't an adult around to keep an eye on you.
I don't think it is right to keep you from hanging out with your friends. I don't think that is really what they are doing. They just want to know you are safe. So, hanging out where there is an adult around isn't really asking to much of you. :)

I downloaded the game Audition and it signed up, and logged in and now it needs the verification code that was sent to my e-mail. Everytime i copy and paste it, it says that it doesnt match? I'm getting really frustrated. Is there any way i can get this to work? (link)
|
You can't copy and paste those codes on most.
You have to manually type it in. I suppose its
a safety feature of some sort, but it is annoying. :)

Well since ive been and advise giver on this here column ive always had good feed back and now there just isn't any why i can seem to get a fair rating. so im just thinking maybe i should just give up trying to help people that evidently need my advise but just don't want to thank the person helping them. So basically should i just give up on helping people that i guess don't really want my help if you like you can go to my column and see my work i think i help allot of people and this is discouraging my column is ask"RUSS" THANKS AND TAKE A LOOK AND LET ME KNOW ok thanks for your help! (link)
|
If you are here for good feedback and ratings
you are here for the wrong reasons. That is not
the point at all. Helping is. Nobody is obligated to leave feedback, though it is nice if they do.
People rate down when you use no capital letters.
No punctuation. Bad spelling.
Lose the bio info. If you claim to be studying three years to be a sex therapist and then write like a 10 year old you will be considered a not very good student. Instead of rating you like they would anyone else, you will held to a higher standard. Not to mention people around here aren't stupid. :)
Stop calling people sweetie. That pisses most people off. And we have had complaints.
I know this sounds harsh but if you want to change your ratings, you have to change the way you are doing things. Feel free to email me or send inbox questions to any of the upper level moderators if you need help. We are happy to help you have a good column.
Read and learn the Help/FAQ section found in the blue column.

All my friends my age and older have their period what do i tell them when thy ask and when do u think i will get mine i am 11 and a half (link)
|
You may not get your period until you are 13 or older. A lot of girls start younger these days, but 13 is about the normal age.
Next time you asked by your friends, just simply tell them you don't discuss sure personal things.
It really is none of their business. A girl has to keep some things private. :)

15/f
ok my ex bf who i broke up with about 2 months ago, has recently asked me out. He said he loves me and he needs me. So he asked me out again today and i rejected him nicely. I told him that I wasn't ready for a bf again and he said ok. But now he is telling everyone that he is going to kill himself. I feel terrible, its all my fault. So I feel pressured into going out with him again. But then I can never break up with him cuz he will kill himself, so i will have to like be with him forever. WHAT SHOULD I DO!??? (link)
|
If you don't want to go out with him then don't.
Let him threaten to kill himself all day, its not your problem. Chances are, like everyone before me has said, hes just pulling a whoa is me act. But, even if he isn't that is not your problem.
Do you want to get into a relationship you will never be able to get out of? I don't think you do but, that is what dating this guy will end up being.
Making threats like that to keep someone in a relationship are abusive. Don't even go there. :)

i got a job bagging groceries at a big supermarket a few weeks ago. i still get soooo nervous everytime i have to work, like im scared im doing it wrong, or not fast enough. i dread going and it like ruins my week knowing i have to work. how can i not feel nervous, and not dread it so much? pleaseeee help me (link)
|
Try not to stress about it. You will get faster the longer you do it. In the meantime, if you were to slow, you'd hear about it.
If you are really, really nervous about it, ask some
of the other baggers for some tips. Those who have been there a while will have some for you I'd bet.
Just be polite to your customer. They will cut you
some slack. :)

i want to save some questions on here, not to answer them.
'cause i have the same question, but people already answered it.
though i won't remember the answer when i actually need it.
so, is there a way to do that? (link)

Or, you can just go in the blue column and click on search questions. Save room on your computer. It brings up similar questions with their answers for you.:)

what does it mean when you find a indian pointing his bow at a star mean on a tootsie roll pop wrapper ??? (link)

