i dont think the world will come to an end. i loves the pope and guess what?!?! in mejagoria a woman had a visiont that the pope was standing by mary in heaven. i feel really sad that he died yet happy because i know hes in heaven. just pray the next pope will be as good!

The world will not end with the death of a pope. True Pope John II will be greatly missed; however the world did not end by the death of any of the Popes before, nor after the death of prophets.

I'm sorry but not everyone is Christian or whatever that Pope is and those people think he is a healer through physical power. well, i feel sad. but i dont think that the world will end. the world will end when jesus comes back to earth, and hes not here is he? any way when the 7 secrets of the blessed mother are revealed then jesus will come back, and the world will end, that atleast what i believe in. and yes, i am preaching or trying to and im not ashamed of that. hope i helped!

No, the world will not end because the Pope died. He was 84, people die. He lived a good life and was a great Pope.

I doubt the world will end because of the death of the Pope. Especally considering that every Pope before him died at some point as well. Guess what? Whomever becomes Pope next, will die at some point.
As for the world ending, it'll happen, but the human race will be long gone before then. Some super virus will wipe us all out, or we'll push that pretty red button that sends us all in a mushroom cloud, or whatever. The planet is fine. It's not going anywhere, it's the people who are fucked. George Carlin said so.
However, I feel more for the Pope than I do Terry Schiavo. She metaphysically died 15 years ago; the Pope was just old.

The world is going to end soon... regardless of the fact that he died... the world is supposed to end at one point or another... and most people are in deniel... because they think it's not going to happen in their lifetime... but it is... the world is supposed to come to an end when things start to get out of hand... and well they pretty much have... our countries standards have gone down hill compared to about 10-20 years ago...

Hey...yeah its sad and everything..i mean our family is jewish and even my dad said he did a lot of good things . I think people will mourn and celebrate his life for a few days..or a couple of weeks..and when the new pope is chosen, hopefully he will do a good job also..but no way i dont think the world is coming to an end.

My sympathies to the Pope's followers and those who knew and loved him. I am truly sorry the Pope has passed away, but, it was going to happen. We all knew this. The world is not going to come to an end. Just because there is no Pope currently doesn't mean there isn't a God or a Jesus who loves you very much! Christ, our Savior, is still alive and loves us so much! We don't need a Pope to "save" us, or for us to go to for "confessions". We should confess to Christ Jesus, the Messiah. A person may be called into ministry, but the ministry is made true by the one who deemed the minister. --What that means is, the Pope wasn't what made Christianity or Catholocism (I'm sorry if I misspelled that) true. It is God the Father who makes our faith real. Without God's love and gift of eternal life through His Son, Jesus, we'd all be condemned to burn in Hell for all of eternity!
I am sorry the Pope passed away, but the world is not going to come to an end. I believe that there will be a new Pope appointed, and all the people who share a common faith with him will love him.

This guy has a theory which basically interests me basically for it's mathematical probabilities... He has added all the popes names to date like so:
John Paul I = 1
John Paul II = 2
Pious IX = 9
...etc...
Then added them all up:
1 + 2 + 9 ...etc... = 665
To date.
The only way that this guy's theory works is if the next pope uses a papal name that has never benn used before IN HISTORY. This is because only pope "whatever" the first would add "1" to the current number.
That would be 666.
I have been curious for years now to see what happens, as this guy has been working this math that long.

I do find this very sad. But no, the world isn't going to come to an end. They will find a new pope. First we mourn for 9 days. Then all the cardinals come together and vote on who the new pope should be. This, however, takes a while. Pope John Paul II is probably going to become a saint because he changed the rosery but he also needs to have two miracles while he is dead. I hope I helped! ♥ good luck
EDIT~ I do have to say this pope touched many people's lives. The next pope will not measure up to this one. He did create many earthly miracles.

Pope John Paul touched so many ordinary people's lives. he was a great man. I am glad to have been around when he was Pope. I hope more people chose to be like him. He was very Christ-like. Rather than catholic. I don't think the next pope will be as charismatic as John Paul. PS no the world is not going to come to an end.

No the world isnt gonna end! Its sad that he died but it was his time and he was pretty old. People are just gonna live their life normal. I really dont know what will happen I guess we will just have to wait and see. x0