It doesn't mean anything. When I was a kid it was the "birthday cake". :)

i wanan give my boyfriend a handjob but its sort of stiff when i try to...my hand ddoesnt move so lick and smooth down his length so i never move on....is this normal?
and should i just keep going?
because i cant use lube and i dont feel like going right into a blowjob (link)
|
Use some hand lotion, baby oil, something like that.
Whats happening is normal unless you use a lubricant
to make it easier. If you don't want to use a lubricant you might loosen your grip a little. That
will make it easier too. :)

yeah i kinda asked that question yesterday even though it wasn't a question.. i just wanna say that i still back up most of the things i said but i do understand that i should have said it in a calmer and not so negative matter. i was wrong & i apologize to those who i hurt (haha) even though you guys all think im a whiny teenager. i'm really nothing like that i was just trying to speak my mind. i really do LOVE advicenators and i'm kinda addicted and i don't wanna leave although many people want me to. some people on this site judge people unfairly, but the majority on this site are nice people and infact give good advice.
& to younggrandma you've always been an inspiration to me and what i said had NOTHING to do with you. in another question i asked, i was happy you told me how stupid and babyish i was acting. it made me change so younggrandma you have nothing to do with the last temper tantrum i had. i hope we can be friends. :]
once again i love MOST of the people on this site. and i hope i dont have too many haters after this =/
well sorry everyone because i really do respect adults and i dont think they are better then me. i just get angry with them sometimes. but its all good. (link)
|
I hope I didn't hurt your feelings very much but I wanted to give you a wake-up call! Had I not been
stern with you, you may not have learned a thing. :)
I'm so glad you like the site and if we teach you something along the way, we are doing our job.
I think its great that you wrote, shows maturity.
Of course we can be friends. I have a lot of respect for those who do the right thing.
Now, next time you feel you are being picked on
you file an abuse report and we will handle it for
you. There are those who will judge you unfairly
while you are here. You can let most of it slide,
but there may be some useful information to be learned too. :)

ok, i'm having a hard time understanding the whole "friends with benefits" thing. i mean, if you're attracted to someone, and that close to them, why wouldn't you want to just be boyfriend/girlfriend? and i know this sounds sexist, but... i can understand why a guy would like this arrangement ("woo-hoo, i can mess around with any girl i want!"), but as for the girls... don't you feel used and cheap? or are there really that many girls who just want sex and nothing else? i'm really not trying be judgemental, i just want to understand it! (link)
|
I have trouble understanding it for the same reasons. Your feelings are correct so keep them
and never do this. :)
I think, and this is just my opinion, that most girls in this type of relationship are hoping the guy will change his mind and want them as a girlfriend.
Some may just be in it for sex, but
I'd bet if they were honest, most are not.
The guy is getting what he wants without having to commit to anything. He can date other girls, they think he is wonderful because he isn't pressuring them for sex.
Meanwhile Miss Benefits doesn't date other guys, doesn't realize other guys probably know what shes up to. She gets a reputation. The guy doesn't have to spend any money on her, and he will take the girlfriend to the dance while she goes alone.
So you keep feeling the way you do and don't get wrapped up in a relationship like that. Discourage your friends. Girls need to wake up and have a little self respect.
Thanks for the question. Maybe if some girls see that not everyone is falling for that kind of thing it will open their eyes. :)
|
|
me and my best friend started a friends with benefits relationship about a month before he broke up with his girlfriend, which i felt bad about but we have this very strong sexual attraction that has lasted for years and we can't break the habbit. ok so thats bad enough that he cheated but are people who are involved in friends with benefits relationships considered whores? just because we can screw with 'just a friend'. it's not like i'd screw anyone, i trust my best friend very much. would you think i was a whore? (link)
|
I don't agree with the friends with benefit thing because it can lead to girls being hurt emotionally.
You are basically having sex with someone who doesn't care enough about you to make you his girlfriend. Typical male getting what he wants and
girl hoping to make it something more. Please stop
allowing yourself to be used.
However, no I don't think you would be considered a whore. The definition of a whore is a prostitute.
Someone who gets paid. Someone with multiple partners. So no, you are not a whore. :)

I got this in feedback a few days ago- and I have no idea what it means. Can someone possibly explain it to me, or is this person just a complete idiot?
http://www.advicenators.com/column.php?u=lauraxomichelle&mode=qview&q=494559
If that link doesn't work, go to my feedback and it's the top question that's rated a 1. Obviously you can tell who's asking this by the link I provided. Thanks to anyone who helps me :) (link)
|
Since the whole question is stupid, lets just assume
she is immature and can't spell.
I did bump your rating up to a 2 so it won't pull your overall rating down. On private questions anything 2 and above doesn't count in your ratings.
A 1 however, DOES count toward your rating. So report those undeserved 1's. :)

people on this site think they are so mature and know everything but they don't know shit. (some do, most dont.) first of all, alot of people on this site believe that if they live a simple life and dont care about electronics and huge houses that they are better than people who care about their appearence and want nice things. just because i have some designer stuff doesnt mean im not a good person right?!! i shop at all of the expensive stores but its because i LIKE the clothes. if you like walmart thats good for you but i dont. and i dont give a f*** what the "popular" kids think. i do what i want and just because i want nice stuff and care about my looks doesnt mean im immature. alot of people on this site are prejudice. and prejudice means PRE JUDGING. you guys are pre judging teenagers just because they give a care about how they look or what they buy. and usually its the adults who critisize teenagers. but if you havent noticed alot of teenagers are smart and they dont always follow the crowd... these uninformed people give us teenagers sterotypes when they havent even met all of us. i say i shop at abercrombie and fitch and suddenly i have all these people calling me a follower. i know how i am and i dont follow. i lead. wow, so i like the same stores as other people. BIG DEAL. i dont smoke and drink and im not a slut. i just CARE about my appearence. deal with it! stop judging the teens on this site wrong and calling them whiny bitches because its not us, it's YOU.
opinions please. =) (link)
|
I will assume that most of your rant is directed at me since I am the only "adult" who has answered any of your recent questions. All the other answers were from teens just like yourself. I believe this is the question you are referring too.
http://www.advicenators.com/qview.php?q=494934
In this question you seem to think you are "owed"
these things by your parents. You are not. Your question came off sounding like you were being a
poor little old me, I can't have what I want so I hate my parents and my life and am going to go drown myself spoiled little brat. You may not be in real life, but thats how that question came off.
In general, I couldn't care less what anyone wears,if they can afford to go buy it no matter how old they are. I do not judge people by what they wear, where they live, what color or nationality they are. I do however tend to judge someone by their words.
You have to admit that question was not one of your better moments. Neither is this one, since you are judging all adults because one didn't say, Oh you poor abused baby! There aren't that many adults on this site and even fewer who would even bother answering the question.
I do not pre-judge all teens. There are some very smart ones on this site I am proud to consider friends and favorite columnists. So if I'm the one you're mad at, get over it. I'm also old enough to know you'll understand what I was talking about someday.
No hard feelings kiddo. :)

I think the problem is they are all guys. Honestly from an adult point of view I think thats the problem.
I don't necessarily think it is YOU they don't trust, it just that most boys that age want one
thing and are very good at smooth taking a girl into it. I am not saying your friend are like
that at all, but thats what your parents are fearing.
I think you should get your friends together with your parents. I realize they have probably met, but maybe your parents don't really know them
well enough to turn you loose with them.
You all know you are not the average bunch of kids but your parents don't. They see 3 guys and you in
a house WITH BEDS! And no parental supervision.
So, until your parents see there is nothing more
than friendship between you all, stick to public places. If you do that then I see no reason for
them to deny you seeing them. :)
